I just call and the secretary attitude was terrible, she send me to umass plastic surgery thinking I can’t pay for a surgery so sad I have a huge concern and she was so mean

I had a horrible experience and considered suing. I was not overweight but wanted to have some abdominal touchup. I was recommended to have cool sculpting done, I received zero results and was told I needed laser assisted lipo. During my lipo appt I was half awake, she burned me with the cannula and when done was shuffled me out the door. I received no follow up appt and was told that it might take up to a full year to realize the full results. I got zero results and when I called back they didn't want to hear it. This was about 10 years ago and I still regret going to Poulos to this day. Over 10k wasted, left with scars, and zero result. Do your homework.

Doctor Poulos is an amazing surgeon, I am not disappointed in my choice. I researched a bit before I picked my surgeon for my breast augmentation. Not only is she double board certified, but she has hospital privileges which I feel is very important when looking for a surgeon. She’s honest and straight forward, which I appreciate. I’ve read some reviews stating she’s “rude” I want to clear that up, she’s real and she’s going to tell you the truth which tells me how much of a great surgeon she is. I rather an honest, open, conversation with my surgeon makes it easier to trust them and doesn’t set one up for failure. Staff is wonderful, particularly the med spa run by Mary Beth - she is an anti-aging guru. Dr. Poulos herself is professional and thorough. The office is well-appointed and is a relaxing environment.

I got the referral and now I'm told Dr. Poulos is not taking Blue Cross for breast reduction surgery. Cash only. That's ridiculous considering the amount of pain this causes a lot of women. Dr. Poulos is awesome! I'm very satisfied. If you're thinking of any procedure, at a minimum, go in for a consultation. She will inform you of practical outcomes.

I will never step foot in this office again. The office is very nice but I got talked into plastic surgery that did not pan out. There was ZERO follow up by this office and when I had issues and concerns almost a year later those concerns fell on deaf ears.

Doesn't take insurance for medical procedures. Insurance referral required one month ago, now she doesn't take it. Cash only. Breast reduction is a medical procedure which causes significant pain and migraines. Completely disappointed they got my referral and didn't even call to tell me I need another surgeon. Why would anyone pay cash when Blue Cross covers the surgery? Why?

I had the best experience with Dr. Poulos and with the office staff's who are helpful, caring and informative. I always felt very comfortable for my appointments. Dr. Poulos is fabulous, excellent, extraordinary surgeon, she did an amazing job and my recovery was extremely painless, fast and quick. I would super highly recommend her and would definitely come back to her. I took one of the best decisions of my life coming to her.

I went to the office today for my first tattoo removal session with Mary Beth. She was knowledgable, very fair with pricing and a simply just a total sweetheart. I don't know where some of these negative reviews are coming from. The reason that Dr. Poulos is so good at what she does is because she is direct, honest, and realistic. I recently had rhinoplasty done by her and couldn't have asked for a better result. I knew going into it exactly what to expect. If you want a doctor who will lie to you and promise you unrealistic results, she isn't the doctor for you. She will give you the (sometimes hard) truth about what she can and can't do for you. I would recommend her to 100/100 people. I wish I'd had her as my doctor when I had my breast augmentation done, because I would probably be much more proportionate today. I went to see Dr. Poulos about a breast Augmentation and Liposuction, the nurse was the first person I met she was very nice went over my medical information with me and led me to the room to meet with the Dr. I had my husband with me and as soon as the Dr. came into the room she kicked my husband out of the room did a two minute exam then looked at me and told me that she didn’t like the medication I was on, she called me a drug addict after I started crying from being in utter shock she continued going on about my weight and how the surgery wouldn’t work because I was too big and how I should go on weight watchers before she would even consider doing liposuction on me. I couldn’t even speak I was crying so hard with the way she talked to me. It’s one thing to not beat around the bush it’s another thing to have some good tact and bedside manner while doing it!! Being a professional in healthcare I have to say this doctor lacks ANY form of bedside manner. Very unprofessional. As she is marking me up for surgery, she is yelling at me to stand up straight! I met Dr. Poulos when she was working at Milford Hospital - my initial consult was probably 5 or so years ago. She's very blunt, but so am I, and she's very informative- in regards to what she thinks will be the best course of action for you with reference to your concerns. But over the last 1.5 years there's been continual problems that I have brought up. DR. Poulos had done a procedure on my neck and chin. The issues she was to correct were gone. But I noticed what almost looked like a jowl forming on my right side after that procedure. When I brought this up two weeks ago to the nurse and to the doctor herself -the nurse stated she couldn't really notice it, looked like asymmetry to her which everyone's face has, but I desired the doctor's opinion. She comes in and as her usual self - and I'm used to it - bluntly says "oh that's age." So I guess I aged right after the procedure. She said my only option was to do a mini face lift to permanently get rid of it. Really? Well her office took a bunch of pics-you would have thought that you would have told me I could just get the mini lift before I dished out 1000s of dollars for this Precision TX procedure. But let's have her get the procedure & then tell her she's aged in a few months and now needs a mini face lift? What they do not know is that I did have two more opinions - both plastic surgeons are located in Providence. They do believe the Jowl was caused from the Precision TX. They don't believe that I need a face lift they think I'm too young for it, but Dr. Poulos had no problem bringing it up. They said my right side cheek is not symmetrical, under my lower cheek I've lost volume and that Restylane injections in those areas with some back into the jawline (which was lipo'ed during Precision TX) would resolve the problem I saw. They both said it's temp I'll always need the fillers now, so that's money that is on top of the surgery I just paid for. Fix one thing, and she created another issue. One should also note that YOUR time does not matter to this office. There's a reason why this office is giving money off if you do reviews. They're trying to erase or push down the bad ones. Also within the last year and a half they've canceled on me continually. I've brought this up to the office manager & she said to me that "Dr. Poulos is a surgeon, she or her nurses can't help emergencies that arise." But they don't care that they cancel on you when you have your own clients at an obvious loss of pay. Have I ever been offered money off for my loss of pay for I believe the 4 times they've canceled on me this year alone? Never. They also forgot to even schedule one particular follow up appt after I had my surgery done because Dr. Poulos asked why I was still wearing my compression mask. Oh, I don't know? Because last I knew that's the last instructions I was given. Dr. Poulos was like oh no I was wondering why I hadn't seen you sooner - I thought you canceled. No I didn't, that is their way of operating not me. They just forgot to schedule a follow up. Professional. Not quite. But to find out that there was a mistake made by two other professionals confirming is pretty sad. I was thrilled that Dr. Poulos could fix what she did. Wasn't expecting a problem on my right lower cheek and pain still in that area 6 months later. The two plastic surgeons I went to all in the same day said most lasers won't do much and are a waste of money. They also said that I'm too young for a mini face lift that can also create more issues. So when you see an array of good reviews after mine, just know she's been getting other bad reviews and so she's offering money off to write a good one. Paying for reviews. So ethical. Also the letter that went out to you guys was dated 8/5. I had my consults on 8/6. Not getting my face ruined again when I thought she was doing a great job on the chin but told by two other professionals that was not the case with my cheek. I was also told that the volbella you use is useless by both surgeons because I find it doesn't stay. I just had a follow up visit for my abdominoplasty and it went great!!! Dr. puolos is amazing and is always extremely knowledgeable and professional! I highly recommend her as I have had two procedures and am looking forward to future visits!!!!

I was concerned about being African American and having cosmetic procedures, but all my concerns were addressed with honesty and I appreciated that. Dr Poulos and her team are awesome. She certainly has your best interest at heart and you will not leave there disappointed.

I wanted a double chin gone&loose neck. I’m a size 5 so she told me it was a genetic issue. Took a lot of pics & told me Precision TX would be the best option. The chin fat&neck is better. But I went to 2 plastic surgeons on 8/6 Bc I was told by her only a facelift would now work on loose skin near my lower cheek? It was not there before the surgery. After a 4k surgery? Went to 2 plastic surgeons that said she took too much out on my jaw line. So they would have to refill the jaw & cheek. Waste

I would like to share the experience I had at the office of Dr. Poulos. I found Dr. Poulos and her staff to be very professional and nothing but nice! All my questions were answered she discussed multiple options for my treatments. My expectations were more than met and I am ecstatic at the results. I would highly recommend her.

I have been seeing Dr Poulos for over 4 years, always pleased with the care and treatment.

I had a consult for Rhinoplasty and Dr Poulos and her team took the time to explain my options, show me potential outcomes, made me aware of risks etc. I was fully informed about this procedure and my concerns about ethnic rhinoplasty were addressed. They also discussed an alternative that I was not aware of and I opted to try it. Well...This was the best money I ever spent . I am so happy with the results that I’m on cloud 9. The staff there is always friendly, Dr Poulos is gentle... 10 stars !

I went to Dr Poulos for the 1st time in 2015 for a revision of a ruptured silicone implant. Her office is very pretty and her staff is nice, however she never greeted me with a "Hello" until I called her out on it during our 3rd apt. She said she was too busy and not to take it personally. Within a week of the 1st revision I was back in the hospital with a hematoma so bad my breast and ribs were literally black. She put in a pump. After a few short months it became quite obvious that one of my implants fell put of the pocket. So, before a year was up she cut me open again to suture the implants which she should of done the first time. Due to her error I only paid for the anesthesiologist and hospital BUT she voided the warranty on my brand new implants that I paid almost 13K to have her fix. I told her I was willing to purchase new implants so I would have a warranty but she stated that she had a great relationship with her rep and that would not be necessary. So, she opened me up for the 3rd time, I went to my 30 day F/U and afterwards I still had questions about the surgery as my breasts were very uneven. Hoping to get answers during my 90 F/U was what I expected. She REFUSED to see me only allowing me to converse with her staff. They did not have the answers to my questions, probably because they were not in the room when she did the surgery. She sent me an e-mail wishing me well and directing me to get another doctor, which I did. I took all 3 sets of surgical notes and after an examination this other surgeon was shocked. She left me with an 8 inch scar under 1 breast and a 7 inch scar under the other. YES, I said INCH. I was informed that she butchered me, the scars should of been measured in CENTIMETERS, they were more than 3X what they should of been. The 2nd opinion I received gave me a laundry list of errors I won't bore you with. Fast forward to 2018...I discovered a painful lump and had an immediate mammogram and ultrasound only to find that this woman left a nice piece of silicone inside me which is migrating into my armpit The hospital suggested I contact her, which I did, and she made the decision to ignore my plea to her for help. PATIENT ABANDONMENT!!! That is what numerous doctors have told me she has done. Now I have no warranty, free floating silicone inside my body and ugly uneven breasts and this woman won't even respond to my e-mail for help about the silicone she neglected to remove. How will her relationship with her rep help me if I have another rupture if she won't even return my e-mail? I was told that there could be some retaliation for leaving a poor review but what more could she do to hurt me at this point? Dr. Poulos needs to stick with facials. BTW, one of her staff members suggested that I smoke pot to relieve the pain. I'm of the opinion thats what Dr. Poulos did prior to my 1st surgery, based on results. From the very first phone call, to the first appointment I felt comfortable and truly cared for. Although I knew what I wanted to get done, I was not familiar with any procedure techniques. I had reconstructive surgery after a full masectomy for breast cancer several years ago. But every day, I see the result of the butchering she did. She was always unavailable when i asked to talk to her. Her staff was not friendly either. I don't understand why my doctor suggested her. Reconstruction? It was a deconstruction.

There are only 2 words that I can think of: Miracle Worker! Dr. Poulos took the time to listen to my concerns and answer all of my questions. She gave me her professional advice on some things I was still undecided on and made sure I was comfortable with the choices I was making. Every appointment I had leading up to my surgery was handled in such a professional and calming manner that I had no apprehensions or fears; I felt like I was truly in "good hands". I am beyond happy with my results!

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE !!!!!! - should be ZERO stars. Background - I am very active and in shape male and only had a bit of a spare tire that I wanted to have addressed. This was some time ago but it has bothered me ever since. I went to Dr. Poulos about 10 years ago, they said I was the 'perfect' candidate a non invasive procedure and sold me some expensive but totally useless 'Zerona' cool sculpting sessions. It was garbage, ZERO results. Disappointed I decided to take the plunge and just get the lipo. I had a consult with Dr. Poulos who said this was now the way to go and said she would be doing a laser assisted lipo procedure under a local anesthesia. Long and the short of it none of it went well. She actually burned my side with the cannula, when she put it down on the medical table next to me. After the procedure I was told that it may take up to a year to realize the full results of the procedure. They NEVER scheduled a follow up, I never heard from them again and I was pretty scarred on both sides of my body. To this day have VERY noticeable scars and after the year had past I still had ZERO results and only scars to show for it. I did contact them again after about a year and a half+ to talk to them about it. I scheduled another consult and was told that they would do an additional procedure for a "discounted" fee which I was not satisfied with. Then during negotiation on terms they decided to re-neg and would not address the problems and lack of results. I suspect because I was holding their feet to the fire It was all VERY disappointing. They seem very nice in the office, the office looks nice and is well appointed, staff is very professional and courteous but they really just want your money. Dr. Poulos' "professional" manner left a LOT to be desired. I would NOT recommend this office to anyone. My experience with Dr. Poulos was awesome. I felt totally comfortable with her after the first 5 minutes of meeting her. She does not rush through your consultation, giving you time to discuss your procedure and expected outcome. I found her to be very honest, ethical and trustworthy, I also have nothing but praise for her staff whose enthusiasm and knowledge is impressive. I am over the moon with my results and have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Poulos to anyone.

First, I would like to say that after moving to the area from out of state I was apprehensive about where to go to continue with my filler and Botox treatments as there are a lot of choices in the area. I decided to take a leap of faith considering Dr. Poulos has so much experience. I am so very happy I chose Dr. Poulos for my treatment, as she looked at me and knew immediately what I needed.
