I had knee reconstruction surgery 15 years ago through Dr. Lawrence. I was a senior in high school, I believed he did a good job. Unfortunately 14 years later I found out my acl was completely torn again as was my minscus and I needed surgery again to repair it. So in November of 2020 i had knee reconstruction again. This time around it did not go smoothly. Knee felt terrible through therapy but he kept telling me it was nothing and to keep pushing through. I told him my acl seems like it's getting snagged on something, plus my minscus was really bothering me. He told me it wasn't my minscus and that it was arthritis and that I had to push through that pain. 7 months into therapy I told him enough is enogh i needed another mri and come to find out that my minscus was torn and that he wasn't sure how the acl was doing so he wanted to go back in and fix it. So i scheduled the appointment just to have him drop me the day before surgery. This guy...... so now a year and 4 months later i can't run, i can't play golf, and i can't find a Dr. to do my surgery because he is telling other Dr. I complained. He owes me more then just a workable knee. The stress and depression I've had to deal with because of this man. I call it like it is... robbery! Dr. Lawrence has done a knee and hip replacement for me. He is an excellent surgeon and I have enormous respect for him.

Dr. Lawrence was clear and informative in the pre-surgery conferences. The surgery itself was excellent, with no ill effects. The post-surgery follow-up, while delayed due to Covid-19, was also excellent.

We were referred to Dr. Lawrence by our PCP Dr. Hanson. Dr. Lawrence has done both of my knee replacements and my wife's orthoscopic knee procedures. Dr. Lawrence has made our "Golden Years" a lot less painful and truly appreciate Dr. Lawrence dedication to his patients.

Dr. Lawrence was fantastic. After injuring my shoulder twice, both requiring surgery, Dr. Lawrence had me back to normal, full range of motion, full strength, in minimal time. Highly recommend!

Dr. Lawrence was in a lot of pain but he was still seeing patients. He diagnosed my pain. He recommended getting a shot to relieve the bursitis in my hip. I agreed to get the shot and I am pain free again. He also was able to tell me what was causing the popping noise in my hip area. I recommend Dr. Lawrence any time anyone has a hip problem. It has been 5 years since Dr. Lawrence replaced my hip. I couldn't be happier with the results. I had pain in that hip for 25 years and pain free now. I have had other procedures done by Dr. Lawrence. He is proficient and kind. Would recommend him. Will also return for anything I may need in the future.

He did both my hips in 2007 n both rotator cuffs then soon doin both knees. Only one i want operating on me

do not go to him me and my neighbors all went to him because we were told he was good . he butchered all three of our knees. he wont admit it or even sound remotely helpful . i was 28 when i got the surgery and he made my knees feel like 50 . i was able to sprint faster before the surgery now it hurts when i jog . i lift all the weights in the world and i did several types of therapy but there is nothing that can take back the damage he has done . do not go to him me and my neighbors all went to him because we were told he was good . he butchered all three of our knees. he wont admit it or even sound remotely helpful . i was 28 when i got the surgery and he made my knees feel like 50 … More

Very little wait time. All staff We’re friendly. Dr. Lawrence answered my questions well. He did an amazing job on my broken elbow.

I have had two hips and a knee done by Dr. Lawrence. He is a very good doctor. I have had no problems with the joints he replaced on me. It is an hour or better wait in office, worth the wait to have a good doctor.

Has done knee repair surgery on my wife for broken knee cap on two different occasions and results have been great....he is the best!

My mom had both her knees done about 15 yrs ago, she still is going strong at 84 , no problems, walks , cuts her own grass, all yard clean up, and shovels her own drive and walk, she is going from morning to night! Thank you!

Professional and courteous, laid-back and knowledgeable. Treats you like an old friend. He does a great job identifying issues with shoulder pain and resolving it with non surgical procedures. ( for my shoulder issue anyway) I had already had two rotator cuff repairs on each shoulder and didn't want/ need a third.

Dr. Lawrence is by far one of the best surgeons that I have ever had the pleasure to deal with. He has worked on me several times over the last 20+ years due to the arthuritis in my knees. And, recently operated on my shoulder. He also is the ONLY doctor that was able to figure out that I was in desperate need of lumbar surgery! Yes, that’s right!, Dr. Lawrence, a Ortho doctor, was able to figure out what the Neuro doctor could not!! I love the fact that he is straight to the point and doesn’t sugar coat anything. I have had 2 hip replacements by Dr. Lawrence. Yes, sometimes you have to wait at their office. Why? Because, they take time to talk to you and they are the best in the county. If you don't have to wait at a doctors office, it is because they dont have very many patients. People will wait for good doctors. The whole office is fantastic.

I had an Anterior Hip replacement done in 2013 by Dr. Lawrance. He thinks he is better than he is and from experience and first hand knowledge I know that he does not finish his surgeries. To date my hip is not right. I can not lift my leg and can’t walk more than 3-4 blocks without severe pain. Recommend him? Absolutely not. His staff is as condescending as he is.

Dr Lawrence almost killed my wife! He cut a artery she lost So much blood they had to bring in the crash team in to save her. He lied to me said every thing fine. Had to be put in ICU! I wouldn't let him touch my dog! Beware of him he won't even look you in the eyes.

He ended up making my moms knee 100 times worse do not go back to him, my mother ended up going to henry ford and they couldn't identify the parts that he replaced her knee with. I DO NOT RECOMMEND HIM. if you want to risk your own life with this doctor then that's your choice. hes one of the worst doctors that I know. do not trust him with anything. knowing that my mother was in tremendous amount of pain really upset me and her husband. do not go to him what so ever. Dr Lawrence is so kind and compassionate! He’s an extremely knowledgeable and talented surgeon. I suffer from a rare genetic condition and he’s done a lot of surgeries on me. My specialists from around the world are always shocked at the level of expertise he does surgery, their also hugely shocked that he’s in Grand Blanc. They’ve commented that a Dr of that caliber should be at a large hospital or somewhere like John Hopkins. So blessed to have such a talented surgeon in our area, HE IS THE BEST! Dr. Lawrence is a great orthopedic surgeon and answered all my questions.

He is consistently over an hour late for his appointments. He makes terrible eye contact and barely spends time talking to you. I do not recommend at all!

I had anterior hip replacement surgery with Dr. Lawrence on November 1st, 2016 and it was an extremely successful experience for me. My pain level went from a 9 out of 10 to 0 out of 10 right after surgery. My experience with Dr. Lawrence is that he is a very experienced, confident and competent orthopedic surgeon. He was also one of the first, if not the first, to gain expertise in the anterior approach in Genesee County. He is worth the wait.

Very unfriendly. Doesn't make eye contact. Dismissive. Waited 90 minutes to see him and he acted like it was a bother to see the patient. Would not recommend him.

I would NOT recommend Dr. Lawrence. I had three appointments with Dr. Lawrence. The initial appt. had me waiting 1 1/2 hrs beyond my scheduled appointment before seeing the dr. The follow up appt was another 1 1/2 hrs beyond my appt at which time and had I to leave and reschedule. Appt was rescheduled so I was the first patient to be seen after lunch. I waited 1 hr past my scheduled appt again and I left. I asked to have Dr. Lawrence call me and I never did. That's just blatantly rude.

Dr. Lawrence rebuilt my shoulder 8 years ago- torn rotator cuff, torn bicep tendon, and impingement. Recovery was painful, but now, 8 years later, it is still strong and pain free. I have recommended him for shoulders. He doen't have the "bed side manors", but who cares- his surgery is excellent.
