Wonderful doctor! Took the time to explain procedures to my friends and family also. A complete blockage taking me to ER then emergency surgery the next day! A trying time to have an excellent and thoughtful doctor and staff. Keri, one of his nurses, is the best! Always there to explain procedures and help with appliances.

Excellent doctor who spends time explaining the surgery, cancer and helped me get through a difficult time.

I had some very painful rectal issues that had me in tears! Dr Simmang diagnosed me quickly and scheduled surgery for the very next day. He did a wonderful job! His staff is very very courteous and friendly and comforting. I would highly recommend Dr Simmang if you have any colo rectal issues. I can’t say enough good things about him and his staff!!

I have known Dr. Simmang since August of 1999 when I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer. He is the most competent and caring surgeon you will ever find. If you need any thing from a colonoscopy to the most major of surgeries, this is the Doctor you want to do it. My surgery was one of the most complex that you can have. If you can find a better surgeon than him, good luck with that. He has always made me feel as if we are friends and treated me with the utmost care and understanding.

Absolutely awful experience! From start to finish, there were a sequence of errors that are frankly alarming. At this point, I will feel lucky if I just get back to feeling how I did before the surgery. I suffered internal bleeding that required blood transfusions even though the dictation says the estimated blood loss was minimal! In the hospital, I discovered that I wasn't even getting some of my normal medications. The surgical competency is clearly lacking based on the available evidence.

I saw Dr. Simmang to get a second opinion and was SO impressed by hiw he spoke to me, explained things to me and with his overall genuine care for me that I set up an appointment for him to do my surgery. His office staff were so kind and helpful! Thank you Lisa for finding a place to get me in for surgery quick. Thank you Nicole for being kind and taking the time to explain some medical questions and concerns I had, you eased my mind!

In spite of being a very busy surgeon, dr. SImmang makes you feel you are his only focus to heal and take care of you. I was very blessed to have him as a surgeon and he saved my life. Thank you dr. SImmang.

Dr. Simmang is a great doctor and a kind person. He goes above and beyond the call of duty and always puts his patients first. He has exceed my expectations in every way.

Dr. Simmang is a wonderful doctor who really cares about and loves his patients. I had a colorectal surgery done by him. I was naturally very scared. However, Dr. Simmang's explanations with pros and cons of the surgery and his patient listening and resolution of our concerns made the whole thing very easy for me. I will recommend Dr. Simmang wholeheartedly and without any reservation to anyone who is looking for an excellent colorectal surgeon. ----- Anu Arya
