In attempting to get an appt with Dr Stewart (since I had surgery with Dr Riskic in the same practice) I had my MRI and x-ray results sent to the office. After 3 weeks of trying to get him to 'accept' me as a patient, he kept asking for my MRI results, which were in the file (for 3 weeks!). Because he made the mistake, he refused to take me as a client, without even knowing my case. Talk about a 'god complex', and it was clear he did not work well with his office staff. Why would I be penalized for his mistake? I wouldn't want someone to operate on me who could not admit they made a simple clerical error. What a waste of time.

The best doctor I’ve ever had hands down. He REALLY listened and REALLY his took time to explain everything…makes you feel like you’re his only patient. He is very accommodating if any issues arise, even told me his scheduler would text him and he would come in to the office to see me from home after my surgery. Would give 100 stars if I could.

I would like to thank Doctor Stewart for a knowledgeable, succinct evaluation of my Shoulder issue. In two sessions, he took the time to evaluate my shoulder directly and by interpreting an MRI. With all the data, he took the time to explain the mechanics of the shoulder and reason for my pain. After that, he explained options and was eager to answer my questions. He balanced the reality of the illness, with sensitivity to my hesitation about putting an active lifestyle on hold. We concluded with a true mutual understanding of my situation and a plan to mitigate my pain without surgery at this time.

Dr. Stewart is great! He repaired my fractured hip, explained everything, did a phenomenal job. I would recommend him to anyone

Dr. Stewart gave me the confidence to be aggressive in my PT exercises while taking a conservative approach to my recovery. I appreciate the time he took to listen to my concerns and to evaluate the issues with my injury. I have my range of motion back without jumping to unnecessary medical intervention. A nice bonus is that I wasn't kept waiting for my appointments at the Rhinebeck office. They have mastered scheduling!

Dr. Stewart has BEEN MY ONLY orthopedist for years. Dutchess ortho wanna tell me “we have to see if the doctor will see you, you haven’t been here for over 5 years” wrong. Wrong. Wrong. I explained to them numerous times ON DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, that I was seen in 2016 for my shoulder injury because I had an outstanding co payment for guess who “Dr. Stewart copayment for 2016” I even showed them in person. They are the most incompetent place I’ve ever encountered. I know for a fact Dr. Stewart would never DENY any patient care! So for Dutchess Ortho to tell me “the doctor won’t see you” is out right illegal, and immoral. I hope Dr. Stewart is able to go back to giving the best bedside manner, care and competent care that he is known for. Dutchess ortho is going down the drain. I pray Dr. Stewart is able to go someplace else and give competent and accurate care. I’m ready to follow him. There is no orthopedist that has his patience and bedside manner. You may wait a while in the office, but he’s spending just as much time with you as he is the last patient and the very last patient of the day. He comes in with your whole history. You don’t have doctors who care the way he does. I’m looking forward to making my Appointment the minute I find out if he has moved. Disappointed and over Dutchess Orthopedists. ???????? Dr. Stewart is the only doctor in 10 years who has been able to determine what is going on with my shoulder. He resolved the issue without surgery after many other doctors over the years said I had a tear that would require surgery to make the pain go away. He has also looked at one of my knees and diagnosed/treated it quickly. Sometimes there is a wait to get an appointment with him but it is worth it. Called twice - the first time was a 6 minute wait and the receptionist was a bit snippy as a previous reviewer wrote. I was unable to get an appointment for a reasonable date, so I made alternate arrangements with other medical facilities. Second time I called, several days later, there was a 9 minute waiting time. I left a message instead of holding and they never called me back (writing this 3 days after the second call). Dr. Stewart is one of the best doctors I've ever had. He listens. I mean he reallllllly listens. He takes through notes so when you are there for a second or third visit, he has a full understanding of the issue at hand. He explains things clearly and checks for understanding. He cares. He offers options to make sure the patient is being cared for properly but also making sure the patient is comfortable with the outcome. He cares about his patients and he follows up.
