As usual Dr. SHELNITZ is the ultimate professional. My visit was quick. I am sorry to hear Dr. SHELNITZ is retireing.

Great doctor, I have seen her for 24 years. So sorry to hear she is retiring, but wish her well.

She is always personal and professional. A quality not normally found in this day and age. She is a great listener and always answers any and all question that may arise during an examination. She is to be recognized for her care and treatment. Even during the difficult times of a diagnosis she remains very focused and provides thorough treatment plan expectations. Dr. Shelnitz was recommended by a friend many years ago and I have been very satisfied with all my visits there. Always explains everything and is pro active to avoid any serious conditions being overlooked.

Went with my mom -a senior. Dr. Shelnitz is professional and thoughtful. Explained everything well to my mom. Took her time and gave a thorough and complete examination.

Honestly a complete waste of time/ money to see Lori Schelnitz. I saw her twice about a rash that I didn’t know the cause (no diet changes, changes to laundry detergent or fabric softener, body wash etc). After the first visit she prescribed a topical cream. At the second visit I expressed to her that the cream helped only to an extent and the rash was popping up in new places. She just prescribed a second cream and sent me on my way. Between the two appointments I probably spent less than 15 minutes with her, she always seemed to be rushing through my appointments to get them done as fast as she could. Showed absolutely no interest in finding out the cause of my rash even though I had expressed my concerns that with the first cream the problem was still persisting. I will not be returning.

this time, as always, excellent. Have been with Dr. Shelnitz for approximately 20 years. Have a history of skin cancer. Always pleased with her recommendations for how to proceed in each incident.

Excellent experience. Prompted to complete an electronic check in prior to arrival. Was in an out from a skin check and removal in less than 20 minutes. This was a repeat visit for me to her. If I need a dermatologist again in the future I will see her for sure. Thanks Dr. Shelnitz!

I was a new patient and my first time meeting her. I paid a $40.00 co-pay for a visit that lasted less than 3 minutes. I hoped she would have looked at a few other spots or skin tags I was concerned about. She really didn't seem to interested in listening to my concerns. She seemed very preoccupied.

I was in an out in just a couple of minutes. She briefly looked at the skin lesion I had, and misdiagnosed it.

Friendly, courteous, expert health care.

First time meeting this doctor. Was not concerned about fungus on toe nails or body rash that was worsening. Only concern to freeze what appeared to her as pre cancerous spots at $179 for first area and $119 for the second area. Each area took only 2 second and was charged as a surgical procedure. My thought would be any abnormal area would be addressed.

Horrible listener! She stopped me from talking probably <10 seconds into my trying to explain what had already been tried; only to start telling me some generic speech she seems to have ready for anyone with my condition. It was info I already knew & irrelevant to the reason I had gone to see her. I had heard both dermatologists in this practice are bad but with my HMO I did not want to pay more to see the dermatologist my PCP had recommended. Big mistake!!! It was a waste of my time & copay.

I pointed out a spot on my leg to Dr Shelnitz and told her it was tender. She said it was nothing. Two months later I went to a new Dermatologist not associated with Elmhurst Memorial. That spot is squamous cancer. I was also billed as an outpatient by Elmhurst Memorial in addition to being billed by Dr. Shelnitz.
