Dr. Anthony L Doerr

Dr. Doerr and Nicole Adams his APRN are an amazing pair. Compassionate and caring. Their supportive staff are the best around. From the front to the back, the staff take the time to get to know each patient with care and compassion. I would not go anywhere else! These are the best!!!

He explained everything and the reasoning for everything. The entire staff was stellar

I was a patient of this doctor for a while. Saw him twice when I did not have sny problems. It was a referral from other. I wanted to have a primary urologist and I followed all directions. At the last check up appointment he wanted to perform unnecessary procedures but we agrees that he will do it when it is really needed. But when I really had urine and kidney pain his office refused me to help. I called on 03/18/23 around 8 am and the lady/nurse was very rude. She said they couldn't see me because of the doctor's note about my suspension. She said that I missed my check up appointment but the problem was that I never had one. I was not aware. I did not get any messages/calls or letters about missing appointment or suspension. At our last appointment Dr. Doerr said that I can call him when I will need to make an appointment. I was in pain that day and I hope they could help me but I got nothing except rude refusal! So please be aware of this doctor and his staff! Unprofessional and careless attitude to their patients. I called and got an appointment within the week. The staff was kind and understanding. I have not had any problems with the staff, APRN or Dr. Doerr. They are always so friendly and quick to help me get in same day when issues arise. I even missed an appointment, received a letter and called them. They were happy to reschedule me. An hour before my appointment I was told they don't accept my insurance! After waiting for 2-1/2 months, and new ultrasounds (which dr.doer ordered) Then the girl on the phone was super rude and not pleasant to deal with.

Outrageous priced 700.00 plus dollars for a 2 minute procedure and no follow up whatsoever on the results as far as a resolution to the issue or anything for that matter. In out and boom, 767.00 bill saw and spoke with him maybe 5 minutes and a 2 minute procedure.West Florida is always a ripoff.

He botched my dad’s lithotripsy and almost killed him. So if you enjoy life I would avoid this doctor.

If I could i would rate this Dr. a 10- . This Dr. has absolutely no compassion for people and only out to make a buck. I explained to staff the reason why I had missed 3 appt. The first was do to flu symptoms. The second was do to insurance that he didn't take in which I was there for and was told they didn't take Cigna Healthspring. The 3rd was same thing insurance. The 4th i was in West Florida Hospital for Coronavirus. All these are legitimate reasons why I couldn't come in for appts.,yet now because I missed 3 appts. I cannot be seen. Use this doctor if you want to entrust your health to an office that cannot be bothered to update their address and turns their phones off at 4pm despite being open till 5. This is of note because when you leave work an hour early, drive an hour to the wrong address and then spend an hour looking for an office that is now located across town (can't call because they turn the phones off) then they have the sheer audacity to call at 4:50 and ask why you didn't make your appointment. So if the customer service and business management aspect is setting such a high bar , one can only wonder about the quality of health care being provided. Dr. Doerr first appeared to be a good urologist in terms of his manners, and he explained that he doesn't treat UTIs unless a patient is symptomatic. Fair enough, but whenever I was symptomatic, I brought in a urine sample for analysis, but he just ignored it and never sent it to the lab. I received an analysis at the VA, and they provided my treatment. During my next annual appointment, he sent me for diagnostics and did a cystoscopy. I knew I had another UTI and brought in my specimen, but he refused to send it for analysis and after I stated that I needed a lab culture, he grudgingly sent a sample from what he got during the cystoscopy and sure enough, I had another UTI. Otherwise, I've never received treatment for another UTI from him as he just wanted to count how many I had during the year. Given his incompetence, when his nurse called to tell me I missed an appointment and he wanted to reschedule me, but I told his nurse that he was fired. Today, I received a letter from the medical center clinic stating they would no longer be able to provide my medical care because I fail to keep appointments. Actually, Anthony, you're not competent enough to provide service to me, and that's why I fired you, but thanks for your cute note anyway!

Never got to see him. If i could I'd rate him 10- . Only out to make a buck has no compassion for people what so ever. I had to cancel more than 3 appts for significant reasons. The first was do to me having the flu. The second I was there and had to cancel do to they don't take Cigna Healthspring. The third same thing insurance they knew about. The 4th i was in hospital at West Florida tested positive for Coronavirus. As you can see all significant reasons. Now I can't be seen because I missed 3appts. This Dr.has absolutely no compassion whatsoever. Very sad he is in a profession to treat people's needs.

Great physician and staff!

Dr. Doerr is a highly respected and extremely knowledgeable surgeon in my opinion. He has saved my "bacon" (no pun intended) more than once. His bedside manner is impeccable, very caring and compassionate. You are in very good and capable hands under his care.

I had my vasectomy and consultation with Dr. Doerr. Couldn’t have asked for a more understanding and caring Dr to go through this with. Was very thorough with the consultation and bedside manner during the procedure was fantastic. Procedure took ten minutes and was virtually pain free.

I have been seeing Dr. Doerr since 2015 in regard to my prostate cancer. He is friendly and takes time in his examinations and in discussing my health and answering any questions that I may ask.

I found Dr Doerr's staff to be rude and disrespectful. After complaining that there were no aftercare instructions on use of an interstim controller, the staff became hostile. They even stopped scheduling my visits for adjustment of the in-plant. When I complained to my general physician, I received a call from Dr Doerr's office to come in for a follow up, six months after it should have happened. Dr Doeer said "we seemed to have lost track of you"! I asked Dr Doerr to manage another condition and requested that he change the dosage of a prescription. He ordered blood work to that end. When I returned three business days later with the results, showing a significant drop in levels, the staff literally attacked me, verbally, for not waiting until my next scheduled visit to get the prescription - which was a month later! I found him to be insufficiently accessible and the staff to be dreadful. I found Dr Doerr's staff to be rude and disrespectful. My wife needed to see a urologist. I recommended this Doctor and we both were very pleased. Highly skilled and trustworthy.

I wish I never started treatment with him. I was able to be seen three time and then when I try and make an appointment they never call back. It’s impossible to get an office employee on the phone. Dr is poor at explaining medical diagnosis and treatment with expended outcomes. If your patient caseload is too high, don’t except new patients.

Great personality. Very caring and understanding. Dr Doerr really listens to my concerns and explains everything so I can understand.
