Dr. Dunn in my honest opinion is a very professional and caring doctor. i see him at least twice a year and have never had issues from him or the staff, considering i've been a patient for 7 years i'd say that's much more than above average. I went to Dr. Dunn after going to several other doctors trying to solve my medical mystery. I had MRIs, CT scans, blood work, seen a neurologist, seen an ENT, and been to the ER trying to figure out what I had. We told Dr. Dunn that we suspected I had Myasthenia Gravis because my symptoms almost completely matched and we were willing to have any tests done to diagnose me. He immediately shut down the idea of MG saying that my symptoms didn’t match and that I experienced symptoms all day long even with rest. He ordered more MRIs which came back normal (just like all my other ones). He also told us that it felt like he was the only one actually putting in work trying to figure this out (meaning that myself and my grandma were sitting at home just waiting for him to solve this). We gave up with this doctor, found a new one, and told him we suspected MG. He immediately agreed, ordered the test I needed and I was diagnosed within 2 weeks. If Dr. Dunn had listened to his patient’s concerns and considered the thought that we had done enough research, I could’ve been diagnosed 3 months ago and I could’ve started the medicine before I got worse (it had gotten to the point where my legs would give out on themselves and I would fall, usually hitting my head. I also lost 20+ lbs and my BMI dropped to 16.3). Do not waste your time or offer your own input when discussing with Dr. Dunn. Find another primary care doctor.

This office consistently dropped the ball sharing results, sending prescriptions to the pharmacy, and handling pre-authorizations with the insurance company. They seemed to not work well with any other offices. When issues persisted the office struggled to figure out how to address them-telling me to schedule (and pay for) another appointment with Dr. Dunn (that wasn’t medically necessary or addressing any medical needs)-when I argued that insurance wouldn’t pay for that they said “well you are taking up his time.” When I suggested they see if the doctor was willing to speak with me about getting the results from my last visit or figuring out why he didn’t have them (they lost some test results, and had failed to notify me that this was the case for over a week when I kept calling to check in) they said he refused to speak to me without charging the fee for a visit. There is a consistent pattern of dropping the ball on our families medical care with no option for resolution other than us redoing procedures or following up with them to make sure they take care of things-if you choose to go with this office make sure you always follow up with them daily for pre-authorizations, if you don’t get testing results, or if your pharmacy is having issues getting prescriptions. Excellent Doctor. He is mindful of treatment costs. He really cares about his patients.

Went in for pain in my shoulder, never asked range of motion or anything.

I had been going to a Doctor in Mansfield and I live inBurleson now So was looking for a new doctor here close. Looked at all the Ratings and Picked Dr Dunn He seemed nice and wanted too do my blood work to get all my meds refilled. BUT every time I turned around he was wanting me too do a urine test or blood test too get my sleeping pills refills and wouldn’t give me the ones my other dr was giving me. So he put me on two different kinds but didn’t work so wanted to go back to the ones I had before that did and he would never prescribe them to me so I was going without I call his nurse and she told me it’s in his box and the pharmacy Would let me know if he fill them back and forth he never did and didn’t care and the Nurse acted like I she couldn’t can’t ask him to the the problem why. So I found a new doctor that took care of there patients and answered questions so my suggestion to anyone that doesn’t want to have to keep taking blood work or urine test And not have to go back and forth with your doctor to get your meds and spend out of your pocket for these test stay away from him. Just FYI I never had to take blood work only on my 6 month visit Unless there was something wrong but not to take every time for your meds. Made me fill like he thought I was taking i illegal drugs or something to keep checking me. And I have low T and didn’t want to do anything about it. Dr. David Dunn has been my PCP for a little over 5 years, I have nothing negative to say about Him or his staff...very deserving of all 5 stars.

Dr. Dunn is the most unprofessional, arrogant, rude, ignorant physician I have ever had the unfortunate pleasure of experiencing. As a medical professional myself, I do not take these type of reviews lightly; however, I feel it is my responsibility to let the public know how horrible this doctor is. Dr. Dunn has already had action taken against him from the medical board for medical malpractice for administering narcotics without examining the patients. This is all public record... feel free to investigate on your own. I guess this is the reason he treats all of his patients like they are drug seekers. My 65 year old father went to his office for severe pain a WEEK after having major open heart surgery. His surgeon told him to see his primary doctor for a narcotic prescription for the pain (this is normal practice for a surgeon due to laws involving schedule II and III narcotics.) When he went to see Dr Dunn, my dad was treated like he was a drug seeker off the street looking for a fix, even though he was an established patient with Dr Dunn and has no history of ever even smoking a cigarette! Dr. Dunn proceeded to tell him "you shouldn't even be hurting a week after your surgery!" Are you kidding me?! He had open heart surgery, he didn't have his gall bladder taken out!!! He has a 9 inch incision down the middle of his chest, they cracked his sternum open, and wired him back together 7 days ago, but he's not supposed to hurt?! This statement alone shows his pure ignorance!! Not to mention, never once did Dr Dunn assess my father during this appointment! He never laid hands on him... didn't listen to his heart, NOTHING!!!! Come to find out, the reason my dad was hurting so badly was due to a Sternal Dehiscence!!! As I type this review, we are back at the hospital waiting for him to come out of surgery AGAIN to correct this!!! This could have caught and corrected 4 weeks ago and a lot of pain could have been avoided on my dads part had Dr Dunn taken the time to actually assess his patient like a real doctor would or just do something as simple as listen to my dad and address his pain!!!! Truly one of my favorite doctors! He is smart as a whip but still has a great bedside manner. My husband and I can't believe we are fortunate enough to have him in Crowley, and that he is so welcoming of self-pay patients. He always takes the time to listen to all our symptoms, asks detailed follow-up questions, and never makes us feel rushed or hurried. He also gives options for treatment and empowers the patient rather than ascribing to a single right way to approach an issue. He comes across as a doctor who appreciates the complexity of each individual patient. Truly one of my favorite doctors! He is smart as a whip but still has a great bedside manner. Dr. Dunn is very engaged and patient. He makes me feel like I'm his only patient. Love him!

Love this doctor!!! He takes his time to explain what's going on, and actually listens. The front desk staff is always welcoming and friendly with each visit.
