Dr. Della Schmid

Dr. Schmid is warm, knowledgeable, compassionate and takes time with each of her patients. I had never been to a chiropractor in my life and my back pain has virtually disappeared since I started treatment.

I have been dealing for years with neck/shoulder tension and headaches. I was hesitant to go to a chiropractor because of the stories you hear about having to lock in several visits and payments before the doctor even starts treatment. NOT THE CASE with Dr. Schmid! On my first visit she told me the goal was to teach me self management. The day after that first treatment Dr Schmid called me personally to see how I was feeling, I was impressed! In less than 2 months I am 100% and I now have the tools to counteract any stiffness/tension. I’m very appreciative for Dr Schmid changing my perception of chiropractic therapy. Contacted my insurance company and was told they were in network with them. I called and gave them my contact info and as soon as the office found out my type of insurance and that I wasn’t from newtown proceeded to say “we aren’t accepting new patients unless from newtown” seems very discriminatory based on financial status.

After 20 years as Dr. Schmid's patient, I still visit her for adjustments when I come back across the country, having moved to the west coast, and haven't found anyone local as good as she is.

Amazing. I was dealing with an 8 year long injury and drs kept telling me it is what it is but she did a few adjustments and the difference is amazing. I wish they had recommended this 8 years ago. It would have saved me many years of discomfort.

A visit to Dr. Schmid means fast relief. She helps me get my mid-back muscle/nerve spasms under control when they flare up from time to time. I'm confident that they are fading into history under her care! Thank you Dr. Schmid!

I went to Dr. Schmidt with a tricky neck injury that was not healing for months despite seeing other non-chiroractic practices. I was concerned about having my neck manipulated and I expressed all my concerns. Dr. Schmid listened to me and was very cautious, had me get x-rayed to do a thorough evaluation. I've been a client of Dr. Schmid for a few years+ now, and when I first started attending her practice, I had a pretty severe back problem in two spots; middle and lower. I also had neck problems. Over a fairly short period of time, she was able to minimize my pain and my back started to feel better in movement as well. She had me doing stretching exercises afterwards, and I re-started riding my bicycle more often under her guidance, and over the past two years my back has for the most part felt very good. I get little cramps and occasional pains but that's pretty much normal, and she's able to deal with all those things rather easily if they need to be handled. She has good technique, and is a veteran of doing these procedures. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs a chiropractor. And, she's a pleasant person to deal with every time I go in. Highly recommend Dr Schmid for chiropractic care. She is committed to understanding and working with her patients needs and individual situations. She is very caring. Any time I have had back or neck issues her treatments get me back into a normal state.

Dr. Schmid and her staff are amazing! In just a few visits, Dr. Schmid reduced my pain by about 80%! She is so caring and competent. I wouldn't hesitate to send family and friends to her office.

Once again thanks to Dr. Schmidt, I was sailing again. I didn't even know I had a middle back until I had a muscle strain from a sailing experience. Within a few visits, pain was gone and back out on the water.

Have been going since middle school due to athletic injury and Scoliosis. Always extremely attentive, learns your habits and lifestyle and takes every aspect of that into your treatment. Best experience I have had with a doctor ever.
