I was honestly shocked at his bedside manner. One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a doctor. Was in there for 1 minute and he clearly cared more about the money than the people. He talked so fast I barley had time to tell him what was wrong and I asked one question and he answered it rudely while walking out the door. I felt so dismissed and like I was inconveniencing him and I will never be returning to this facility. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

Very disrespectful nurse! Dr. Niederee offered treatment advise to a ED doctor without having the patient's chart available.

Dr Niederee listens to every word I say about my health issues. He has been treating me and my wife for 25 years. Done several skin cancer surgeries for me. He has gone out of his way to treat even my grandsons while they were in town visiting on very short notice. I have nothing but good things to say about his diagnostics and bed side manner. I have been seeing Dr. Niederee for a very long time, but over the past several years my experience with him has grown tiresome. My most recent appointment I had several symptoms, which he dismissed as unrelated. He was short, kept interrupting, and told me I needed to reschedule to address my other concerns. He was in and out in a few minutes time. It took over a week for them to call back with my lab results. The nurse gave me a prescription and seemed irritated when I asked a few questions (like how long I would be on this medication or how often I needed to take it).

He’s been my children’s doctor and my husband’s doctor for 23+ years. He’s very knowledgeable and caring, and he understands when money is an issue. He’s done minor surgery for my son and husband, and he set broken bones and diagnosed mono for my other son. We appreciate his care and professionalism.

David Niederee, M.D. Is one of those doctors that has been at it so long he stops seeing patients as people and instead just as numbers. It all depends on the timing. He helped diagnose my wife with lupus however when you flip the tables she went into the urgent care and he was on duty but because they were about to close he dismissed her problem only ran a quick flu test and told her to come back 24-48 hours if things got worse. The next day she was in the ER with sepsis and pneumonia. David Niederee, M.D. Is always very short and only half listens to your issues. He comes in the room and is back out normally within 5 minutes. No matter how many times my wife has seen him she is always treated like it’s the first. She has no hair and a laundry list of health issues, not someone who is very forgettable. I do not recommend doctor David Niederee, M.D. unless you have what everyone else has and you just want in and out with the standard diagnosis with zero effort to see if you have something else. Certainly do not think your life and health is at all more important then doctor David Niederee’s personal time. Dr Niederee’s nurses are snippy and rude. Every time I needed anything they would make it as difficult as possible. I think they delighted in it. I spoke with the front desk and was told they received numerous complaints but nothing is ever done. I’d think twice before signing the Dr. up because his nurses are mote dragons.

His is a great surgeon even though he is a general practitioner!

I used Dr. Niederee for several years when I lived in Derby. For the most part, he's not a bad doctor. However, he does love to order tests. Some of the tests he ordered, I didn't think were necessary. For instance, I went in with a cold and he ordered an x-ray and a breathing test. I ended up having to pay $120 co-pay when it was done. Be careful of the tests he orders. I started to believe that he did it to make money for the medical center. In addition, several tests over the years I would have to call and beg for results. I moved to another part of Kansas and Wow, what a difference in doctors! The one I have now spends a minimum of 15 minutes on each visit and when I have a test performed, they call me usually the same day or the next. Sometimes, even my doctor will call with the results. Try getting that at Derby Family Med Center. I will say it was easy to make an appointment if you needed one. The problem is Derby is growing and the doctors can't keep up.

Very poor. My initial visit was for a physical. He had a nurse call to tell me I was diabetic and he had called in a prescription. No appointment, no follow up. I called to make an appointment. During the office visit, we asked several questions. He got upset and stormed out of the room! Very poor.

Honest, informative, and answers all my questions.

I brought my daughter to urgent care where Dr Niederee was there. He spent MAYBE 1 minute examining her and on his way out the door briefly told us the medicine he is prescribing. I had a few questions in which irritated him. As he stood in the door with the door open, he sort of answered my question. He then asked where we wanted the prescriptions filled and then called them out to another pharmacy. He clearly did not listen to us and had no concern for my sick child! Worst doctor I have had

I have appreciated 6 years of care from Dr. Niederee. He has been attentive to all my concerns. He takes time to answer all my questions and explain everything. The facility has a lab and x-ray equipment on site, so when needed they are able to perform the test or x-ray right away.

I have never been treated so badly by a doctor.

I have been seeing Dr Niederee since I was 14 years old, my wrestling coach took me to see him for my physical exam. He has been taking care of me and my brothers since then. He now takes care of my Dad's health.

Dr. Niederee is straight forward with diagnoses and I am able to get in and out pretty quickly. I believe he saved my 92 yr old grandpa, whose regular Dr. basically ignored the very obvious signs of dementia.

Dr. Niederee in Derby, Kansas is a Dr. that is abusing his power. Maybe he didn't have to pledge to the code of ethics? He deliberately ordered more lab tests and xrays than necessary. Why is this such a big problem? Well, I've only been a patient of his for 7 months and am already through my insurance coverage. The rest is out of pocket. Historical invoicing shows he was ordering 5-7 tests each time that were above and beyond what was necessary. Stay away and find a Dr. that doesn't abuse and take advantage of his patients.
