What is this practice even? My mom who has a blood clotting disorder and she has been having some pain and the RECEPTIONIST tried to argue with my mom over what she needs to have done and that she doesn't need to see a doctor. She has seen Dr. Felice before and wanted to go back for a check-up. She is the person who registers new patients and she is AWFUL! She told my mom to go to the ER, despite her not needing to go to the ER, because she was sent by her PCP to a hematologist to do tests and to check her out. This receptionist told my mom that she doesn't need to see a doctor and that she needs to go to the ER to see if she has clots and to come back to them if she does. She also tried telling her that the blood tests for her condition don't exist and that she doesn't need them, anyway. Which med school did she go to? Who is she to diagnose over the phone? Who the hell would come to the hematologist when they have clots? You go to one to prevent them! Who the hell is a RECEPTIONIST to tell potential PAYING customers with legitimate concerns calling to the correct department what they should do and who they can and cannot see? What is this? Who trained her? I will be writing this review every where and I will be calling INOVA tomorrow to place a complaint. I have worked in the medical field for years and this is unacceptable! No one who is not a medical personnel is allowed to diagnose or give medical advice over the phone! This is illegal and dangerous! What is this practice even? They've provided years of great services for me and my family.

My wife started taking Coumadin over 20 years ago. She has had a number of near fatal bleeding incidents over the years. Every time, the treating doctors saw she was on Coumadin and stopped looking, they assumed that _had_ to be the reason. Dr. Felice was the ONLY doctor in 18 years to look at the "whole person" and realized that she has an underlying blood disorder and her bleeding episodes were Not just because of Coumadin. This Doctor asks questions and answers your questions completely. Did not feel rushed at all

Dr. Felice was patient, ( o so patient) funny and completely easy to talk to. I am glad my husband was able to be treated by him and his team. Thank you Inova for hiring what I consider the best!

I have not had any contact with Dr. Felice in many many years. The last time I saw him was in Brooklyn, NY He treated my father in a VA hospital where he was still training. He saved my fathers life. We don't credit the doctors he was training under we give him all of the credit. He had the best bedside manner with the patient and the family.

He saved my wife's life. What else is there to say.
