Dr. Carol R Redillas

She listened and took time with me, actually did an exam, and helped me and my surgeon narrow down the cause of my dizziness avoiding a potentially life changing surgery. Afterwards she also treated me for lifelong migraines and made my life so much better by taking me from 15-20 migraines monthly to 1-2, that are now actually treated.

I have had Chronic Migraine for over 20 years. Dr Redillas has eased my pain and her office has gone above and beyond to help me with my pain management.

Dr R is nice, but the issue is with her office assistant, who is extremely rude. As previous commenters have mentioned, I think it would do her good to look at how her assistant is, as she is the first point of connection between patients and provider.

The absolute worst. I went end at the request of a emergency room doctor for a possible TIA stroke. it seems she is a headache doctor and knew nothing about my problem. I had hope after she scheduled an MRI on that Wednesday but after not hearing back on Monday I called to check. First the nurse was rude and said she would call me back after she checked on it without asking my name. Then I called back an hour later but got no answer until I called from an unknown number. I called my insurance to see if it had even been requited for approval and was told no, I truly believe this is maybe a pain management clinic not a neurologist. I would have really preferred if I was told that she could not help me. Next step is to report this place to the hospital board. It is really frightening not knowing what is going on in my body. Takes the time to listen. Great physician.

An irresponsible doctor. Misdiagnosed my migraines and then made it so difficult to send my labs that it was simply obstructive.

She is the one who should have her head examined, she gets multiple complaints from different people but nothing ever happens, I would not buy people like her shit for Valentines Day. She goes around taking sides with VA, and who-ever pays her the most, then she kept my medical records which is a HIPPA Violation. I would never recommend her unless you want your personal account info shared

Office has terrible manners, no personality no customer service, always an inconvenience. Never opens when they say and phones don't ring until they want them too.

I have heard some good things on this doctor so I decided to call and make an appointment because I am not getting any help with my current Neurologist. I called on yesterday to try and make an appointment, I was like WOW whoever answered that phone don't need a job. It was a horrible experience. The girl and I say that because there is no way a grown woman would act like that on a job. Frankly I felt like I was bothering her. I don't see how this doctor stay in business with phone staff like that. Very dry and rude and had the nerve to slam the phone in my ear. This place need to shut down. I guess I will never know if this doctor will be able to help me. Please re-evaluate your phone staff or replace that person. I’ll disclose a few issues. Honestly, there isn’t enough time in the world to detail my horrible experience here. Everything from my experience with the receptionists, to getting my prescriptions was awful. My appointments were always lengthy because she would be working with a previous patient during my scheduled appointment time. It was often hard for me to get in contact with anyone because they were sending the calls to voicemail instead of answering them. I’m a disabled veteran that suffers from migraines. I don’t like to leave my home because of the severity of my conditions. I had to physically go in to the office on several occasions just to get them to send the required information to my pharmacy of choice. The receptionists were always rude when I did. I tried to get an appointment from Dr. Carol Redillas and had no success. The first impression of a doctor is from their office staff and the phone call I made to try and get an appointment was not good. The phone call was answered with a simple "Hello", no mention of an doctor or his/her office was made. I asked to make an appointment and was put on hold. Later two people resumed the phone call, at the same time. One asked if I had insurance, which I did, then she asked what kind of United Health Care insurance I had. ("Not the Medicare kind" is what she wanted to know) I then had to tell her the name of the doctor that referred me to Dr. Redillas three times (the second two times I did so very slowly and deliberately, for her to understand). After the person still didn't understand my doctors name and from her attitude throughout this short conversation, I decided I did not want to go to any doctor with this much attitude from their staff. I then told the lady on the phone "never mind, I would make an appointment with another doctor". To which I ended our conversation. Dr. Redillas, as a physician, is amazing. She has helped my husband and myself and she is very thorough. My issue is with her staff. I called about an MRI result and asked to move my appointment up because I was nervous about the report. Rather than the staff complying she told me that was not something Dr. Redillas normally does. I explained I wanted it moved because I was nervous - not because of the physician being nervous - and she still didn't move my appointment. On my first office visit, the receptionist had no paperwork printed up in advanced. I waited AN HOUR before I even got the new patient paperwork and then had to complete them. Support staff can make or break a practice - and as of now, I'm not overly impressed with her staff. I think she needs to give serious attention to the organization of her office and the support staff that deals with her patients directly. Dr. Redillas, as a physician, is amazing. I have severe cluster headaches. She knows how to effectively treat them. The medication she has prescribed is very effective. There is still much to learn about the causes of cluster headaches, but still. She is ahead of the curve if anything. I highly recommend her.

I have been having headaches for the longest, and was looking up online for a neurologist and found this so i called in . at first call it was busy but within 5 mins iI got a call right back from Shannon and she scheduled me right away. Answered every question i needed to know she sounded very professional. Good customer service.!

When I first scheduled my very first appointment, I was very bothered and had to reschedule but I didn't even want to go. The front desk clerk is so so very un professional and has an ugly attitude. I stated this to the doctor and she sort of burshed it aside. I think maybe they are related. On my next visit I got the same coldness, but the last straw was walking into the clinic and two people at the front desk and none says good morning when I walked in. I had to make them speak.

I recommend Dr. Redillas to all of my friends and family who suffer from headaches or migraine. Dr. Redillas is the only doctor who has been able to determine a course of treatment for my migraine that actually works. My quality of life has improved vastly since becoming her patient.

Prior to going to Dr, Redillas I was seen by 3 neurologist, had acupuncture, had shots directly in my head with no pain medication, multiple trips to hospital/urgent care, etc. Had to stay home, miss work and lie in a dark room. Dr, Redillas was my saving grace. I began seeing her 6-7 years ago and followed her to the Chalmette office. Part of my problem that diagnosed by Dr. R was that I was overmedicated. She worked on this for some time. Test were ordered and now my headaches are rare, I do notknow what other avenue would be available if Dr, R would not had been referred by one of the top physicians. Lastly, I have referred her to my friends and they too are very pleased.
