I called this office for a new patient appointment and the office staff who answered the phone was incredibly rude while asking me questions about my son.

Dr. Palacio has taken care off my kids since 2009, and now my niece and grand kid. I love how he interacts with the kids, and give full explanations and details of what ever is going on with the kids. We need more Dr's like him, that actually care for their patients.

I love going to Dr.Palacio for my babies, however his staff is rude and can’t keep medical records straight. I will be finding somewhere else to go.

Dr. Palacio was our child's doctor from 2006 through 2018. He along with his daughter who was his PA at the time gave our child excellent care. His degree of care has absolutely nothing to do with Aschenion's policies on insurance. He was always kind, patient and thorough.

Our family absolutely loves Dr Palacio, a friend of mine highly recommended him, both of my daughters have been his patients for a while now, both of my daughters looked forward to seeing Dr Palacio, and my oldest enjoyed speaking Spanish with him, I am originally from Colombia a so I always enjoyed chatting with Dr about our roots, he is a great pediatrician, professional, kind and perfect personality with kids, most importantly he is knowledgeable and we never had any bad experiences, in fact we transferred from a doctor who completely missed diagnosed my daughter on a broken elbow and Dr Palacio immediately took care of us and he has referred my oldest one to great specialists a couple of times for major injuries! My only disappointment is that my daughters didn’t really see him for a year or so, and by the next time I needed to take them in, I was told that at this point they were practically new patients, since they hadn’t been in for a while, and at this point Dr Palacio isn’t taking new patients, which my daughters were bummed out and so am I, we still haven’t found a new Dr and I had to take my oldest one to the same incompetent Dr who missed diagnosed her in the past, due to availability, records and such… our family hopes that he can start taking new patients in the future, but we think the world of Dr Palacio, hard to find Drs nowadays that are passionate about their careers! Dr. Palacio is and has been for years very good with my girl. He cares for her like she is his own. I could not ask for a better doctor. He listens and he explains everything in detail. He has never given us a bums rush out of his office and he doesn’t make us wait to be seen. 5 Stars Plus in my opinion.

Rude front desk service wouldn’t help at all clinic is here to help people not neglect them show some respect and hospitality and learn how to communicate with people, just cause you hate your job don’t treat others with rudeness need to find solution to help instead of being rude

We are new to Kansas and we liked Dr. Palacio...however, referral process was not explained at appointment. We called office to follow-up and a member of the nursing staff was super unfriendly on the phone about the referral process. She yelled, talked over my wife, said "good grief" when my wife had a questions, and then when my wife tried to clarify referral procedure the nurse replied "Oh G*d". Nurse was very exasperated and we feel very uncomfortable returning to this small clinic as we will have to interact with her. She was confrontational and very unkind. Dont waste your time with this guy. His office will tell you that they take state insurance as long as you're already a patient, but as soon as I brought my daughter in to get her 1 year shots, they told us they wouldn't be giving her shots because they don't offer that with state insurance. Dr. Palacio was also incredibly cold and rude to my wife, which he has plenty of time to do since he'll barely look at your kids. Don't waste your time with this this doctor or this practice, unless you want to pay for garbage service. Dont waste your time with this guy. Very friendly, always on time and you can tell he genuinely enjoys working with children.

Both of my daughters see Dr. Palacio, he is the best! Front desk and nurses are always very nice and helpful

My 10-year-old son has always had wonderful experiences with dr. Palacio and his staff. He has been caring, attentive, and knowlegeable.

We love Dr P. He has seen all 7 of my children over the years and sees my grandchildren as well! He never hesitated if they needed to see any specialist or sent to the hospital!

Dr. Palacio has been my daughters doctor since she was 2 years old (she's 16 now). He is always very attentive to her and addresses any issues that may come up. The office is very clean and the facility is new.

Trying to get a medication my son has been on for 3 years refilled has never been harder. I called and asked the nurse 3 time to ask the dr to refill it. She kept telling me she sent it to the pharmacy yet the pharmacy never got the order. So now that he is completely out they want him to come in for a visit to refill the medicine, but they won’t be able to see him for 5 days. He needs this medication and hasn’t missed a dose in 3 years and you want him to go without it for 5 days? This place is so incredibly frustrating to work with. Dr Palacio doesn't understand the care needed for my son who has chronic asthma. I go in for a yearly check up and he gives him 1 refill for his daily steroid inhaler. This needs to be taken all year!! He was in the ICU for 5 days one time and has been on this inhaler since he was a toddler. Guess he just skipped over that on the chart. Im a mother of 9 children and the only pediatrician I will ever trust is Dr P! He knew within seconds of seeing a video I showed to him that my infant son had a very rare type of epilepsy. Because of Dr Palacio's quick actions he was diagnosed and sent to Cleveland Clinic where he recieved a hemispherectomy and is doing amazing. Thanks to Dr Palacio and his nurse Alley for taking my calls and going above and beyond what any other practitioner wouldve done for us. He saved my son Joshua! My entire family go here and ALL the doctors, nurses and front desk workers are AMAZING!! They all have been super nice to me and my family. They're always quick at getting us in, if it's necessary. No matter what we are being seen for, all the doctors are great at explaining things in details and Dr Palacio is amazing with children, he's always been great my kids. All the PA that work here are very knowledgeable and respectful. I would without a doubt recommend 100% this Dr's office to anyone looking for a new doctor for their self or their children. My son left the NICU at 2w old (had neonatal sepsis). Followed up Dr. Palacio weekly, peds ID, peds cardiologist. While he seemed nice here were the issues 1. He was never supportive of breastfeeding- his wt was low from being sick he went from 80% to 15% . It was never mentioned till Cardio mentioned it... 2. Weekly labs - CBC & CRP to be reported to ID if any abnormal. Hgb dropped from like 12 to 8. He assumed it was a lab error, failed to even mention it me or pedsID. Well, it wasn't an error. It was true and by this point it was 7. My newborn was have difficulty breathing and his respiratory rate was very high. Called ID and immediately told it was from the antibiotic. Had they took this seriously from the start we might have avoided this. While it wasn't huge things he did. I was tired of my son not having proper care. Switched to Mid KS peds and have had no issues. I am much happier with his care.

I loved this clinic till now all the suddwn i got a letter in the mail saying he will no longer see my 16 daughter cause she dont get vaccinated she has had all her vaccines and i have the proof im so confused from this letter for real you must have her confused with someone else and if she is missing a vaccine a letter stating that would be better then trying to say she dont have her vaccines. I have her immunizations card she has had all her shots. Im so furious with this letter. Trying to accuse me of not vaccinating my kids when ill bring her card with me. Very shocked by Dr. Palacio outright lied to my daughter & myself to our face!!!!!!!! When the Derby Via Christi manager asked Dr. Palacio about the conversation he had with my daughter & myself he denied ever having it & said " I don't know what your talking about" .But assured my daughter & myself everything was going to be just fine!!! I've lost ALL respect for him & he's an outright liar!!! At this same location Derby Via Christi my family member with another Dr. Had an issue & was fired by Dr. Garner as a patient for literally NO REASON!! Dr. Garner's nurse lied about a conversation I had with her about my family member & that's when Dr. Garner fired him as a patient!! So whatever you do DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE they are liars & the nurse is hateful & rude & doesn't act like she can stand her job so she's miserable to the patients. And will have you fired as a patient if she doesn't like you as well as won't listen to what you have to say & is fast to cut you off about what's going on with you about why your needing to be seen for in the first place. I personally have been a patient at this clinic for the last 10 years at least & these problems have been going on for the last 3-4 years & there not going away there getting worse!!!! Love this Doctor! He’s great with my young grandsons

Went to him my entire childhood and although he is very nice man he did miss a lot of things. One day I realized I had scoliosis and went in to see how bad it was. I was 16 and had severe scoliosis and he never noticed it at all. Just annoyed that he could've prevented/stopped it from getting worse and from me needing to get surgery. Every time I call w/ questions in regards to my 7 mo old heart baby, he tells me to go to Wesley ER. What is the point of being "on-call" if you are going to refer a baby with a weak immune system to go to the ER with tons of germs and sick people?!? I simply asked about diarrhea and C-diff...he says "go to Wesley ER or call Dr. Nichols Monday morning at 7am". Mind you, it's Sat night and Memorial day is Monday. No helpful tips, information, or insight on anything except rushing me off the phone
