Front desk am here boss extremely rude told me I’m not allowed back because I had asked why they wouldn’t inform my wife on my labs both are rude I’m surprised because I like dr akuna but I will not be threatened or yelled at when I’m trying to explain to the Secretary boss that she is rude an got hung up on an threaten

When you call them and then they don't return your calls

Switched to Dr. Akuna earlier this year and have been very pleased. In this day and age, it is very rare to have a Dr sit down with you for 25 min going through all the yearly bloodwork and any other things that may be a concern. Good experiences so far.

I am very pleased with my experience with Dr. Akuna. He listens to me and explains things well. I highly recommend him

5 stars for Dr. Akuna but his staff are a zero. The staff are the absolute the worst staff I've ever worked with. They do not return calls, are not friendly and act like you are bothering them if you have any questions. I've had a request for C-Pap equipment prescription in since May 11 and they have not sent it back or called to tell me what I need to do to get it written if anything.

The dr is “nice” and my mother likes him but I have to set here and watch her cry herself every to sleep EVERY SINGLE NIGHT because both of her knees are bone on bone and is in constant debilitating pain because this “nice” Doctor absolutly REFUSES to prescribe her any type of pain medication and says that she needs to go to a pain management doctor. That wouldn’t be a big deal but my mother is very low income and on Medicaid and the are Absolutley no pain management doctors that will accept her Medicaid so she’s stuck inbetween a dr that won’t help her and a bunch of drs that won’t accept her Medicaid. Im seriously thinking about reporting him to the state. WORST. DOCTOR. EVER...!!!!! Dr. Akuna is a JOKE. He "coded" my 1st appointment so insurance charged me $400+ for an office visit. Incompetent office staff did not note of called in cancelations and made NO reminder calls for more than half of scheduled appointments. Hospital made follow-up appointment for me after joint replacement. NO REMINDER CALL was made by his office. I called that day to cancel because of severe pain and inability to drive myself. Two days later, I got a certified letter in the mail detailing my "release" due to no-shows. When I asked to talk with him, I was told he "refused" to speak to me. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR. I was very disappointed in Michelle and the rest of the staff at Dr. Akuna's office. After my wife and I have gone to his office for over 4 years, we called to schedule a follow-up to an unexpected Emergency Room visit and were told that even though they "like" to get an ER follow-up done within a couple of days, they would not be able to squeeze us in anywhere for 2 weeks! This means that my wife is not allowed to drive in the state of Missouri until she is able to see a doctor and get cleared. She was SO incredibly rude on the phone that we both decided to change to a different doctor! She showed zero signs of caring for her as a patient or even as a person. Her situation did not matter to her. You would think after that going there that long they might at least offer to call in the event of a cancellation! Just rude attitude and a "tough luck" attitude towards us. Even though Dr. Akuna is a nice person, I will never return to his practice. This type of treatment should not be tolerated!
