Dr. Arnold I Cutler

I chose Dr Cutler after my dental insurance changed, and I'm glad I did. Dr Cutler is a very good dentist, and seems dedicated to providing excellent care. The staff is professional and friendly. His may not be the most chic dental office, but his dentistry is top-notch.

If I could leave less than 1 star, I would. By far the most unprofessional group of medical nonprofessionals on the West Coast. I scheduled an appointment to have a broken cap repaired and got into an accident, breaking my foot. I spent that day in the ER. When I called to reschedule, the witch at the front desk told me the only way they would do it is if I come in and pay in advance for my treatment and then schedule it. I have always been terrified of the dentist , the procedure I had yesterday , I had 20 years ago, so of coarse I was frightened with the thought of going through his again, very painful . Excellent and thorough. Caught some issues that my previous dentist didn't notice. Would have been a lot more expensive and painful. Good move coming to Dr. Cutler. Friendly and welcoming staff/office

DR. Cutler and his staff are wonderful even to my family who are a challange. My son and I are sooo scared. And they always do their best for us. We've been using dr Cutler for 20 plus years. This is a highly recommended place to go if you a fear of the dentist. They will make you feel comfortable.

Dr. Cutler and his team are great. They are very reasonable and honest when it comes to your teeth. I have been going there for about 1 year now and just recently starting taking my husband there. I cant imagine going anywhere else they do everything! Just had the doctor personally take time out of his day to see how my husband was doing after just having a deep cleaning done yesterday. Didn't have insurance at the moment and it seemed as if I wasn't good enough for their services, kinda treated me like I was in an assembly line. Plus told me one price on the phone and when I was done it was over 100 dollars more than what they told me on the phone. I was definitely not pleased with their services and will not go back

Dr. Cutler and his staff are amazing. Friendly, knowledgeable, and thorough. Dr. Cutler is truly and artist in his field. I have and will continue to highly recommend.

Just started going here when i got married to husband who has been going here for 12yrs he told me about this place and i was very satisfied with the treatment and service from dr. I was extremely shocked with the level of care and wonderful staff. I honestly didn't know what to expect but was certainly surprised with their professionalism, cheer, gentleness and good quality work provided. I would recommend this practice to anyone looking for a good Dentist.

One morning I woke up and my right rear lower molar was talking to me enough that I figured it was time to see my friend Dr. Cutler. I called the office and told Kathy what the problem was and she looked at my last check up and told me that I had a crack in that tooth the last time I was seen and that a crown was the way to go on that one. Now since I don't have dental insurance and pay with cash she informed me of the approximate cost of the procedure and set an appointment for me. I arrive to my appointment and sure enough when Dr. Cutler showed me the tooth with his ultra modern camera three cracks were visible and two small chips seen at the flat chewing surface and guess what? A root canal was also needed. Once everything was explained to me, Kathy came in and told me what the total procedure would cost me and I was really surprised that the cost was less than the crown alone with a discount. I was on board, but before I said yes, I asked if he used gas to preform this root canal and he said that he doesn't use gas at all. I'm a chicken when it comes to needles in the mouth, but he promised not to hurt me at all. He placed a coconut flavored solution that numbed the area he was going to use the needle and sure enough, no pain, not even during the root canal itself, what a relief. He also takes the time to do a personal telephone follow-up the very same day as your procedure to see how things are going with you. To make this long story short, I rate Dr. Cutler 5 Stars for excellence along with his staff. So whether you have insurance or not Dr. Cutler is a pain free dentist you can count on. I went to Dr. Cutler after winning a raffle prize for free whitening at his office. It was a refreshing change to walk into a dentist office that felt like the dentist I went to as a child, not a huge office where you are treated like a number. I returned to my primary dentist (huge office) after I started having a toothache a few months later. After about 5 minutes of x-rays and looking at my mouth my normal dentist informed me that I needed to have a tooth pulled (and not the one that was bothering me!) and then get 2 new crowns and a bridge for the small fee of $5,000. Needless to say I got out of there as quickly as I could and called Dr. Cutler. They had an appointment for me the next day! Dr. Cutler was able to see that all I needed was a root canal in the tooth that was bothering me and was able to schedule me quickly since I was going out of town. He takes the time to tell you everything step by step and makes sure that you are comfortable throughout the procedure. From now on Dr. Cutler will be my dentist. AMAZING!!!!! Be prepared to smile! Dr. Cutler and his staff provide a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Before coming to Dr. Cutler I had a real fear of going to the Dentist, but it is now an experience I really look forward to. The staff make you feel special and take the time to really listen to you, which is rare! I have been going to see Dr. Cutler since about 2000, and he and his team never fail to impress me on each visit! They are all so friendly. I love Kelly! She always remembers what we talked about 6 months earlier! I feel like I have known her for ever! And Dr. Cutler is such a great dentist! Whenever I have had cavities filled, he has always called me that night to follow up and make sure everything is going good, since I tend to have my cavities filled without any meds. I would highly recommend this fantastic staff to everyone! Dr. Cutler and his staff are super knowledgeable, stay up-to-date with the latest dental technology, and are genuinely committed to serving their clients. They care about what happens to you and are as flexible as possible to be able to accommodate your life circumstances. Whether you're in need of regular dental check-ups or serious dental work, Dr. Cutler and staff are the best option. It's never pleasant to have someone drill around in your teeth, but he is so calm and gently explains what he is going to do next and why and what you should expect to feel, etc that the experience is about as stress free as it's going to get. You know exactly what's happening to your teeth and that you're in very competent hands. I've been going to this dentist for regular check-ups since I was a kid. Even though I live up north now, I still come back to Lakeside for my dentist visits because I trust Dr. Cutler, Kelli, and the rest of their staff so much. In July 2013, I had a root canal on one of my front teeth that was damaged in a bike accident. I was nervous about the procedure and wanted to make sure I understood it fully before I committed to it to know that it was necessary and know what to expect. Dr. Cutler was very patient and explained how the root in my tooth had been damaged by the impact of the fall and showed me x-rays of the root damage so I could see for myself. Then he explained step-by-step what he would do during the root canal and answered all of my questions without pressuring me so that I could make an informed decision about whether or not I wanted to have the procedure. I didn't have dental insurance at the time of my root canal, and the front desk staff at Dr. Cutler's office helped me set up a Care Credit account so I could spread my payments out over 12 months with 0% interest. So to recap, Dr. Cutler's practice is super knowledgeable, helpful, and affordable. Definitely recommended. I have only good thigns to say about this office. The entire staff, Dr. Cutler, Jan, Kelli and Kathy all genuinely care about their patients. Each of them do an excelletn job at making the patient feel comfortable and confident about the work they are about to have done. After reading the horribly negative review that was posted prior, I feel that this woman took Dr' Cutler's "lecture" extremely wrong. My entire family has gone here and they all have had the same New patient exam done. When you book a new patient exam you will first meet Jan, the RDA for the office. She will greet with a smile and loves to learn more about her patients. She will take a full set of x-rays and then she will introduce you to Dr. Cutler. Being the excellent dentist that he is, he will perform an extensive exam to make sure he covers every aspect of your oral health taking you on a "tour" using an intra-oral camera of each of your teeth so you can see first hand what your working with. He takes the time to chart and examine your entire mouth and not just your teeth to check for oral cancer or any other sores or infections. After your New Patient exam is complete, Kathy, the front office manager, will assist you in making your next appointment. At your second visit, Dr. Cutler will sit down with you individually and really take the time to go over what he found in your exam. I feel that Dr. Cutler really wants to take the time to sit down with each patient so they can be educated and feel free to ask any and all questions about your oral health. After reviewing what he has found, good or bad, he will then present to you a "treatment plan". This treatment plan consists of multiple treatment plans, usually ranging in costs and cosmetics. I was always told that "these are all your options and you can choose to do all, some or none of what we are showing you. We just want you to know all your dental options." One other thing I think is awesome for patients during this treatment plan proposal is that during your new patient exam, Dr. Cutler will take a set of digital photos of your teeth so while you are sitting with him going over the treatment plan, he can visually point out on his computer what the tooth looks like and why something should be done to fix it rather than just having to "take his word for it" like so many of us have had to do with prior dentists. By doing all of this, I think Dr. Cutler works hard to establish trust and patient relationships. He is a dentist for life and not if your just wanting to bounce around from dentist to dentist. After you have gone over the treatment plans, usually Kathy will have treid to line you up to go straight in to meet Kelli, The Hygienist, for your first cleaning. Kelli has a very solid patient base so make sure to book those evening appointments in advance if you need them! (Since they are open later in the evenings on Monday and Tuesday. I always appreciate this since I can't always get time off work to go to the dentisit.) If Kelli was unavailable for a cleaning at the time you came in for your treatment plans, you will get down to business on your next appointment where you will definitely have a cleaning done and then move straight into an treatment options you have chosen. Overall, Dr. Cutler is an awesome dentist and would recommend (and have recommended him) to anybody! Dr Cutler and his entire staff is AMAZING! I origionally searched for a Dental office that had great ratings, and it just so happened that this location was also nearby! During my husbands first visit, we were a little hesitant because it seemed so small. We brought our 1 year old son with us, and to our suprise they had building blocks for him to play with. After my husband was done, Dr Cutler came out and greeted my son and I. They are very family friendly, and after the first visit you feel very comfortable.
