Miss Karen N Whitehorn

She was my primary sine 2007 and she was awesome. She recently left the practice and it’s been a major loss. It takes a minute to get to know her and vice versa but once you do you couldn’t ask for a more caring and thorough physician. She is sorely missed.

I needed a new primary care doctor and wanted a woman. I read some if the reviews and almost didn't select Dr. Whitehorn; however, I decided to make one visit and decide for myself. I'm very happy that I did. She was very personable and professional. She listened to my concerns and asked questions relating to my life, not just my health. We shared several laughs. Thete were a couple of things I was concerned about and she scheduled appropriate testing. As soon as the results came in, I received a call and she went over things again at my next appointment. I know I am seriously overweight but not once did she mention ut. She said the most important thing was my health not my number. That while I could lose weight, yes, it was more important to focus on healthier eating and exercise. That the loss would come if I focused on rather than any number. My experience with her was good and I will continue to see her as my primary care physician.. I can't tell anyone whom to choose-- just that tou should judge for yourself. After waiting over an hour for a scheduled appointment, I was rushed out of my appointment. Doctor was dismissive of my concerns. She has no bedside manor. Did not offer help or even seemed concern. She changes appointments the day before. Honestly if you hate your job quit. Never going back.

She is very sarcastic, bedside manors are poor. I have to go back 2-3 days later because her prescription did not do the job on my ailments. Very slow, very dry attitude, and not too thorough. Looking for another DR

Not the best personality. She's my primary care Physician. But my trust in her decision is some what questionable. She treat all patients the same instead of individual problems. Medicine is a Science. Not everyone is the same. ????

I recently had three losses in my family, and Dr Whitehorn took care of my physical problems Also my problems with grief, wife 41 years, oldest nephew, and brother in law we have been her patients for many years,Thank God for her.

I just met dr karen whitehorn, I'm literally sitting in her office as I text. She has the worst first impression she comes in no smile no hand shake, she say what's the problem. She have a very nasty attitude and I will never come back to see her. I have never experienced anything like this before. WOW.. She left the room to get my pain medication prescription but I didn't even want it. I'm in so much pain but her attitude put me in more pain than I was in before I got there. She is a Dr. that is stuck, she's not willing to learn more she's stuck with just what she knows. I told her that I didn't want the prescription and that she has the worst first impression, I said I'm a new patient and you didn't smile you didn't shake my hand and that I would find me another doctor, she looked at me like she's could care less about the way she made me feel. Very professional she's been my primary for a couple years now and I can definitely say she is straight forward and thorough.... Absolutely love her

I don't care for Dr. Whitehorns service. The wait time is long, and she has a very cold demeanor about her. She can also be insulting at times when you ask a question of her. I also had test results, that in which she did not explain certain ones that are of concern to me. I've tried calling her several times to discuss these with her, and she has not return my calls. It's always her assistant who keeps calling me. It's time to find another physician who has a more professional and caring approach.

Dr. Whitehorn is very knowledgeable. The wait is about 10-15 minutes. Her office hours are very restricted. Her bedside manner is lacking, to put it nicely. I don't like for people to coddle me or sugar coat things, but Dr. Whitehorn is quite cold and condescending. Her snippy comments are not professional at all. I have thick skin and am offended every time I visit her. All of this caused me to find another primary doctor.

My encounter with Dr. Whitehorn was very professional. She is very thorough as well as honest. She encourages you to work on improving your health by making small changes and better choices.

She's one of the best Dr ever she genuinely cares about your well-being and how you're doing. She's very honest with you and doesn't sugarcoat anything. So be prepared to hear the truth when you walk in but it's honestly because she cares I love her to death!

She's extremely thorough. She doesn't rush to get to next patient. She will tell you the rough truth even if you don't like it so if you want sugar go to Fannie Mae first. She calls you personally to discuss test result issues if any. I am patient and understanding of time lag because I know she's giving everyone the same attention and I want nothing less from my doctor. She's extremely thorough. Her attitude sucks instead of simply calling in a prescription she decided to call me back instead and explain how she was doing me a courtesy and basically not to rush her. When the pharmacy had directed me to call back because they was closing and was trying to fill my prescription for me since they saw how much pain I was in. I guess she thought I was a welfare patient, because that's how I was treated. I work for the railroad and didn't have time to pick up my prescription when my original doctor sent it in or I would have known that it had never made it to Walgreens. She treated me as if I wasn't a hard working paying customer. The time it took her to call me she could have just called in the prescription. Now I had I drive another 5 miles away from my home to find a 24hour pharmacy and sit in pain for another hour before I can apply the medication. I hope this isn't how she treats all her patients. I went to her office on Tuesday. She has a great bedside minor. A great bed side manner won't safe my life when you office staff is unable to send referral appropriately. A person is only has strong as their link. If you have poor staff then your great bedside manner can't save lives.
