Dr. Andrea Bacon

Very passive aggressive, uneducated, closed minded, and unhelpful. Very disrespectful when dealing with patient, unfortunately very unhappy and unsatisfied after trying to make it work. do not recommend as any psychiatric help, maybe she can type though as she has a business doing that?

Went to her to get a 2nd opinion on a diagnosis while I was having horrible insomnia. After I tried explaining things to her and getting talked over and interrupted about 15 times she finally said, "ok.....tell me what's the problem" when I mentioned that I am suffering because sleep deprivation is my trigger for my epilepsy, SHE ROLLED HER EYES! Horrible doctor....it makes me grin to even call this person a doctor. Doctors go to school, they care for the patient, they respectfully try to empathize. "Doctuh Bacon" talks over you, interrupts, rolls her eyes, sighs out of impatience....psh how is she not like the employee of the month at a DMV?

I wish I could give 0 stars. I saw Dr. Bacon from the ages of 11-13, I am twenty now and the treatment she gave me continues to circle my mind in a negative way. It seemed like she never listened to me while her and my therapist would band together to hospitalize me frequently instead of dealing with any issues themselves. For a year, I was in and out of hospitals without even two weeks in-between before being sent to the next. The years I spent with Dr Bacon as my psychiatrist feel lost, and I can't get them back. She constantly gaslit me. At one point she mis-diagnosed me with multiple personality disorder and psychosis, trying to pump me full of meds, and that was the last straw. As an adult, I still have to deal with the trauma she's inflicted on me. Ultimately, the environment was toxic, uncomfortable & unsafe; I advise you not to send your kids to Dr. Bacon.

Terrible psychiatric doctor.

I was misdiagnosed with Bipolar Disorder by another doctor before seeing Dr. Bacon. I discovered my misdiagnosis in graduate school while specializing in mental health & addressed it with her on multiple occassions. She never completed an assessment with me; if she had, she would have realized I never met criteria. My last straw was when she told me I would not be able to have children with the meds she refused to help me discontinue. She doesn't advocate for or trust her patients' judgement.

Terrible bedside manner and prescribed to wean off a drug typical done over 3-6 months instead in about a week. Not sure she's well versed with latest drug practices. Made me feel very uncomfortable in general.
