Dr. Carrie S Streim

After Dr. Kinda left the practice we went to Dr. Streim for continuity of care which was a big mistake. Very poor and cold bedside manner which is surprising considering she chose pediatrics as her specialty. No compassion or empathy for teenagers. My teen now doesn’t want to visit the Doctor or freely express themselves because they fear the Doctor will not believe them and just label them a “bad” kid after their experience with Dr. Streim.

Rude staff. Especially Lauren. Dr streim is rude as well. Makes you feel incompetent. Billing sucks and will bill 2 years later, when insurance will deny because it’s too late. Then hit your credit.

I left this office after 2 appts. 1 appt for two different children. Dr streim was completely rude and made me (a third time mom) feel like i had no idea what i was doing. We immediately switched and have had no issues with our new dr. First kids appt was in aug 2020 i JUST received a bill from them sept 2021. Insurance was never ran. Also, just received a bill from my 2nd kids appt from March 2021. Again insurance never ran. Called and spoke to the office and billing who stated they would re run it and there would be no issues. Until today when i receive a collections notice from the March bill. Billing is extremely unhelpful. Called and spoke to Lauren in the office. Who was also rude. Talking to people while i was on the phone speaking. Kept cutting me off to tell me to call the 1-800 number that i already called. She said she would send them a message. I said i would wait for them but I’d also follow up with her on Tuesday. With attitude told me she wouldn’t be in on Tuesday and I’d need to call the 1-800 number. I said I’d call on Wednesday and she said k. And hung up. Clearly this office has had some issues since all of a sudden 6 months after leaving the office were getting bills from 6 months and a year ago. Both of which will be covered 100% by insurance. 0-stars 200$ for a 6 1/2 minute phone call to get a referral for a covid test. Thats over 1,700$ an hour they charged to give a referral slip to get a covid test that the covid test center told me I HAD to have. When they say a covid test is free but require a 200$ purchase of a note, then the test is NOT in fact free. And when they charge you unexpectedly then send that bill to collections while it's in court being disputed, that becomes extortion. 0-stars 200$ for a 6 1/2 minute phone call to get a referral for a covid test. She is a horrible person, rude to her staff (I witnessed her verbally abusing an employee), manipulates her patients and bullies the parents. I would never recommend her. Especially if you have a daughter. She will poke fun at weight problems and cause serious mental harm on impressionable young girls.

If I could put a lower score I would. My son was seen by another pediatrician , he was wonderful. Very receptive, always respectful, always ready to listen. Would make suggestions based on visiting with my child. Now we see Dr Strim. She is belittling, condescending and took no time to know our child. Her first move as our new pediatrician was to send him for an unnecessary follow up hearing test. First Dr discussed with us weather to do it or not. With my son's birth it was a suggestion, but he was and is progressing with no trouble. The three of us decided it was not necessary unless we noted any issues with his speech development. The Dr at the adiology office told us there was nothing conclusive. He can hear. The whole test was unnecessary. Dr Strim will only go by a book. She will not think about what is best for the individual, she will only go by the book. She will only go by what is suggested. She will speak down to you, speak over you, and not listen to you. If you question her directions she becomes defensive. She will only tell you "this is the way I was trained ". I will be asking to be transferred to anotther pediatrician in the office. Other wise we will change offices entirely. If I could put a lower score I would. My son was seen by another pediatrician , he was wonderful. Missing dr.kumar like crazy! Carrie doesn’t trust Mom's intuition and gets defensive when you remind her of something she said at your last appointment that she now disagrees with. She likes to tell you you’re wrong when you’re just trying to get an action plan for your son’s asthma. No bed side table at all. I really wanted to like her after spending a year with dr.kumar who is phenomenal! The staff is incredible by Carrie is a del breaker. Trust me- mom to mom-you want someone better!

I love both doctors, but Dr. Kumar is the best. I love all of the office staff and nurses, as well. I recommend them to everyone I talk to!!

We love both doctors here, but we use Dr. Streim. She has years of experience and has seen it all. She is always good about squeezing in my children when they have a sudden illness and need to be seen.

Dr. Streim was not pleasant to meet with. She has a very cold demeanor, which in the world of pediatrics seems very out of place. She made rash decisions about diagnosing my child without taking the time to ask questions that would have shown the diagnosis didn't apply at all. I had heard stories in town about her and now I have experienced it myself. Dr. Kumar is everything she is not. He is kind, understanding, personable, and loves kids! We LOVE him!

We love Dr. Streim and are always happy with her care. She knows are children, calls to follow up on them with illness, and is very blunt. Everything you want in a pediatrician.

Dr. Kumar is absolutely amazing and we absolutely adore him! On the other hand, the office staff has NO IDEA what they are doing! It is incredibly frustrating! EVERY TIME we have visited, something has gone wrong due to the bumbling administrative staff. My insurance was filed incorrectly TWICE, My appointments were scheduled at a time differently than what was written on my card, We had to visit three times just to verify that my son could have a physical to enter preschool, but when we talked about it each consecutive time, she had NO knowledge of conversing the previous time, so I had to rehash all the same information over and over again. I was specifically told that "we accept tricare but do not participate" which meant my co-pay would have been higher than normal which was fine, but I've been charged the full amount, the same as having no insurance! It's really a shame because I just ADORE Dr. Kumar, but I just can't stand dealing with the administrative staff any longer! I'm giving a 1 purely because of the quality of care that Dr. Kumar gives his patients. If it wasn't for him, this office would receive a big fat zero!
