I decided to give this provider another chance and it's been since the beginning of the month, and I still haven't rec'd my medication. He has the worse front office team. Never again will I go there.

Would not recommend this GI specialist to anyone.

Dr. Cox was easy to talk with, he listened to what I had to say. He is a cool Dr. I would recommend him to everyone.

Dr Cox and the whole staff were great, they made a not so fun experience, not so bad at all, i would highly recommend him. All were very kind and professional throughout the entire procedure.

From consultation to testing to procedure all went smoothly. I was a bit nervous but Dr. Cox was great and assured me it would all be fine.

Not good! Called multiple times NO answer, left message NO callback, horrible service...

Many years ago i had this doctor do an upper endoscopy on me, before the procedure I told the doctor I have woken up in surgery many times under “normal sedation” and needed to be put to sleep, he totally disregarded everything I told him and said I did not need it, I went along and approved it, and of course during the procedure I woke up twice while they were shoving the camera down my throat, and again when they were pulling it out, my Esophagus, throat, and everything else was very swollen, I couldn’t swallow and I could barely talk, today as of 6-23-20 I had another doctor do my procedure correctly and have no pain whatsoever, this man is very mean, called me a liar, told my wife I was lying, threatened not to give me my results, (and never did give me my results) STEER CLEAR OF DR COX! Feel like I saw a totally different doctor than some of these reviews. Really like Dr. Cox, saw me on time, listened and got me a referral for my endoscopy. He took time to talk with me and my wife about things at the endoscopy. When trying to book it though I had issues and had to call his offices many times. Same when booking the follow up appointment. Their voicemail seems to intentionally not work - you can rarely leave a message and they will not pick up even during business hours. My procedure was also delayed over a week due to staff losing my referral forms. Feel like I saw a totally different doctor than some of these reviews. I would recommend this Dr. and his staff to everyone. They were so kind and helpful. I was in lots of pain and needed assistance immediately, they answered my calls or called me back when needed. I received my referral and procedure appointments in a timely manner. Dr. Cox was so nice and listened to what I was feeling, and didn't dismiss me and my symptoms right away. Worse office staff I've ever encountered. Several attempts made to contact with Dr.Cox went unanswered. No way to leave message . Patient call-backs is the first step to being a good Dr.

Staff is rude and not at all helpful. Dr. asked me to do an urgent MRI because the condition could be serious and require immediate hospitalization. I did the MRI same morning, and it was sent to him within an our. I called 3 times that day and the extremely rude receptionist basically said "I don't have time to look at the fax now, if he got it he will call you and if not tomorrow" Nothing happened that day. I called the next day 3 times throughout the day, same incredibly rude response and no call either. This could have been a medical emergency and this level of incompetence is how people die. Extremely frustrating and dangerous incompetence. Please do not put your heath on this guy's team. Staff is rude and not at all helpful. My name is Olena Merrill. Dr Cox is the best doctor I ever see in my life! My son was admitted in Lakewood hospital for 14 days and Dr Cox his gastroenterologist. He safe my son's life! Also after my son diagnosed with hepatitis C dr Cox killed this virus and my son right now healthy! When my husband passed from liver cancer I came to the office Dr Cox and he hold my both hands and talk to me,he explain to me nothing can help my husband,I am crying and Dr Cox talk to me and be with me in hard time in my life! When my mom diagnosed colon cancer Dr Cox safe my mom's life! I made appointment for October 21st and will see Dr.Cox . I wish more doctors on this Earth like Dr Cox . The staff at the Lakewood office, is unbelievable. I have never experience an office that does not greats you, when they ask "do you have an appointment?" you reply, yes. This is when they look up at you to say " you do not", even though the day before you rcvd a vm reminding your appointment for the following day. If it wasn't for Dr. Cox, I would be looking for a difference specialist. I am not one to complain, but this is way too much. Lets not forget, the staff never returns your calls, even though you have called multiple times to follow up onto a PA, when you do get a hold of someone in the office, the staff will say, someone will call you back. Don't hold your breath, they will not return your call and/or call you to let you know the PA was approved and when to schd appointment. I am livid, annoyed with the staff. Staff needs to learn customer service skill.

Doctor ordered tests (for symptoms that may indicate pancreatic cancer) that would originally take 5 weeks to get results. They were expedited, but even though he got results he refused to look at them until the appointment in 3 weeks. This is LIFE and DEATH and his office staff was rude and does not care. AVOID THIS DOCTOR, he is lazy and has no urgency when diagnosing patients.

Dr Cox is very gentle soft spoken and very reassuring while speaking to you. He seems to really care. He did my colonoscopy and then coincidentally he was assigned to see my brother for some stomach issues. He was great with both of us.

Doc is great. Office staff will not answer phones, does not call back.

Totally unprofessional staff. Does not answer calls and took an over 2 hour lunch break. Waited over an hour past the time listed for their lunch hours. No note indicating the change in hours at all. Would not recommend this place if the care you need is urgent.

The front desk staff is the most rude disrespectful interaction I have ever experienced. Not to mention the hour wait past appointment time have to wait just to get into a room. If I could give a negitave star rating would better fit the front desk staff.

My mother was just seen by Dr. Cox, he was wonderful and really listened to her. His staff was VERY Helpful and explained the process for her procedures. They answered all my questions every time I called, I recommend His office to all my Family and Friends.

Office staff is rude and will argue with you. They spend time on personal calls and leave patients on hold. Prescriptions are difficult to refill as they blame everyone for not receiving it even with time stamped proff of time sent from pharmacy. No backup dr to help, this guy is totally checked out.

My lament is still lingering after 3 months of seeing Dr. Cox. He was late for the endoscopy. That is not an issue but, he never tried to apologize when he came in or even say hello to me since I was still 100% awake. I have not had the sleeping meds. After the endoscopy, he saw me in the post op area, told me briefly about my Dx and said that he was going to give me a medication. I assumed he would wait for the final biopsy report. It is not so. I decided to see another doctor.

Excellent doctor very caring for his patient's

Going to Dr. Cox is so refreshing. He listens to his patients, has compassion and really breaks down all the doctor talk, so that each patient understands. The office staff is friendly compassionate and pleasant. If you are looking for the best you have found him. Dr. Cox
