Dr. Cheryl Sandoski Jones

Dr. Jones is an old school doctor in that she is no nonsense, doesn't waste time, and gets right down to business: you, the patient. Patient centered care is the name of the game. A couple reviewers have mentioned her somewhat odd nature, which having worked in the medical field for a few decades I don't find odd at all. It's just rare these days - efficient and straight to the point. Just the facts and let's make a game plan. When facing something like, oh I don't know, skin cancer, Dr. Jones is precisely the type of physician I would want in my corner - not somebody who minces words and sugar coats the facts to make me "feel" better. I feel blessed that I'm now a patient of record and can call on Dr. Jones if and when her extremely capable knowledge and services are needed.

I have been using Dr. Jones for several years. My experience with her and the office staff has been nothing but positive.

First time going to the dermatologist was really nervous the whole experience went great. Staff that checked me in was personable and friendly. Dr Jones took her time with me and answered all my questions and really made me feel comfortable thru out the whole process.

I have been going to Dr Jones for 5 years and have always been very pleased with her. She has always been friendly, professional and very knowledgeable. She always takes time to answer my questions.

I’ve been to a few dermatologist and she’s probably the most thorough doctor I been to. Now she is quirky and her bedside manor is a little different. She not there to be a friend she there to be your doctor. And she doesn’t hesitate to say what she is thinking. I saw one review where someone say is money focused; not sure if they have been seeing the same Dr Jones I have been to. If anything she’s the opposite; very money conscious; ie frugal. The only negative was her previous office staff; very formal, distanced and rigid. But with her move to Davis hwy I believe she has a new office team. Dr Jones was abrupt and too rushed to answer my questions. Her single spaced handout was inadequate and not formatted for easy use. I would not return to this practice again.

My first visit with Dr. Jones was yesterday as a transfer patient and new to this area. Dr. Jones was refreshingly straightforward, direct and extremely knowledgeable regarding my dermatology needs. I would highly recommend her to anyone based on my decades of medical experience.

My husband's oncologist recommended that we go to Dr. Jones and I am so glad that we did. She is very thorough and has caught several skin cancers on my husband. She is the one who determined my hair loss was related to my lupus and developed a treatment plan with me. Most recently, she went the extra mile on requesting more testing on a spot she had biopsied on my husband and because of that, we have learned that there is a strong likelihood that he has a very rare disorder. Prior to meeting with us, she spent the time to research the syndrome and provided us with information and informational websites. We developed a plan as to what next steps need to be. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Jones.

It’s been a few years since I went in to see Dr. Jones. It will be my last time. She was pretty rude about me needing to lose some weight....really? Like I wasn’t aware? It was the way she said it to me. I would never recommend her to anyone.

I went in for a skin check. As I was horizontal on the table, Dr. Cheryl Jones slapped me on my naked belly (like I was a misbehaving horse) and told me very sternly to "Get rid of that!" She continued to lecture me about the consequences of being overweight on your knees, etc. I am an elderly woman and was terribly humiliated. Frankly, I think she stepped way out of medical boundaries considering that she's a skin doctor. As a human, being a doctor does not give one the right to humiliate others.

I went to go visit Dr. Jones to help with the removal of a cyst on my head. First of all who tells a patient don't worry about a follow up after you just made an incision on their head. Secondly, I get it that you want to make money, but doing things without fully informing your patient that it won't take care of the problem is sketchy in my book. So if you want a doctor that cares for your money more than you as a patient, she's your choice. I guarantee I'll never step foot in there. Dr Jones seems to be very knowledgable and will take the time to answer any questions you may have. The office staff is very nice and accommodating.

Our family has used her for many years. She is a wonderful doctor and a wonderful person. I recommend Dr. Jones highly.

I have never been insulted and offended worse by any doctor or any other service i paid for than by this quack. I hope someone or anyone reads this review and it helps save one person from going to her. I had an issue with infected ingrown hairs on my arms. Without even looking at me or my condition she "bounces" in the door doing a little jig and starts into this lecture about how all my problems are weight related and goes on for 5mins or more about how im going to be buying a surgeon a Ferrari when i get older and have problems with my ankles ect. She was there for less than 10mins insulting me and never addressing any of my questions with real answers. when she couldn't give an answer related to my weight she blow it off and didn't answer it. Then the worse part of it all i had to pay her for insulting me. PLEASE do not give this quack any money or time. I saw this doctor and while she seemed reasonably competent in skin care, she was anxious to lecture me about my weight problem. It didn't appear to matter to her that I have specialists working with me about my weight, she still was determined to give me her advice, which was incorrect, by the way. While on the surface she was "friendly," she was not a good listener and she talked down to me as if I was a child or someone deficient in information. Perhaps she considered herself as "encouraging" me, but it had the opposite effect, making me stressed and upset. I had to stop going to her for skin care because of this, and I'm now much happier with someone else.
