Dr. Andy Hay

I have been seening Dr. Hay since 2006 for an eye condition that needs monitering. He also did surgery to remove a growth on my eyelid and did a superb job. He and his staff are warm, and, caring. We are lucky to have them in this area!

Our Family is since many years with Dr. Hay and Cheryl and now with Eleanor. We could not ask for a better eye care. We can recommend Dr. Hay to everybody which needs this kind of care.

I wish I could give ZERO STARS!!!! But it won't let me post without putting one star. The rudest most disrespectful receptionist answered the phone when my mother was calling to schedule an appointment and would not schedule her. I called back to schedule it and she was so rude, would not give me her name until I asked a bunch of times. I asked to speak to speak to her supervisor and she refused to put them on. Put me on hold then got back on said they were not available and hung up on me as I was talking requesting that they give me a call back. These are your patients, the reason you stay in business! Easy to schedule an appointment (but a limited schedule in his Warrenton office) and minimal waiting. Dr. Hay is friendly and seems on top of his game.

Very excellent Doctor. I had surgery near my eye and he did an amazing job. I go for to him for my regular exams.

Have been seeing Dr Hay for 15 years, he takes excellent care of my eyes, he diagnosed my glaucoma and has kept it from progressing for 15 yrs. He is one of the reasons I stay in manassas, I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Just hope he never retires!

I had to change eye doctors because of health insurance I use to have so I found Dr. Hay. he helped me with a very serious eye infection. I recommend him very highly. Cheryl is very nice. They are both nice.

I have been a patient since 1999 and have an appointment every 3 months for a pre-existing issue with my sight. I have had situations that required emergency appointments. I have always been able to be seen within a 24 hour period. I would have to say that Dr. Hay and his receptionist make me feel like family. Dr. Hay has a great "bedside manner" always asking if anything has change or are there any concerns before beginning my exam. Insurance has never been an issue. He is always concerned, flexible in urgent matters and his office assistant Cheryl is wonderful in squeezing you in if the situation needs immediate attention. My wife, Dorothy, and I have both been patients of Dr. Hay for quite a few years. He is an excellent doctor who treats us, not as a number, but as a person that he is truly interested in helping. He takes the time to find out about what is going on with us and how he can help with any concerns we may have. Cheryl, in the office, is excellent as well. Dr.Hay and Cheryl have a very friendly office and work well together to keep the office running well and fast for patient's to get in and out of the office as fast as possible . I am always greeted with a smile and told the truth about any questions, and or problems that may come up with my eye health. I have recommended Dr. Hay to many people. Knowledgeable and efficient

I have been a patient since 1999. Dr. Hay and his receptionist Cheryl always make me feel like family. I have a standing appointment every 3 months due to a previous vision situation. Over course of the years, I have required emergency appointments and I am always able to be seen within 24 hours. Dr. Hay always ask for any changes or any concerns before beginning his exam. He takes the time to discuss and show his results. Very professional and has a great "bed side manner"

Been going to Dr Hay for almost 20 years and I will see no other for my eye care. Had surgery (cataract)for both eyes just within a span of a year! I am thrilled with results. His receptionist Cheryl is a lovely woman who makes sure your visit is as pleasant as can be as soon as you walk in the door. They do put drops in your eyes prior to seeing the Dr.in the waiting room which I find as a way to lighten the mood in the room! I have had great conversations with other patients due to this. ?????

In addition to diabetic monitoring, Dr. Hay has performed lens implants in both of my eyes with great success. I have been Dr. Hay's patient for over 5 years, treated for Type II Diabetes and cataracts. He and the staff are exceptionally professional. Service is impeccable. All questions are answered completely and thoroughly. Dr. Hay cares about his patients. He will leave no stone unturned to ensure that your health is the number 1 priority, including referrals to specialists if necessary. Bottom line, I trust Dr. Hay.

Dr Hay is an excellent eye doctor. I see him four times each year due to diabetes. He is very caring and never speaks down to his patients. He has been my ophthalmologist for over 5 years and I think he honestly CARES about his patients. My wife is also one of his patients, and sees her annually. Most of the time, he sees me early or on time, unless an emergency might cause a brief delay. His office staff is likewise great, cheerful and accommodating. And they accept my insurance.

Dr Hay’s office and his policies are not at all patient friendly. I called to make an appointment in Feb and was told I had to wait until I had an insurance approved referral in-hand before they could make it. I finally get the referral and am told they can’t see me in a timely manner so I need to call another Dr. no regard for the difficulty of working with my ins provider in changing the referral.
