I went to his office two times and on each visit his receptionist asked for my co-pay. I told her that my insurance had no co-pay for opthalmologist, but she insisted that I pay, which I refused. On the third visit I brought a copy of the payment that my insurance paid and it showed that my co-pay was zero, but she said that apparently my insurance company paid my co-pay for me and then she again insisted that I pay a co-pay. Needless to say, I walked out on the office and never came back. I think it was his wife who was working the desk and not a regular attendant, but in any case,I will never go back to him!

Excellent experience! I saw Dr Cummins for the first time. He was a very kind, thorough and knowledgeable doctor who explained everything. Excellent care and great receptionist! Highly recommended

In my experience, Dr. Cummins is a caring, efficient, and polite doctor but the same does not go for his office staff in the Ossining reception and billing departments. The last time I had an appointment, they did not inform me that they had stopped taking my insurance and allowed the consultation to proceed out-of-network. If I had known, I would have cancelled. Subsequent phone calls to the office after I received the bill were answered in a very rude and unhelpful manner. Very happy that I was able to get an appointment on short notice to address my eye issues - Found the office secretary to be very accommodating and pleasant - - Dr. Cummins answered my questions, put my mind to rest as to the health of my eyes. Will be going back for annual checkup next year - Would highly recommend.

Extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent bedside manner. Great treatment advice and follow up.

Received 3 scripts, 2 of which were dated 2018. No big deal. Called office to have corrected scripts faxed so we could order contacts. Was told that wasn't possible and we had to wait a week until doc returned from vacation. Upon his return they called and said the scripts were faxed. We went to the location to order our lenses and were told that they only received 2 of the scripts. I phoned the office told them that only 2 of the scripts were here and asked them if they would fax the 3rd script over. Was told nope, only 2 of the scripts were not dated correctly. So I had to drive back home. Totally unacceptable and I told her that. To make matters worse we were billed an extra $40 and just received a call asking for payment. Our check was deposited by Dr. Cummins 2 weeks ago. Stay away from this practice!!!

Wonderful experience! My train was delayed and the receptionist was so kind about me being late. Of course I didn’t have a cash or check only card and she allowed me to mail my check the next day. On top of this Dr. Cummings was kind and fixed my prescription for me! The best!

My wife recently brought her mother to see Dr.Cummins as she had experienced a sudden vision loss in her left eye. Dr. Cummins saw her in his office on a weekend,after hours, and because of his prompt treatment and care, my mother has now fully regained her sight in her left eye. I highly recommend Dr. Cummins

My father has been a patient of Dr. Cummins for a rather long time. Although he had encountered an issue with the receptionist, Dr. Cummins was quick to step in and ensure that the issue was resolved in a professional, and timely manner. He rescheduled the appointment with my father and was very attentive and made sure that everything was taken care of. Most certainly recommend him for your opthmalogy needs. As a commercial pilot I went to Doc Cummins to ensure my eyes were clearing up. It doesn't get more critical than the eyes for a pilot. He was extremely thoughtful and deliberate in his evaluate and communicated clearly about his assessment. I felt extremely comfortable and would strongly recommend Doc Cummins, if you want to ensure your eyes are looked after by the best.

I have been a patient of Dr. Cummins fro many years. He has taken such good care of me, even seeing me several times after hours because of my busy work schedule, that i brought my family to see him recently when they returned from overseas.They both were also impressed. He is a very nice person and an excellent doctor.

I do NOT recommend him. When it came to giving me my prescription for my glasses, he gave me the completely wrong prescription! He was telling me my eyes got worse, when they got better. I had the glasses made & that's when I realized he screwed up big time. Got an exam from the place I bought glasses & they were wonderful, gave me right script.Called his office to let them know, lady at front desk (his wife) was completely rude! Gave me attitude & basically was like "um what do u want me to do"

For routine exams he was ok. When only 2 months later I had a serious problem on Saturday, and his office and I tried to reach him, he never answered his phone. His assistant dismissed my problem as a "simple irritation." When I saw Dr. Cummins 2 days later, he sent me to a specialist who told me that the damage could have been prevented if it was addressed promptly. His indifference to my problem cost me partial permanent loss of vision. A good doctor is one who responds when you need him!

Outstanding; used him for over ten years. Has MD and Phd. Speaks clearly and directly . Very responsive.

I'm a type one diabetic. The annual eye exam was through and he is a great doctor. They also offer a fixed, reasonable price for annual exams for people who don't have a vision plan that covers the exam. A pleasure!

Only open Mondays and Fridays. The receptionist extremely rude for no reason.

I will never see anyone else except Dr. Cummins! He is beyond an excellent eye doctor. Takes his time for each patient and explains everything carefully and distinctly. I recommend to all my friends and all my family members see him. He is beyond a 5 star rating....he's a 10!
