David Chalnick

Dr Chalnick recently performed a non-routine complex hip replacement surgery which resulted in a wonderful outcome. I strongly recommend Dr Chalnick to anyone requiring hip replacement surgery. My post operative recovery went extremely well and I feel wonderful and grateful to have found such a highly skilled surgeon. The office staff was always friendly, and his surgical coordinator was organized and extremely helpful. I can't say enough about my personal experience.

Dr. Chalnick operated on me for total left knee replacement in March of 2017. I have since seen him for gel injections pertaining to my arthritic right knee. He’s concerned about his patients and with very professional with great talent which makes him top in his field and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone needing knee surgery and, in fact, I have many times.

First off I am 2 years into have my total left knee replaced by Dr Chalnick. Couldn’t be more unhappy with the results! My range of motion is very limited and have lots of pain. Before setting surgery I went through the typical extended period of (many months) of office visits etc. I did all the per-therapy, lubricant shots, cortisone shots etc. had all the X-rays and MRI’s done for review of my damaged knee.. Set up and had the surgery Dec 2019 with Chalnick. The day/morning after surgery Chalnick stands over my bed and says all went well but.. I needed to put in a “big boy” knee replacement! That’s all he said.. didn’t explain what “big boy” meant just that is is a larger implant but nothing about the limitations I still encounter now. Through my 8-9 months of seeing Chalnick he never once mentioned different size knee replacement/ sizes! Three / four months after surgery my knee bend/extension was terrible. Needed to have a MUA / manipulation done.. not fun and not happy. Beware

Dr.Chalnick answered all my questions thoroughly during my pre op visit. He sensed my uneasiness(first surgery) and quickly put me at ease. He is professional and caring as well.

Dr. Chalnick Performed a total knee replacement in August 2020. It is my 1 year anniversary of this surgery and I would have to say everything was perfect. The surgery and the recovery. I highly recommend Dr. Chalnick!

Dr. Chalnick performed a total left hip replacement for me about 2.5 weeks ago. I had no pain or bruising post op; only some soreness and tightness. He is an exceedingly abundant and beyond skilled and knowledgeable surgeon. He is also extremely thorough in his work. He is very good at listening to my concerns and putting me at ease while answering all my questions. He is an amazing and dedicated doctor who truly cares about his patients. I am so blessed to have him as my surgeon. I waited seven years before I met with Dr Chalnick because I didn’t think I needed the replacement. Then within three weeks my hip deteriorated quickly so as I couldn’t put weight on it and was forced to use a cane to stand or walk. I am so thankful that I found Dr Chalnick and he was able to do the surgery for me. If you are in pain or are just having tightness in the hip flexor and groin like me, then do not hesitate to make an appointment today with Dr Chalnick. He is awesome! Let him help you.

Dr. Chalnick is in my opinion the best Orthopedic Surgeon in Monmouth and Ocean County. He just replaced a hip and 17 yrs. ago did a knee replacement. I just recommended him ta family member. He takes time to explain procedures and explains all your questions.

Dr.Chalnik is an amazing surgeon! He did a total left hip replacement on me due to a congenital anomaly and actually restored my leg length. It was nothing short of a miracle.

I have bursitis in both hips with a touch of arthritis. The Dr. told me about cortisone shots and asked if I wanted to go that way. He also recommended Physical therapy and asked me if I wanted to continue with it. He's very easy to talk to and listens to you!

I had to wait a while to see the doctor but once he was in the room with me, it was well worth it. He treated me as though I was the only patient he had that day. I had an amazing experience. I had a total knee replacement 6 weeks ago and I am doing fantastic. No more cane and back driving. Dr. Chalnick was so pleased when he saw me and said "I do not need to see you until next year."

While other reviewers required surgery, Dr. Chalnick recommended I'm healing on my own rather well and did not need it. Explained what I needed to do to fully recover and what not to do to make the situation worse. Very personable and friendly on top of being knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
