Dr khalid is the best. Very knowledgeable and very nice. Gives me a time and listened to my concerns and answered all my questions.

Dr. Khalid I will give home five stars , he is knowledgeable, expert in heart surgery and blood pressure diseases.

From emergency cardiac care , to follow up in hospital treatments, Dr Abousy is the best health care professional I’ve ever encountered. Horrible!! This Doctor does not communicate by portal or phone. My first meeting with him; he asked "why are you here, this is all the work of your PCP, I'm a Cardiologist" I had critical test performed which he has never ever contacted me about. He did one thing right; he got my BP under control with the correct meds. The office looks like a third world country in broken down dirty facilities. Horrible!! Maybe the worst experience I have ever had with a clinician. Our first meeting had a cursory exam along with Q & A. He acted as if I was wasting his time because he's a "cardiologist and this should be done by a PCP". He order several critical tests that were expensive and never reviewed, posted, emailed or called about the results. I ultimately had the clinic post the raw results so that I could take them elsewhere. I cancelled future appointments and took my business elsewhere.

Dr. Abousy is the smartest, most thoughtful, and most capable doctor I know. If you have any heart issue, large or small, he is the guy who will make sure you see lots more birthdays. I have extensive heart trouble in the family, and he met with my niece, nephew, and I to look at genetic testing.

Today is an important anniversary in my life. 19 years ago today I had a heart attack and my heart stopped. It is only because of the skills of Dr. Khalid Abousy and the staff at the ER at Potomac Hospital (since renamed) in Woodbridge, Virginia, I would be dead. Thus began a process that would continue until my release from rehab on February 14th. During the ensuing six weeks, I experienced another heart stoppage, nearly a month of induced coma, pneumonia, and a pulmonary embolism. I also had cardiac bypass surgery. Except for a brief time in the ER I was at the regional cardiac care center at Fairfax Hospital where a team of specialist oversaw my care. During the entire time I was unconscious, my sister and brother-in-law Barbara and Mike Levin came from Santa Fe, NM and were constantly monitoring my care. My colleagues at my employer, the Nonprofit Risk Management Center were extremely supportive, especially Melanie Herman the executive director. I can't begin to express my appreciation to all of my family and friends for the support and kindness I received. You know who you are and I am deeply indebted. Just a side note, shortly after my release, I was at an Olive Garden restaurant and heard a voice behind me. "Dude, you're alive." It was an ER tech who helped save my life at Potomac Hospital. He told me that they had been uncertain of my survival. The last they had seen me was being loaded on the helicopter for the transport to Fairfax Hospital. I would like to thank Dr. Abousy for his excellent care of my husband. We were in the DC area visiting our Son, when my husband had a attack. Dr Abousy did the cath and placed a stent. He was awesome, did procedure very well, and was very straight talking. He even took the time to confer with our doctor (who is out of state). Thank you
