I seen Brian Shannon only twice" one week ago and again today on 10/18/21. only to be so disrespected and walk out his office full of tears. After waiting over a HR and two seconds of him sitting down to be called a lier and he don't believe anything I say. He claims I had a exray of my back 8 days ago at Sharon hospital the more I asked where do you see that he told me he's not going to play games with me" I told him I'm not playing games and to let me see where it shows I had a exray 8 days ago because I did not. And I began to tell him the last hospital I was in was months ago and it was saint Elizabeth hospital in Ohio. He again called me a lier. I then told him he was being very disrespectful and not professional at all. Again calling me a lier . Then told me the reason I'm passing my bowels has nothing to do with my back. I then explained I have multiple infections inside my stomach. People I can not stress enough how degrading this man made me feel. I got up and went to walk out and said to him what doctor just calls a patient a liar. And tells them if your looking for pain medicine the only thing you'll get is some Tylenol with codeine or some tramadol. Even know I never asked for any pain med. I was refused to have a new x-ray done. only too look at my back. I went to my car and called my husband and was crying and told him what happened. I went back inside the doctor's office and asked can I please have the paperwork that he claims I just had a x-ray eight days ago. They gave me a copy and it clearly said my last one was on 8/10/21. All I know is this is not over I called the better Business bureau and my medical insurance. I'll definitely be getting in touch with a attorney. How do you take a oath to help people and instead you're disrespecting them not helping them in any type of way. The nurse came outside and apologized to me and said she would talk to the doctor because it wasn't 8 days ago and it was at saint Elizabeth hospital. they are connected with Sharon regional. Called the office and spoke to Stephanie, most rude and uncaring person I have ever spoken too. Could care less if your in pain or not and referred me to my primary doctor. Surgery was done by the doctor i called not my primary. Get a job where you don't have to deal with people as you are terrible at it.

Can't get him to sign paperwork for the brace that he wrote a prescription for from the brace company insurance company will not pay for it until he signs it very slow have to get my attorney involved now it is like he doesn't care now since he got paid for surgery now it is so what.

Dr Shannon is the best in the biz! Had back surgery on New Years Eve 2020. Tremendous experience and SouthWoods surgical hospital is top notch.

Dr. Shannon has replaced both of my knees and has been a tremendous Doctor throughout my experience. He's been thorough throughout both surgeries. I couldn't ask for a better experience from the doctor and his staff.

Dr Shannon has done a neck fusion and back fusions in 2 different places in my back. The last surgery was performed at Southwoods and if you decide to allow Dr Shannon to operate on you see if he can do it there. His bedside manner is great although if the nurses fail to carry out his orders he does get a tad irate with them. I would go to Dr Shannon again in a heart beat if I needed ortho surgery.When he did the one fusion he stated he could give me back 75% use of my legs and at least 50% of my back. After the surgery and the healing time I had closer to 90% use of my legs and 75% of my back. Need ortho work done? Go to Dr Shannon. P.S. I was not paid in any way to state the above. Very knowledgeable; I would strongly recommend him to anyone

I consulted Doctor Shannon on both of my rotator cuff surgeries. His training and credentials are impeccable, and his patients recommend him highly. I can see why. He took the time to review my MRIs and explain them to me and all of my treatment options. He is very knowledgeable and professional, and I have recommended a number of my friends to him for orthopedic consultations. If I am in need of orthopedic services in the future, Dr. Shannon is the only doctor that I would trust.

Did great with surgery but wouldn't listen to my complaint of how my knee popped during physical therapy due to the staff doing the wrong exercises. Now I'm waiting on a new MRI to see if the graph tore.

I have heard that people who have back surgery never really recover. He thoroughly explained to me what procedure I needed and how he would perform the surgery. His expertise and professionalism is exceptional. I did water therapy at the rehab center as he told me to do. I am now running 3 miles and still doing exercises in a warm pool to stretch my muscles. I am 60 years old. I sincerely want to thank Dr. Shannon and all his staff for the great care that I have received. I have heard that people who have back surgery never really recover. This is the best doctor I have ever encountered in my life. He takes his time explaining all your options and appears to genuinely care about his patients. I refered a co-worker to him and she had the same feeling about him.
