When the leg began to loosen up (30 days) I started to feel stinging like pin pricks that led to total numbness in my loer leg and foot. Did he cut a nerve? He claims it had nothing to do with his work and laughed in my face when I told him what pain I was in. He was so nice at first.....now I'lm in constant pain.

Dr. Cooper and his staff are the only ones we trust with knee and shoulder issues. Unfortunately, our family has needed his services multiple times but he has been great about fixing our injuries and getting us back into the game!

The best doctor!! My husband has had multiple surgeries with Dr. Cooper during his time playing for the Dallas Cowboys and I’ve so grateful he will be operating on me!

Everyone in the clinic has been great from the Doctor to the staff. I am from out of town and the first time that I had to deal with a major surgery. Broke my leg and back in March and my leg has recovered so well! Dr Cooper and his group were very responsive and helpful and it has been a smooth recovery. I go to PT at the Carrell Clinic and it was very helpful that the doctors and therapists knew & communicated with each other!

I haven’t seen Dr. Cooper in awhile - but seeing him on the field tending to Dak Prescott reminding me of how phenomenal of a surgeon he is. Whether you’re a pro or a measly D3 athlete he gives fantastic attention to detail and truly cares about returning you to your full ability. He did 3 knee surgies over my soccer career and is probably the single reason I was able to have a college soccer career. The best of the best. I will always return for any orthopedic knee issues. If you want the best in the business go see Dr. Cooper. I came to see him after my first Dr said they wanted to fracture my leg to adjust the angle of me knee joint after looking at x-rays and a MRI. Dr. Cooper said, "No, you have a torn meniscus and some arthritis, but don't need that". Everyone knows Dr Cooper is the best. I am sure he knows as well. What I like is he takes the time to talk with me, answer my questions, and really knows how to get me back as quickly as possible. After both surgeries, he personally called my wife to update her. He did this not an assistant. I NEVER have to worry when I know him and his team are working on me. I injured my knee back in February. My wife researched the best Orthopedic surgeon in Dallas and she found Dr Cooper. He explained the damage caused to my knee and assured me he could fix me as good as new. Well, he did exactly what he said he would do. It's been 10 months and my knee is healing just as he projected. I could not be more happier with my results and I can truly say, he is THE BEST at what he does. Daughter has had 2 knee surgeries with Dr. Cooper. She previously had 2 surgeries with a different group of Dr.s in Allen TX. All we can say is from the moment we started at the Carrell clinic it has been a life changing experience. The first time we met Dr. Cooper he went above and beyond giving my daughter the time to explain her story and working with her to understand why and what was needing to be done. Each of the surgeries went flawlessly and my daughter now has an ACL and knee that will last her the rest of her life. So grateful to Dr Cooper. I would definitely recommend Dr Cooper. He did a tremendous job on my torn ALC! I was weight bearing the 2nd day after surgery, didn’t have to wear a brace and just used one crutch for support while walking. I am so thankful to have this incredible doctor perform my knee surgery- I will back playing tennis in six-seven months all due to his skill and expertise. I was dreading this whole experience but it honestly hasn’t been bad at all.... Dr. Cooper is a genius!!

Dr. Cooper took the time to clearly explain the conditions and expectations of my surgery and recovery for my Meniscus procedure. Even when unsure of my progress he provides confidence and understanding that leads to full recovery and use.

Dr. Cooper is caring and takes his time to explain your situation. He's by far the best orthopedic surgeon I've been to.

Excellent. Explains procedures, rehabilitation, expectations very well. Staff is always friendly and helpful. I have never had a problem and this is after 3 surgeries. I won’t go anywhere else.

He knew what he was talking about and was very up front about what I needed done and what I had to do to get there. He knows what’s best for you and will help you as long as you put forth the effort yourself.

Dr. Cooper did my ACL reconstruction. He is a great surgeon and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire recovery process. He answered all of my questions and made sure I understood everything.

After three failed ACL surgeries for my son from a previous doctor, we were sent to Dr. Cooper. Not only did he fix the damage, he gave him incredibly stable knees. I was in awe at the professionalism of his staff in the clinic as well as his team at the hospital. We are so lucky to have Dr. Cooper and I can not recommend him enough.

Dr. Cooper is an excellent surgeon and I highly recommend him. Dr. Cooper repaired my ACL on my left knee several years ago and did a meniscus repair on my right knee today. Excellent and organized staff too.

Dr. Cooper is the most knowledgeable orthopedist. He's very professional and cares about his patient's outcomes.

I guess -- according to all these reviews -- he's the best. Sadly for us, we didn't get to find out. My wife was having residual pain after 2 previous knee surgeries that didn't fully resolve the issue. She went to him for a consult, but he spent most of the session criticizing her for having the wrong kind of doctor perform her 2nd surgery (a plastic surgeon who removed some scar tissue and stuff from outside the knee joint) and basically insinuating that it was her fault she was still in pain. I try to be objective and unemotional about this stuff, but to this day I'm in shock that a physician could be that reckless in talking to a patient who is obviously in serious physical and emotional pain. She literally had nightmares about him and would get anxious for a while when she saw people who looked like him in public. What did she need in that appointment? A sympathetic ear to listen to her problem with her knee, examine her, and discuss potential options. That's all. Not the blame.

Very pleased with the care I received from Dr. Cooper from the initial consultation to the single port arthroscopy he performed on my knee. I was back at volleyball quickly and haven't had any trouble since that time. I would certainly consult with Dr. Cooper again if any further ortho/sports care is needed.

Dr. Cooper came highly recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I followed his advice. His single port technique of arthroscopic knee surgery is a game changer! I had a tear in my meniscus that needed repair. Immediately after surgery my knee felt sore, but really no pain. I followed up with several PT appointments and after my three week check up I am able to return to low impact exercise. I've had family and friends who have had similar injuries, but with a multiple port technique and recuperation and returning to exercising took them much longer and with more pain and discomfort. I couldn’t recommend Dr Cooper or this single port technique more highly.

Being a professional athlete pays having a reliable doctor who is not only experienced, but has knowledge to educate you on your post therapy and timeline. He reconstructed the my knee, and his physical therapist, Adeeb Khalfe, strengthened my knee to have me back on the field in no time. Thanks for your hardwork and dedication. He told a young girl with absolutely NO cartilidge and arthritis in her knee to get baritaric surgery and just live with it!!!
