Dr Daniel Staddler was my doctor, as well as my mother's before she passed, here in Janesville for a large portion of my life before he moved to Stoughton for work. It was my choice to find a new doctor after that simply because of the distance.. but I miss him as my doc all the time. He's got the best bedside manner, he's funny, and can crack a joke at the best of times (I'll never forget "Moley moley moley!" as he held up the mole he'd removed) He's incredibly smart, wise.. and he listens. I've never posted a review for a doctor before, and am actually only doing it now because I was looking him up to see if I could find him again. But after going from doctor to doctor after he left, I can honestly say he is not only one of my favorite people, but the absolute best doctor I've ever met. I'm officially going to go the distance to Stoughton to go back to receiving his care. How in the world did we ever be so blessed as to have Dr. Staddler as our father's primary physician. This person not only cares deeply for his patients but also is open and direct with his diagnosis. You can hear the sincerity in his voice and see the dedication in his actions. Today he drove all the way from his office to a memory care unit in Janesville in order to examine the current condition of my father. He spent over 1/2 hour talking to my father to gauge his current state and then took the time to independently meet with the family members to clarify what he had heard as well as to listen to our concerns and supporting information. HE TRULY CARES. You don't find this type of person very often ... but I am sincerely grateful than my father had. Dr. Staddler is an amazing individual who truly cares about his patients. He is direct yet gentle. He is informative and speaks to us in ways that we understand. He is dedicated to his patients and their well being and has the goal for every individual to live their lives to the fullest, healthiest and happiest possible. Today he drove from his office to Janesville for the sole purpose of diagnosing the condition of our father who currently resides in a memory care unit. He didn't have to do that - but he did - because he cares. He is sincere, skilled, people friendly and I could not have wanted a better doctor for our father. Dr. Staddler is a blessing ... and I only wish that he were in my health plan for I would change to his care in an instant. If you have the chance to do this with your plan - do not hesitate - you will never regret it.

He explains things well and is friendly while you are there but is unresponsive when other doctors try to contact him. My GI and nutritionist both tried contacting him multiple times but he never replied. He also will bill you as much as possible for each visit, so be aware. If you go for a preventative visit and talk about anything else that’s not “preventative” you will be billed for an entirely separate office visit. It is also not the hospital, it’s the doctor. I even checked with the billing department and was told that this is how the doctor wants the visits billed. I also noticed the hospital didn’t put my survey response on their website, so just be aware that those can be deceiving.

This physician was cordial and RELATIVELY prompt. Most of disappointment with this physician was after the appointment. Tests were ordered and this physician did not confirm that he looked at them, nor did he or his office let me know that the results were in. No one from the office explained the test results to me. Talks quite a bit and claims he listens, but I did not find that he did so.
