NEVER HAVE I EVER ......Had an experience like the experience I had with Dr. Kang. I wish I could give him 5 more stars! I am a 49 (47 at time of surgery) yo woman. I had a huge goiter on my right side. It had grew into my chest cavity causing deadly issues. We had a very hard time getting someone to help me because of how the goiter laid inside. In almost a week, after trying to find a skilled surgeon, Dr. Kang came in and saved my whole life!!! I have other health issues that were causing so much damage....very sensitive case. I was so afraid but he assured me and my husband that he could assist us. And he DID THAT! I am eternally grateful for your assistance! You saved my life!!!! Thank you!

Working with Dr Kang was a pleasure. Very informative and throughly explained my condition and my surgery before starting treatment, essential for someone that English is not their first language. Thanks Dr Kang.

Impressive! I consulted several surgeons to remove a precancerous lesion from my tongue. From the moment I met Dr. Kang I had 100% faith in him. I traveled from Green Bay, WI to see him a couple weeks ago and had my procedure today! Dr. Kang is brilliant but even more exceptional is his commitment to caring for his patients. This evening I am staying in a hotel and had few concerns. He gave me a couple ideas and my situation improved quickly. Dr. Kang performed a enlarged thyroid removal surgery on my mother. His bedside manor skills and the intentional patience he took to spend with her and I each time we saw him was beyond exceptional compared to all of our previous experiences with other medical professionals. His choice to be thorough with his patience education and his consent practices is "the way" that should be standard policy in every medical interaction with all medical fields and experiences. I had to have a total thyroidectomy. And , although it was a major surgery and I was a bit scared, Dr. Kang was amazing! He took time with me before surgery to explain what he was going to do as well as ensure I was aware of all risks. He made me feel very confident and comfortable going into surgery the day of as well. His staff was also amazing and, they sent over an excellent info packet via email to give me all pre-op instructions. I had a question, and when I called, Jessica made sure to get me the information I needed, and she made me feel like no matter what else she may have been busy doing, I was important. In addition to Dr. Kang's office staff, the staff at the hospital was so great and they took phenomenal care of me after the surgery. Shocking treatment. Unbelievably negative experience. A doctor/patient relationship is built on trust and follow through. My son was referred to Dr. Kang for a tongue biopsy. The doctor took 10 mm of his tongue while he was sitting in a chair in an examination room and told him he should be able to eat and drink normally 10 min later. He was released from the doctors office with no pain medicine, no antibiotic and no instructions for aftercare just a ziplock bag of gauze. When the anesthesia wore off my son was in extraordinary pain and couldn’t open his mouth. We called the office first thing the next day and they weren’t interested in taking a look at the biopsy site. His assistant said if you think this is bad just wait until half the tongue is removed. More than 10 days have past, and my son went to a different hospital, was treated for 2 days for dehydration and double digit weight loss from trying to eat and drink via a syringe. As of today we still have no pathology report to confirm he has cancer. Dr. Kang was rude and had a ton of animosity towards my son and me — shouting over me on the phone After finally returning a week of urgent calls, he said “I already told you he has cancer, what else do you want?” Does that sound like a caring Doctor? He told someone they probably have CANCER not a case of dandruff! The patient says they’re in continuous pain and can’t eat or drink but all the doctor wants to know is where you’re going to have your surgery and if you filed for Medicaid? I wouldn’t take my dog to a vet who behaved so unprofessionally. Seek him for care at your own risk. And be sure to have plenty of insurance because he will treat you like this if you don’t. Dr. Kang is much more than just a doctor. He is much more than a good doctor. He is a doctor that actually listens to and cares for his patients. So much so, that you sometimes wish you had another issue just so you could have some more time with him. Doctors like him do not come along every day. My wife had huge goiters growing on her thyroid that actually started growing down into her chest. They also wrapped around her esophagus and narrowed her airway. She was admitted to Medical City Plano which also was an awesome place, however the doctors there were confident that they could not perform her surgery. They really helped search for a surgeon all over. The search was not going very well which had my wife very scared and discouraged. Then God sent this man. He was honest from the beginning and delivered everything he said he could and even some things he himself was unsure of- because there of course can be little to no guarantees with surgeries. I would recommend this man to anyone and everyone as he is way more than qualified. I don't care for doctors because most lack honesty, a good bedside manner amongst a laundry list of other negative observations. I never once had a bad feeling about him. I never once felt that I needed to cuss him out (which I am known to do). I appreciate him and his unmatched skills more than words can say. So many others could learn alot from him. Dr. Kang repaired my esophagus at a time when I didn’t think it would be possible. He is absolutely the best surgeon…. He spent time with me during my hospital stay and in my follow-ups & explained everything….. I never felt rushed. He was interested in my personal life too, which is rare. Dr. Kang is incredible. He has changed my life! I have had two surgeries from him after shattering my eye socket, breaking my nose and requiring nasal surgery. It took 5 surgeries to make me look normal again. Dr. Kang did 2 of those surgeries including the 5th one that completely changed my life forever. I used to look like a monster and sometimes wonder if my wife divorced me because of the injury. Dr. Kang made me look like myself again and I even started dating again because of him completing some successful surgeries on me to make me look like my old self again. I was expecting to have 6 surgeries but I truly believe he took extra time on my face during the 5th surgery to eliminate the 6th surgery. I 100% Recommend Dr. Kang. I came to him in really rough shape, morbidly obese with some benign cyst in my jaw. Dr. Kang was confident from the first moment that this surgery would be a success. He was able to remove the portion of my jaw effected and placed some of my hip and some titanium to form my new jaw. Dr. Kang was professional, personal and caring from beginning to end. Dr. Kang and his office staff have shown great competence and personable, caring service. Dr. Kang performed restorative surgery on my ear after another surgery to remove skin cancer. The result is wonderful! I highly recommend him!

Recently I had the most incredible surgery journey in which a portion of my sun damaged nose was removed by my dermatologist and Dr. David R. Kang was given the task of putting me back together. Prior to the removal surgery, I met with Dr. Kang. We immediately connected and I had complete confidence in him and his capabilities. Dr. Kang performed two surgeries on my face. The first was a skin flap to cover the hole on the left side of my nose. The second was a month later to remove the flap. My analogy of the latter procedure is, "I went from a caterpillar to a butterfly, at the hands of Dr. Kang, in less than an hour". (See pictures below.) Dr. Kang has charisma, compassion, understanding and incredible surgery skills; he's a one-of-a kind doctor! I feel completely blessed and fortunate that Dr. Kang and I crossed paths. I fractured my upper jaw due to a forceful fall onto our concrete driveway. Upon meeting Dr. Kang I felt almost as if we knew each other already, due to his easy and friendly manner — accompanied by his warm reassurance that I was going to be fine. I immediately felt I was in good hands. He said, "Let's see if we can work you in for surgery this week." Which he and Jessica did. It's been little more than two weeks after the surgery and the healing has been amazingly fast. I can't help but think that is due in good measure to Dr. Kang's skills and knowledge, which channel through his warmth and caring. Dr Kang was nice and hospitable. But his billing and office admin are less than helpful. I met him 2x in October and November 2018, today is Feb 13, 2019. No bill ever received. Jessica is the office coordinator. I called to get a statement a few weeks ago. She told the Billing dept to send me a statement. So I now got the statement with no information on how to pay. But how do I pay the bill? No name on statement, (just my name), no contact info. When I called Jessica again today - she kept telling me that I asked for A STATEMENT not a bill. Well Hello....how come nobody sent me a bill? Then she rudely said I needed to talk to the billing dept, not her. HELLO my point is, the doctor is losing money if the patient doesn't get a bill. How is it a patient had to call a few times just to get a bill and pay? I said the doctor is losing money if the patient doesn't pay. She won't hear any of it and just say I need to call the billing dept. I am sad his office coordinator doesn't care about Dr Kang getting payment or not. At least she should have told Dr Kang about my concern (not getting a bill) instead of just being rude to me and saying "you need to talk to the billing dept" I can't send an email directly to Dr Kang, either. Dr. King and Dr. Vu When we learned that I had stage 2 tongue cancer on March 23, 2018, we did not waste time with the next step. Dr. Martinez in Sulphur Springs, Tx had already contacted Dr. Kang’s office. We met with Dr. Kang and Dr. Vu within a couple of days of the diagnosis. They set my surgery for April 4, 2018. The time between seeing Dr. Kang and Dr. Vu was full of x-rays, heart appt, and scans. We learned a lot about my cancer and the invasive procedures that would be in the coming days. Early in 2016 I was diagnosed with a squamous cell carcinoma of the tongue. I received a recommendation to contact Dr. Kang. Dr. Kang saw me immediately and recommended surgery to remove the carcinoma and check for a spread of the disease. Dr. Kang and his team performed the surgery and found nothing else except the infected area which was removed. I don't know where to begin about Dr. Kang. Obviously he is a marvelous Doctor and Surgeon. He makes himself available to me for as long as I need to explain the situation and answer my questions. He has a hopeful and personable manner that helps me navigate through this most stressful time of life. He is about the one and only neck specialist who accepts all insurance - including the Marketplace! Dr. Kang handled my case with compassion and knowledge never rushing me through appointments. His bedside manner is sincere , calming and his medical abilities are off the charts great. His assistant at the office is Jessica and she is one of if not the greatest multitaskers I have ever met. I feel so fortunate that I found Dr. Kang. He has now saved my life twice. First, he did an awesome job of removing my oral cancer, then reconstructing my mouth using my own tissue. During the whole process of getting me into surgery quickly, and following me closely afterward, I always felt that he was there for me 100%. When I had those post surgery paranoid panics, he was always there to reassure me, even if it meant seeing me very early in the morning at his office, or taking a text late at night. Jessica, in his office, is awesome, always dealing with insurance and making my scan appointments. She has handled everything, I just have to show up. He ordered a PET scan at my two year mark, all was well in my head and neck area, but the scan found a Stage 1 (not related to my oral cancer) lobular breast cancer, that probably wouldn’t have been picked up on a mammogram for quite some time, he and Jessica quickly facilitated me getting all the necessary scans and biopsies that were needed, before I was able to get into my breast cancer surgeon. My husband's treatment was at Methodist Dallas - and he could not have possibly received better care. Dr. Kang, was and is an amazing Dr. He removed my peritid gland, as well as a malignant tumor that was attached. I am cancer free for a year and there is really no sign of the surgery on my face neck or stomach. His bed side manner is like no other. While I was seeing my oncologist it got a bit sticky and when he found out about what was going on, he gave a new and wonderful oncologist and has been not only my Dr. but a friend. I am so grateful for him I really have no words or even a monumental enough gesture that I could show my gratitude. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Kang and his staff. When I was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in my tongue, they made sure to get me in fast and get me booked for surgery even faster! Less than a week after the biopsy results, the tumor was removed from my tongue. It was determined after that I would need a follow up surgery to remove lymph nodes from my neck for biopsy. They took such care to make the incision in a natural crease in my neck that nobody can even tell I had surgery!! And my tongue has healed so well and was treated with such precision that I needed little to no speech therapy to recover. He truly has a gift. I felt sure within minutes of meeting him that I was in the right hands. Every person I ran into, from fellow surgeons to hospital staff, had nothing but good things to say and freely offered their praise! His bedside manner with not only me, but my husband and family members, was always honest and informative and put us at ease. Dr. Kang is an amazing doctor specializing in oral cancer. He has been treating one of my family members for potential cancer on their tongue. He is so knowledgeable, explains everything very simply and seems to know the latest research in the area. He also seems to care personally about his patients. Since the date of my husband's first appointment with Dr. Kang, we have literally thanked God for him every day. Dr Kang saved my uncle's life (stage 4 jaw cancer). He is knowledgeable, skilled and the kindest doctor I have ever encountered. Dr. David can was wonderful. I had had a cyst removal surgery twice before seen him. Even though the previous two doctors could not get the job done he did. Most incredible doctor in the world. I know that’s a bold statement and I can only base it on the few hundred doctors I have met in my life. But, I feel very confident in my declaration. I found out that I had a cancerous tumor at Thanksgiving and by Christmas it was gone. I told him that I had no insurance and no money to speak of and he dismissed my concerns with only the desire to save a life. It might not seem like much to some people but, living in such a pessimistic time with narcissistic people it speaks volumes. I saw the loving face of God in the actions that Dr. Kang and his staff took to help me and my family. I have been blessed so many times in my life and this one stands out among them all. Dr. David Kang and Dr. David Vu are the most amazing doctors we have ever encountered in our lives. They are always professional and extremely caring and compassionate. My husband was diagnosed with Stage IV squamous cell carcinoma of the right mandible in July 2017. Dr. Kang has operated on my husband 5 times in the span of a 9 month period -- 2 of which were extremely complicated and lengthy surgeries. My husband is cancer free! His radiation oncologist was completely speechless when he observed the extensive work in Kelly's mouth. The oncologist said, "These doctors really are hotshots!" He then called his nurse over to observe the remarkable work and the fibula/pectoral muscle flap in Kelly's mouth. We are so thankful to God first, and then to Dr. Kang and Dr. Vu who are obviously God gifted surgeons and wonderful human beings. We hate going to doctors; however, we look so forward to seeing Dr. Kang and Dr. Vu. They take the fear completely out of the terrifying circumstances. I was charged the total amount for the consultation even after my health insurance had paid the claim, although he is an in network provider. Dr Kang removed a large cancer from my dads face and restored it with a skin graft. He did such beautiful work and really gave my dad a reason to continue to fight. His manners and pleasant personality really helped the overall experience.

Dr. Kang is an awesome Doctor. I had a major surgery I needed. Other doctor told me they couldn't do nothing for me. Well Dr. Kang was able to do surgery and he did an awesome job. Jessica his nurse is really awesome and respectful. Thank you for awesome service.

After interviewing several surgeons to remove my Ameloblastoma tumor, Dr. Kang was an easy choice. Dr kang is AWESOME!!! I had a bad accident with a chainsaw and got knocked out of a tree and landed face first. Dr kang did surgery and replaced the right side of my face with 3 plates and is looking like nothing ever happened. He is very grounded and has a very professional bedside manner. He explained everything before the surgery which gave me a lot of confidence. Thank you dr kang!!!!

Beware! Dr Kang double charged for my consultation. I went to him because he was an in network provider. When I arrived I paid my co pay. Aetna Medicare Advantage paid the rest of the fee. In spite of being paid, Dr Kang charged me the cost of the consultation after the procedure was done.. Aetna and I have been trying to recoup my $127 for weeks to no avail. The office will not let us speak to the billing department, and are non responsive to both my insurance representatives and me.

Awesome physician ! Following a motorcycle accident with cranial fracture and open scalp wound, Dr. Kang conducted surgery to repair the wound and to insure that proper scalp tissue adequately protected the area. Dr. Kang's communication skills and follow up sessions were excellent which was assuring to my spouse and I. Results were superb.
