Dr. Barry Russell Lee

Very condescending. Needs to learn how to talk to people. Very rude individual. Would not wish him as a doctor for my worst enemy.

I cannot believe they keep Dr. lee at this place. He is the most rude, unprofessional Dr. that I’ve ever seen in my life! I will never even TALK to that punk again, and of course never let him treat me. Carolina urology needs to get rid of him. He makes them look bad! I’ve never had a problem out of any other Dr. there. I hate that Dr. Cohen left,… but I totally understand. He was the best Dr. ever. Bottom line,… stay away from Dr. Barry lee!

This review is not a reflection of his physician skills. I'll reserve judgement on that. His bedside manner leaves a lot to be desired. He seemed defensive when he learned that an upcoming surgery would be done at Duke medical center and not at caromont. He asked if patient didn't have confidence in caromont Drs or hospital. Horrible. Had to see him twice. First visit, he was 30 minutes late getting to my room. Then he stayed 2 minutes. No exam. Then when I had to return for a procedure, he and his assistant giggled and joked while he did the procedure. He did not clearly explain the results or what I needed to do next. Will be seeking a second opinion. Very unprofessional as someone who one, has that many years of experience, and two, who is in the medical profession. Horrible. Not to mention, the office smells like old saturated urine. Glad we had to wear masks.

Terrible bedside manner, more concerned about money then helping, obnoxious and arrogance definitely won't be going back.

The doctors medical assistants, specifically Diamond Scell, need to learn that people aren't here to be berated. This woman is rude and treats people like dirt. Avoid this practice so long as this rude trash works here!

Extraordinary and courteous. Known for over 30 years through kidney stones, testicular surgery. Expert, efficient, helpful. More than Dr. Lee, he is “Barry” to me.

As much of friend as a doctor. This gentleman has guided me through kidney stones and sensitive testicular surgery. He’s optimistic and engenders hope for guided, deliberate healing. #Friendly #Trustworthy

Bad. Unprofessional. Wierd all around. The checkin ladies were very nice but the nurses were rude and highly unprofessional. This place is a joke.

RUDE! Unprofessional and down right abusive! Very unhappy with the treatment, and when we asked to not have to see this doctor of have him be a part of the treatment plan any further......WE WERE REFERRED RIGHT BACK TO HIM! Unfortunately this practice of DR. GROUPS is not always a good thing. Seeking another unbiased opinion is damn near impossible because these RUDE GROUPS are taking over, and forcing good independent doctors out of business! BTW I would of given 0 stars but it forces you to give at least one, in fact if I could I would be negative stars! I was treated very well Dr Lee explain my surgery and answer all my questions staff was very nice and kind

I have been going to Dr. Lee for over a decade. I am 59 years old, and he is my favorite Dr. I have ever had. He is very friendly, laid back, and funny. If you want a stiff, cold, clinical physician, you should look elsewhere.

First appointment I took my Dad to he had to see the nurse practitioner. She dismissed what I was telling her. Luckily we are scheduled to see a Dr in 3 weeks. Another thing that bothered me was the exam table covered in urine from a previous patient. My Dad stayed in his wheel chair, but who wants to be in an unsanitary room with an exam table covered in someone's urine? I really couldn't believe the nurse and practitioner came and went and nobody ever cleaned it. They HAD to see it. It was hard to miss! Will no longer use this doctor seeing as an infection in on small specific spot and blood build up turned my testicle into a giant zip that popped at the surgical seam from months ago. Caused a lot of unnecessary pain.

Dr Lee did surgery on me! While in recovery I heard nurse say he didn’t get it done! He had nicked my bladder! When I got to my room, my husband said he told him I had a hole in my bladder and he couldn’t do the surgery! When I went back a week later! I had to ask for someone to tell me the truth! I never saw Dr Lee again! Things happen !! Be truthful!! Because of scar tissue it was more difficult!! Tiny tools they used nicked the bladder! I don’t like being lied to! Own it!!

Dr Lee was professional and courteous throughout the entire visit. He is very good at discussing the procedure, side effects, and treatment in terms easily understood by a person not employed in the medical field. I also appreciate how he works to put his patient at ease regarding their nervousness over the visit and procedure.

I took my mother in to see "Dr" Lee yesterday. This man was the rudest, unconcerned, unprofessional man that I have ever met. I wouldn't call him a doctor by any means. He came in the room, jumped up on the exam table himself ( like a fifth grader) with a silly grin on his face. He never greeted us or examined my mother once. He never touched her! I I began to tell him of the pain she was in and the symptoms she was having. He then says, fight in front of my poor mother, " She's 86 years old". I advised him that I was quite aware the age of my mother and could he help her. He then said nonchantly, that he'd give her an antibiotic ( without examining her) and if she needed surgery that "they" wouldn't operate on an 86 year old woman. I was livid! This was totally unprofessional and very rude and mean to say these kind of things right in front of my mother. She just held her head down. He hurt her feelings and she did not deserve to be treated that way. He did zero to help her or to find out what was wrong with her. Totally uninterested and wrote her off as dead. I have never witnessed a more unprofessional excuse for a human being must less one that calls himself "dr"! I'm planning on turning him into the medical board. What a quack and sorry person! I have had wonderful experiences as a patient with Dr. Barry Lee. He is truly human and kindly and very expert.

This man is the most unprofessional, rude excuse for a human being must less one that calls himself a dr. I took my mother in to see him. She was in tremendous pain. He jumped in the exam table himself with a silly teenager grin and never once touched/examined my mother. I began to tell him her symptoms and he the replied, nonchalantly that "she is 86 years old". He said this right in front of her! Not only was she in tremendous pain but now her feelings were Hurt. I'm contacting the med board.
