About Dr. Bryan Lee Reuss
Reviews for Dr. Bryan Lee Reuss
Dr. Reuss is hands down the best hip surgeon. I would recommend him to anyone with hip issues without a doubt. I had minimal pain after surgery and was back to working and active lifestyle in no time. He is truly amazing and I couldn’t be more thankful/happier with the results.
the best doctor around for fixing my labrum tear
Came to Dr Reuss after 4 years of going to doctor to doctor for hip pain. He ordered me an MRI, found nothing wrong but opted for a scope surgery to check it out. His surgery coordinator named Heather told me one date for surgery for one day and then the next day told me I was making it up. Then they tried to push back surgery even more which meant being in pain limbo more. I started crying on the phone and that’s where Heather started telling me what I should and shouldn’t be crying about. And as someone in pain for 4 years- I don’t need some 20-something year old with no real life experience telling me how I should be handling my physical pain. It also probably wasn’t good that I was in the middle of getting through a hormonal disorder. So I snapped at her and screamed and cursed and they let basically kicked me out of the practice. But that’s not the point of this story and if you’re someone who’s in chronic pain please keep reading. They referred me to their competition— Rothman Orthopaedic thinking they were dodging a bullet getting rid of me and passing me to them. Silly rabbits. Their competition is where I was educated on how not all MRI machines are created equal. They were disgusted by the quality of the MRI image that Dr Reuss had ordered. They couldn’t understand how a doctor would write such a low quality MRI script. Rothman sent me to get a TESLA MRI and low and behold there was the tiny little tear causing me agony in my hip past 4 years. Why is Dr Reuss not giving his patients scripts for quality imaging— especially those who have been in pain for so long. I’m really not so sure. Despite my confrontational experience with Heather the surgery coordinator- Dr. Reuss will not ensure you get the best MRI report. It has been 18 months since my surgery with Rothman orthopedic and I am pain free after 4 years of chronic pain going doctor to doctor. Do not waste your time with Dr. Reuss— you deserve the best quality service and state of the art equipment and you won’t get it here.
My full knee replacent could not have gone better!
Wow!!!! Orlando Orthopaedic in Oviedo by far provides THE BEST patient experience. From the friendly ladies who check you in to the PA's, I felt respected and cared for. And, they are SO efficient, I always get through appointments faster than expected. I have to give a big SHOUT OUT to Melissa Worsfold, a PA there. She is down to earth, listens patiently, and gives confident great advice! I can't say enough about Melissa and her team- they are truly incredible! Thank you Melissa...you are the best of the best!
Dr Reuss is the absolute best! He did my shoulder surgery as a high schooler with no reoccurring issues since. Now, I may need to do my hip and I know I’ll be in good hands! Makes you feel comfortable, actually cares, and explains everything to you.
I (35M) received treatment from Dr. Reuss and his OOC staff for a torn labrum/impingement in my hip, likely caused by exercise related overuse. During the diagnosis appointment, Dr. Reuss went over his findings from my MRI, laid out my options, provided his recommendation, and answered all my questions. It was very apparent that he could repair me with an arthroscopic procedure. I’m at 9 weeks post op, and while still in recovery/PT phase, very encouraged with the results. It’s apparent that he and his staff fixed my issue, and I am well on my way to full recovery/hip function. Very thankful that I was referred to this provider. Dr. Reuss/OOC will be my first call with any orthopedic issues in the future.
In 2021 and 2022 Dr. Reuss replaced one knee each year. Dr. Reuss and his highly skilled staff have taken awesome care of me. I can now walk without pain. If you’re going to another Doctor, you are missing out on the BEST.
I had an injection in my hip due to severe osteoarthritis . He was very helpful in explaining the procedure and the recommended physician in the event of hip replacement surgery.
The best, Doctor, nurses and support staff. Dr. Reuss takes the time to listen to you and cares about your orthopedic problems. Discusses treatment options, makes sure you understand all aspects of your treatment. Dr. Reuss is able to put you at ease with his confidence and professional manner. Highly recommend Dr. Reuss and Orlando Orthopedic.
For 5 years my running (7:30/mile) got sidetracked with a very incapacitating labral tear. Went in for an arthroscopy with Dr. Reuss and right off of anesthesia the pain was completely gone. Later came to know I had other 2 issues that he fixed during the procedure. I recovered the joy of running and now looking forward to this new stage; stronger, better, faster.
I recently had surgery which Dr. Reuss performed. His explanation of my situation and the recommend surgery instilled confidence before the surgery. It has been almost 11 weeks and my progression is amazing. I would recommend Dr. Reuss to anyone requiring surgery that falls under his specialties.
I was referred to Dr. Reuss to have torn hip labrum repair. The surgery went great. He suggested the right meds and activity plan to keep the pain as minimal as possible. My post op appointments are going good. I have to get a cortisone injection and he did it with little to no pain. He is great and I highly recommend Dr. Reuss!
He seems like a good doctor. Since it was a single visit, I’m not sure I have enough information to go on. He was pleasant enough and gave me some pain relief options, but he did seem to be in a bit of a hurry to finish up with me. He started to leave, at which point I let him know I had more questions. I do prefer a doctor who doesn’t seem to be in a rush, but he did answer my questions adequately once I stopped him. I will probably go back if I feel I need further treatment. No serious complaints, and the staff members were all very nice.
Very satisfied
Dr. Reuss took care of me when I tore my meniscus in 2016 and kept me going until I decided to have a knee replacement in February 2022. Dr Ruess and his team have been helpful, explained everything to me, answered all of my questions and were always willing to listen to my concerns. The surgery went great and Dr Ruess’ team had nurses, equipment and home therapy all ready to go once I got home. I highly recommend Dr Ruess and his wonderful team.
Dr Reuss is the only Orthopedic Dr I would consider going to in Orlando. He tells it how it is, and delivers. I trust him with helping me make the best decisions for my injuries.
Very friendly office staff…well run.
Dr. Ruess not only has extraordinary surgical skills, but shows a commitment to his patients that is unparalleled. He deserves my praise and thanks for getting me thru one of my toughest moments in life, double knee replacements. Thank you for guiding me to goals that I could never have achieved. My life is forever change. Thank you again Dr Ruess and OOC team for your commitment.
Very kind and knowledgeable about my health issues. Staff was very friendly and would recommend my family snd friends
This was a post OP visit, as usual he was very caring and informative. He has done my two knees and now my shoulder all were great outcomes
Apparently Dr. Ruess is the go to Guy for labral tears
I've had two surgeries with Dr. Reuss. Five years ago my hip was injured. He did a great job on the hip (labrum tear) and my entire hip performed better than before my injury. He recently fixed a torn meniscus and also did a fantastic job. I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Reuss and would trust him completely.
Beneficial and productive
My experience has been great all through the process,
I got a surgery for labral acetabular tear on my left hip June of 2020 so by the date of this review it has been over 1 year. Bottom line - my hip still hurts just like it did prior to the surgery. I injured my hip approximately 5-6 ago when I fell from a stretching machine accidentally and the pain worsened each year til 2020 when it became unbearable whenever I walked a lot or ran. I went into his office in April for initial consultation for the surgery, which he sounded like he did this type of surgery numerous times and looked very confident (confident to the point he disregarded my questions/worries... telling me not to worry about it as it is a simple procedure). The surgery itself went okay, I didn't feel any pain on my hip the first few months even after rehab. However, when I started walking a lot or running again, the pain came back. It was about 4 months after the surgery, 2 weeks after I got released from rehab into regular workout routine, so I shouldn't have felt pain whatsoever. I reached back early this year to see what they/I can do to improve the situation, and his office staff told me to go to physical therapy again as they sounded very unconcerned about my situation. In fact, since day 1 of planning for this surgery, Dr. Reuss and his staffs were very uninterested in listening to my worries and concerns and I literally talked to Dr. Reuss for maybe 30 minutes total prior to the surgery day (yes, I waited for literally 45 minutes every single visit for him to walk into the room with the most unconcerned face ever!). I only chose to get the surgery from him because he was the earliest surgeon available at the time and he was the most experienced in the surgery area but I really wish I didn't. Now I have completely wasted thousands of dollars to be back to point 1 with the same exact pain prior to the surgery. What was all that even for if he can't even fix oh-so-confident problem he deal with so often? Doesn't even care to listen to his past patients who have problems with his surgery I got a surgery for labral acetabular tear on my left hip June of 2020 so by the date of this review it has been over 1 year. Bottom line - my hip still hurts just like it did prior to the surgery. … More

He was thorough, friendly, professional during my visit. Very pleased with his treatment plan and the outcome.
Dr. Reuss was very professional, confident, and empathetic. His explanations were very clear and understandable. He prescribed further testing which he is confident will be necessary to help identify the pain I have. I was extremely satisfied with my whole appointment. I highly recommend Dr. Reuss!
Excellent, very rushed.
Dr. Reuss has been awesome. I trust him completely which is something I've never said about a FL doctor. He replaced my knee when I was only 46, 12 years later & not one problem. He will be replacing my other knee soon & I complete confidence that I'll be walking with my grandson & dogs again soon.
The entire Team was remarkable. Polite, attentive, compassionate, and knowledgeable.
Trusted and very happy with plan
Very knowledgeable and listened to all of my questions. Was an excellent surgeon, and I believe his careful and steady hands has allowed me to remain ahead on my rehabilitation! His team is the absolute best as well, and are always there when needed!
Received clear information and specific details on plan forward. Provided answers to all questions. Highly recommend Dr Reuss.
Excellent
Very organized. High level of teamwork. Doctor has impressive background and very good interpersonal skills.
From the start of deciding to have a knee replacement to preparation, then to surgery, Dr Ruess and his team have been helpful, explained everything to us, answered all our questions and were always willing to listen to our concerns. The surgery went great and Dr Ruess’ team had nurses, equipment and home therapy all ready to go once we arrived home. I highly recommend Dr Ruess and his wonderful team.
Left knee meniscus needs repair. Dr Reuss set July 6 but on July 2 the surgery was resked for July 27. Really hard to take.
Thorough and knowledgeable. Very professional.
Dr. Reuss is clear about his diagnosis, concise in what needs to be done, and reassuring about the pros and cons of the decisions available to you. I have had multiple friends use Dr. Reuss and their recommendations are well received. I would recommend Dr. Reuss to anyone looking for a trusted orthopedic doctor.
I was diagnosed with a torn labrum at UF. After all the work-up, I was told my options were that I had no options. They go in, cut out the torn piece, and in a few years down the road (who knows how many), I will get a hip replacement. Even though I lived in Orlando, I was told UF was the best place for this surgery because they teach all the new techniques and have the newest equipment. Everything I was reading was telling me this surgical treatment was the only route, that torn labrums are un-repairable. I decided to search around for the best surgeons, and Dr. Reuss' name kept showing up, so I scheduled an appointment. He told me that he could do the surgery, and he wouldn't know for sure until he got in there, but there was a chance at least he could repair it. Surgery went well, and when I woke up I was shocked to hear that he was able to repair my labrum. So, this is all well and good...but how will this last over the years? I am happy to say this surgery occurred 4 years ago. My hip pain hasn't returned. I have been able to return to my normal workout routine at the gym, I have gone on 40-mile backpacking trips, and mountaineering in Alaska. Thank you Dr. Reuss!! I am so thankful to say that after surgeries on both hips to repair a torn labrum and bone impingements, I am now pain free and back to playing sports at a high intensity and it has only been 4 months since the last surgery! Dr. Reuss and his staff are incredible and so is there physical therapy team!
Was very pleasant and patient focused. Offer and performed a non-surgical alternative and recommended a follow up treatment should it be necessary after a 6 month recovery period.
Dr. Reuse is an excellent surgeon. I have had 2,surgeries performed by him. However, his administrative staff needs some patient awareness training. I will not attend any more visits at the Oviedo office as a result of their poor attitude.
Dr. Reuss did my first knee replacement about 3 years ago and I was extremely satisfied with him and his team. This was my second knee replacement and again the experience was fantastic.
Dr. Reuss is simply the best! He is an utmost professional. He listens intently to what I convey. He explains his diagnosis clearly and in detail. He makes me feel like I’m a VIP patient! I trusted him with my son and then years later myself. I would give him the highest health grade possible. Like I said, Dr. Reuss is simply the best!!!

Wonderful doctor and team. Everyone was extremely helpful and caring.
Pleasant, listens and is helpful
great
Dr. Ruess and his team are amazing. Everything from my initial visit to post-op was hassle free. I felt comfortable with his knowledge, confidence and expertise. Im glad I found him.
Dr Reuss listens and answers questions. He explains procedures and doesn’t make us feel rushed.
I used outpatient surgery and the nurses and staff were excellent in my care and explanations. They listened and were efficient. Dr. Reuss was very clear in telling me what would be going on. I believe I was well taken care of and Dr, Reuss did an excellent job. I expect a great recovery.
All Staff was Professional, Expediant and very Kind~ Doctor IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, GREAT COMMUNICATOR, CARING AND INTELLIGENT
This doctor is motivated by the healthcare insurance companies, workers comp.,etc. He is not for the patients. Did a simple knee surgery procedure on me. Did a lousy job. Had to get a second knee surgery. I wouldn't let my worst enemy ever go to this doctor. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!
Excellent
I did not like the fact that the doctor would not take the time to talk with me and explain my situation. He entered the room and spent 2 minutes with me He just determined that I had an issue, then operated it. Still suffer a lot of pain. Went back for follow up and was told that i needed another operation called an IT Band Release. No explanation was provided to me, no in-depth understanding of my situation was acknowledged or discussed. I decided to go to the Mayo Clinic and showed that I had scoliosis and hip pain. That doctor spent 30 minutes with me explaining the situation I was in, explicitly told me not to have the IT Band Release as it would make my situation much worse as he actually checked more than just my hip. He checked my ligament strength/flexibility and took into account that I had severe scoliosis. He determined that my hip hurt because it was completely askew due to the curvature in my back and the pain in my hip could not be repaired through an operation.
Thoroughly reviewed my records and the entire staff was awesome.
Dr. Reuss is the best. This is the second knee he has treated. Dr. Reuss and his staff are excellent. Great communication skills all around.
Good Doctor and very much to the point. He gave me hope.
Dr Reuss listened to all my problems and told me what he could do to fix them. Had shoulder surgery which went well followed by knee injections which seem to be working. Will continue to see Dr Reuss for any future problems

Dr Reuss repaired my ACL and medial meniscus. I've had an outstanding experience. I highly recommend him and the folks at Orlando Orthopedic!
Dr. Reuss performed my Left Knee ACL Reconstruction and Medial Meniscectomy (using my patellar tendon), on 5/18/17. I am told I'll be able to return to playing the sports I love (by 2018). My knee has it's range of motion back. All my needs were promptly addressed by Dr. Reuss, Alicia (his PA-C), Dalmaris (Patient Care Coordinator) and Heather (Patient Care Assistant). I’m working with Dr. Reuss to treat my left knee, which has damaged cartilage.
