Horrible!! Took my son for his 2 month visit. The doctor came in with his laptop, sat down and just started reading off things as if checking things off of a list. I raised some concerns about his 2 month requirements and he became very upset and was not able to give me any answers. Instead he was very condescending and unhelpful! In fact, he made me feel bad for even having concerns. He also advised me that due to my concerns specifically about vaccinations for my child I would be kicked out of the practice and I would need to find a new doctor for my 2 month old son because him and his practice would no longer take care of him. I am so very Disappointed that providers like this exist especially in healthcare! He said his priority was the health of my son but yet he dropped him from ever returning for care. I thought doctors take a hippo oath to help everyone yet he refuses to help my son due to concerns I have that are contrary to his. He walked out of the room slammed the door and didn’t return. What a horrible and rude doctor.

Dr walked in the room and asked my daughter what grade she was in. My daughter thought he asked her which ear hurt (as we were there for her ear feeling clogged and a bad cough) and she points to her ear that bothered her. To which he replied so rudely “I SAID WHAT GRADE ARE YOU IN?” My daughter looked so embarrassed. I told him my concerns but he was fixed on his laptop not really interacting with my daughter or myself. He didn’t even prescribe her anything after stating she had an ear infection and that she sounded congested upon listening to her breathing. He just walked out the room. First time experiencing something like this at this hospital. Everyone is usually super friendly.

The guy is a fraud. He pushes unnecessary vaccines on you and your baby with no professional reasoning behind it other than “you will die” if you don’t take it. Very condescending and unsympathetic. He’s obviously sold out to big pharma and could care less about you and your baby’s health.

My 5 year old and I were turned away for being 1 min late. I had a horrible experience today (2/14/2023) with Dr Matusiak at Edward Elmhurst. I arrived at the Hospital five minutes early for my sons appointment. The parking lot was completely full and it took 10mins to find parking on the other side of the hospital. My son and I still made it to the pediatric center and arrived within the 15 min grace period. When we arrived the staff person working front desk was taking care of a billing concern that took 3-4 minutes to resolve. My son and I approached the desk at 11:01, one minute late and we were turned away by Dr Matusiak. This experience was unprofessional and blatantly inconsiderate. When I called to file a complaint every representative I spoke to had a clear understanding of the parking issues related to EEH and said that, “as long as I was inline before the grace period ended my son should have been seen.” Dr Matusiak if this is the level of care and concern you provide for Black children then it’s fair to assume you are careless.

Dr. Matusiak is great. I am a first time mom and he has given me the best tips and advice. I always have a list of questions to ask and he takes time and patience to answer all of them.

Horrible!! Spoke to him when he was the on call doctor regarding my child and was very condescending and unhelpful! In fact, made me feel bad for even calling. Disappointed providers like this exist especially in healthcare!

Always very nice, always making sure if we have any questions. Explaining and making sure we understand the care our child receives. Very hands on

Dr. Matusiak is the best pediatrician, and the entire staff is helpful and kind. I've never had a bad experience, and my children's appointments are always quick and efficient.

Dr. Matusiak has looked after our boy since day one. He’s kind, caring and genuinely has the parents and babe in mind with his clinical decisions. Our son had a rough start getting his bilirubin under control. We felt very confident in Dr. Matusiak and Edward/Elmhurst team to take great care of our son. Dr. Matusiak answers all questions and takes the time to explain everything. We never feel rushed or just another patient when in his care. Overall, we feel very fortunate to have him. He is always pleasant, engaging, respectful and makes sure you have everything you need in care.

Been coming to Dr. Matusiak for my 2 kids for 17 years. Good doctor with the kids. My problem is that we have been referred 3 times out of network and have had to foot the bill. When brought up, the office comment was "Too Bad". That did not sit well with us. They need to quit referring paople to other hospitals and out-of network offices. I can't believe Elmhurst doesn't have the office refer people within the Elmhurst Hospital realm.

He is the best. Straight shooter.

Dr. Matusiak has been my 3 kids pediatrician since they were born. All 3 are now in college! He is wonderful, attentive, caring and professional. It was very comforting to know he was there for my family when my kids were sick. I trusted him with my children’s well being and would do it all over again.
