Dr. Darrell B. Sims

I can’t speak for everyone else but I can honestly say that the level of customer service I’ve received was nothing short of amaze balls. Don was such a sweetheart and always had a smile on her face. The head guy was awesome sauce. I learned some helpful things from him and he put me at ease. I have numerous teeth extracted and it was done in no time. The bathroom is super cute and they’re very personable.

I had an excellent experience with Dr Sims and his staff. Frankly, I wanted to write a review because Dawn, Dr Sims and the team were SO great, I felt obligated. Being from the East Coast and living Internationally, I have met and seen all manner of Dentists. This team did a wonderful job, all around. My procedure was quick, painless and they fit me into their schedule.

Very friendly staff. They were very flexible and accommodating with removing my wisdom teeth. As far as I can tell, everything feels fine and my mouth is feeling much better thanks to them. The surgery was very fast and painless.

Yelling at someone trying to take care of there dog is just wrong. The lady was trying to fix the issue and he just had to yell at her. What a terrible place! Don’t take your negativity or the fact of you having a bad day out on someone. That is just foolish and not the type of person we need in the community!

My relative was treated terribly at this office. Literally walked out because of his mannerisms. Totally rude & unprofessional doctor! Would NOT ever recommend this place!

I went in on Friday to have two wisdom teeth removed. I won’t be going back. I felt like I was just another number to them. Didn’t explain anything and wasn’t even fully awake when they “helped” me into the wheelchair. Not a good experience.

This place should be in a third world country. It took them 9 tries to get an IV going. I’m ex military and I have been through more pain and suffering than most. I wouldn’t send my worst enemy to this place. Reusing IV bags? Getting mad because patients have anxiety? Really? BOTTOM LINE: STAY AWAY FROM THIS QUACK!!!

This office has been almost impossible to get ahold of or Into. All I wanted was background information so I could share with the orthodontist and the same surgeon to work on my son. The office lady has been rude to me over three times. I’m over the office drama and the terrible traffic.

So far so good. The consultation was good. Dr Sims was very informative and accommodating to all of my questions. He was playing his guitar when we arrived, it was very soothing. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had. My autistic son needs to have 4 teeth extracted and the office manager would not take 5 minutes to call into dentaqwest to get a authorization.

I do not recommend. 3 complaints: 1. They are very rude here. 2. I got my bottom wisdom teeth removed last October and I immediately felt a weird sensation on the left side of my tongue after getting the procedure done. After my one week follow-up, I told the doctor and the nurse and they said it was normal because it was recent and told me to wait a few more days or a week and that it would go away. However, over a year later, I STILL feel this very uncomfortable sensation in the same spot. I believe he messed with my nerves or something because I do not think this is going to go away. It’s been way too long and I still feel it. I’m really upset about that. 3. When I got the procedure done, I got extremely swollen, I was in excruciating pain (never have I experienced such pain, and I bled so much. Now, I believed this was normal considering it was a surgery/procedure. However, I do think a big contribution to such terrible pain & side effects is how rough they do they’re job. I believe he was not gentle enough with me and my tongue is evidence to prove that. Also, I have so many friends who have gotten their wisdom teeth removed and they told me they’re experience was not nearly as painful or bad as mine. Many of them said he were eating like normal within the first week. I couldn’t eat the first week and the second week it still hurt a lot to eat. As I mentioned before, I know those may be normal side effects of wisdom teeth extraction, but what happened to my tongue tells me otherwise and I am very upset about that because I wish I didn’t feel like this every second of every day. However, I am giving this establishment a two star rating because of the incredibly poor customer service skills and lack of empathy displayed by the front desk staff. Got three of my wisdom teeth out at separate times from Darrel B. Sims and everyone there is a sweetheart! I got the last two out in 2017 with no issues and then the latest one now on my upper right last Thursday. While the location is far from where I am, it was worth the recommendation from my family member! I did all of them without being put to sleep. In 2017 when I was getting it done he even had his dog there by the glass door! This time I had to get my upper wisdom tooth and adult tooth (shark tooth) that was growing behind my baby tooth out due to not being able to afford braces. While the price is a bit steep the 20% discount is helpful! This time I wasn't TOO much of a fan when they were getting my adult tooth out because he was tugging on my two front chompers but I wasn't in that much pain, just discomfort. I am going for a post-op checkup hopefully this week to make sure everythings good! I'm just a bit worried due to my baby tooth still being there and it feels a tiny bit wiggly but the girl said teeth can be mobile after trauma and an operation so hopefully shes right! Worst place ever!! I do not recommend. Got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out. Had local anesthetic. I payed $200 out of pocket because my insurance did not cover it. Day of extraction they numb the area and when they were taken out the top tooths I felt like I was being tortured. DO NOT!!! I REPEAT DO NOT go to this office! My daughter has special needs and needed her wisdom teeth out. We went for her first visit and despite clearly writing out her medical history including hearing loss the dentist never once looked at me to explain her procedure. He made us watch an out dated video and pretty much let them explain the process. That should have been a red flag but I gave them the benefit of the doubt because we had a difficult time finding someone to take my daughters insurance. We go in for her procedure and I ask if he will come to speak with me. The front office girl was extremely defensive and said “well weren’t you her to watch the video” I said yes but he never spoke to me directly to explain to me what exactly was going to be done. Also I wanted to ensure that they knew my daughters needs. NOPE he never came out... so they take her back and after about 5 minutes or so I hear a little commotion so I kept still to make sure it wasn’t my daughter. About 10 seconds later I hear a loud cry and scream! So I go to the girl at the front desk to ask if that is my daughter screaming and she said yes. So I asked her why is she in agony back there and can I go back to see if she’s ok. She said with a straight face “no one can go back there”! I hear her screaming again so I threatened to call the cops. So she immediately got up and went to the back so of course I’m looking and trying to hear what she’s telling them. Next thing I know the dental assistant is trying to tell me that my daughter is ok. Clearly she wasn’t because she’s crying. I’m telling her she’s not ok and as I’m speaking with the dental assistant my daughter comes out crying unable to speak clearly very distraught and scared with her mouth numb she's drooling! She told me that he was hurting her and she told him to stop and the dental ads kept telling her she was fine as she was screaming and that the dentist kept stretching her mouth open. She had tears on her lips and tongue. The staff was treating us like we did something wrong, they were rude. The dentist NEVER came out to see me they pretty much just kicked us out and already had my copay refunded before I even asked for it. Wow! They are rude and insensitive! Do not go there!!! We took our 9 yr old in for a tooth extraction under local anesthesia. We were not allowed in the procedure room during the administration of the anesthetic. Our 9 yr old felt pain and she raised her hand to let them know. They were very dangerous with our daughter. When they came to tell us that they would not be able to continue they were very rude and when told that it would be safer to have a parent in the room they became very defensive. Had all but 4 teeth removed in preparation for a liver transplant. Staff was wonderful. Dr sims doesn’t baby you ,but is very skilled. I was very pleased with the overall experience.

I was in the office yesterday and had my wisdom teeth pulled. The lidocaine or whatever they use to numb your mouth I had a bad allergic reaction to it and it wore off halfway through the operation. I told them to stop but they kept going. It has now been 24 hours and the right side of my mouth is swollen to the size of a football. I have no feeling in my tongue. Their bathroom is disgusting. There was pee all over the floor and the walls. I would not recommend going to this Dentist.

I brought my 12 yr old here for a tooth extraction. At first the office staff was nice and even though we were waiting in the dental chair for nearly 40 min they at least were acknowledging the long wait. The main issue I had with the office staff today was the fact that the topic numbing agent was placed and then the Dr didn't show up... 40 minutes later! I get he got stuck in another room with a patient; that part was understandable. However my daughter was no longer numb for her shot and the staff said, "She will be numbed more with a shot anyways. Don't worry!" With that said, I understand that the topical numbing is not necessary to receive the shot to numb her... but you have a 12 year old getting a tooth removed which is a scary thing as it is. They were not willing to add more numbing agent prior to the shot and I still had not seen the surgeon yet. I approached yet another staff expressing my concern with how we were being treated and was again blown off. Definitely do not take a child here. My daughter has been to the dentist and orthodontist and even though she fears dental work... she has been happy with those places and felt she was in good hands... however at Dr. Sims office she asked to leave. Staff are very friendly and helpfull, and the doctor is very informative, honest, and empathetic. Would recommend this doctor to anyone with TMJ problems or jawbone injuries.

Dr. Sims & the office staff are nice, friendly & helpful. The office is clean. He was recommended to us from my son’s dentist for a tooth removal. My son’s mouth is healed & it was all routine for the procedure. Just didn’t like that I had to wait in the waiting room the whole time. I would’ve preferred to be with my son until he went out,but they don’t allow that. I had to trust that he was referred from my son’s dentist.

Very rude staff, not informative or helpful at all. Had my teeth removed and no after car insteuctions and the only thing we got was to follow up in a week. A week passes by and Let's just say the last thin Dr.Simms said was "whatever" and walked out of the room. Do not suggest at all to anyone

Called the office for price quotes and the gal that I spoke to was very nice helped me right away and answered all my questions thoroughly. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone!

Very nice, professional office. Very calming. Brought both my teenage boys to have their wisdom teeth removed. Both the doctor and office staff were very informative. I would highly recommend going to see Dr. Sims!!

Had an extraction and bone graft. Very nervous, but everything went perfectly with no pain whatsoever. Slight discomfort only the first night, which was controlled by one Tylenol. Dr. and entire staff were very pleasant, friendly and professional. I felt very well taken care of. I would highly recommend Dr. Sims

Incredible bedside manners, very empathetic of anxiety. The entire staff was friendly and very patient with my questions and anxious fears of complications. I was scheduled to have nitrous gas but forgot I wasn't supposed to eat so I went without it. Luckily, Dr. Sims seems very familiar with dealing with anxious patients and he was very kind and gentle and explained everything he was doing as he did it, which made me feel very safe and informed. Dr. Sims and his staff are ridiculously friendly and empathetic of those with anxiety disorders. Dr. Sims' bedside manner was the best I've ever personally encountered. He was warm, friendly, and explained everything he was doing as he did it to help relieve my anxiety, which it did. I unfortunately forgot I couldn't eat or drink before having nitrous, so I ended up not taking it, but even without it, the personality, empathy and kindness of Dr. Sims and his staff soothed my anxiety completely.

Very nice staff and clean office!!

EXTREMELY NICE AND HELPFUL! The burses were very considerate and caring. The doctor was very professional, efficient, and understanding. I had all FOUR of my wisdom teeth removed from Dr. Sims when I was 19 (currently 23) and I was in and out within 15 minutes. I bled for no more than 5 hours! Was so happy I got it done before enlisting in the Military because my fellow personnel ended up getting theirs removed in boot camp and suffered for 2 days of bleeding.
