I have a very bad infection from a hip replacement that’s been going on for 7 years. Well, back 7 years ago I had a wound VAC on for 3 months which should’ve been for 2-3 weeks. So during one of my wound VAC changes they took samples of the infection, and found that 2 of the 3 couldn’t be treated with oral medication. My appointment was on a Friday. Dr. Altmann said that she would schedule the appointment for a PICC line on Monday, because she had a medical conference to go to. I had to see my orthopedic doctor for my hip right afterwards. He tells me that these bugs are on your body, and how I don’t need a PICC line?? What? Dr. Altmann agreed with him, and just claimed up. Didn’t back up anything she said before. Next thing I knew during my wound VAC change 4 weeks later I was very sick. Here I was in sepsis shock, and my organs were shutting down. I spent 2 months in the hospital. I also found reading my medical records Dr. Altmann doesn’t know much about wound VAC’s.

Claudia is an amazingly talented doctor. I have recommended her to family and friends with no reservations.

Absolutely the best doctor we have ever dealt with. She took the time to meet with us and was wonderful. She truly cares.

Never could get anything straight. Backed down to other doctors even though she was supposed to be treating the infections. She never did.
