Donald V Tucker

I was referred by a nurse at Harton ER , I wished I never listened . I would ask to be sent to a doctor who specializes in my problem but I think he enjoys making money off my unnecessary tests , Ct scans & blood work . Says he wants to try a certain Medicine to see if it helps but never even brought it up again , did this twice it never happened . You just don’t mess with patients who have depression . Now I don’t even want to go to a doctor or even trust one . I’ve been very picky about finding a new doctor .

Best Doctor I have ever been to. Dr. Tucker always listens and always sends me to the best whenever I need to go to a specialist or another Doctor. I would recommend Dr. Tucker to anyone.

Dr Tucker is great BUT he has the worst front desk workers. They are EXTREMELY rude. No matter what day or how busy they are very very rude.

DR. Tucker and his staff have always supplied me with excellent health care.

Sure, sometimes wait times are long but hes a great Doctor that takes the time to talk to his patients and gets to know you. And this day and age its a wonderful thing. He still gets 5 stars in my book. Adjust your schedule to reflect it, to me the level of care this man provides is personal and worth it. Medically he has never let me down an covers all aspects of my care. I am also on home dialysis so I am very careful about my choice of doctors. Dr Tucker is nice. Compassionate and seems to care and know his job. I started with grandma over there and moved my medically complex daughter and now my husband. BUT his nurse and front desk leave something to be desired. The nurse asked my daughter to call the insurance on a voicemail on her phone to find somewhere who would accept her insurance. She did ( I said no it wasn’t her job. But she did) and then she called the front desk and left said hospital with the front desk. Yesterday when I was in with my husband and asked the status of her MRI Tucker didn’t know. The nurse had him leave shut the door and proceeded to tell me she was done they weren’t ordering it. She said my daughter was no compliant and she was don no MRI ( who is she to make medical Decisions) I tried to explain she did call the insurance and left her a message /at the front desk. Instead of saying it got misplaced or handling it with grace I was a liar and it didn’t happen. Really it did. Disorganized much

Dr Tucker is a good dr but his staff are not good nor is his nurse practitioner. Many promises to returnscalls wich never occurred

You do have to wait to see him but he takes time with his patients. You dont feel rushed. He listens and talks to you. He is a good doctor.

A "one star" recommendation is really giving a "over rate"! Went to see Dr Tucker due to fatigue,weight loss,dizziness on a Thursday. He ordered a CXR, which was abnormal, had me to come back for a CT scan which was also abnormal. We were told we would be contacted next day for further instructions. We were not contacted and left SEVERAL messages on Friday and the following Monday--which were NEVER returned. Ended up in Nashville at ER and was admitted with LUNG CANCER with METS. This office needs to re-evaluate the way to handle SICK patients!!! I can not believe the incompetence we witnessed at this office- from the front desk to the back!! My advice would be to NOT go to this office!

If I could give 0 I would... The staff is horrible... Rude on the phone. will talk over you when you try to exsplain why your calling.. out right rude staff (lady on the phone) doctor is great just needs staff that will help ppl and not be rude when u call to ask questions. I went in 2 weeks ago and got an MRI and 2 days later went back and got test results... Called today they didn't send in my surgery request from the doctor and rude lady at the front counter says we don't have your test results yet... I told her I already had the results and she proceeded to talk loudly over me when I was explaining I went in and got those results 2 weeks ago... Unorganized is what this place is for sure... While Dr. Tucker may be great with his patients , he is always extremely late. I have to take time off work to see him and last time I waited 2 hrs, Not Ok. Now I'm sitting here again and it's already 30 mins past my appointment time. Time to find a new Dr. The ladies at the front could be a bit nicer too.

Dr Tucker is a angel sent from heaven in my family's opinion he took great company on for our mother in her last days and she loved him as well as all her girls do!!!! Dr Tucker has a excellent bedside manner and truly cares for his patients I would recommend him to anyone and would feel good in my heart that I did!!! Drs like him don't exsits anymore and that's sad but so very true!!! We love you Dr Tucker and will always be greatful to you for taking such good care of our mother!!!

Been seeing Dr. Tucker for over 12 yrs now and I absolutely love him he treats his patients like family and will take the time to answer any of questions .. goes out of his way to.make sure ur taken care of .. the wait gets a little long sometimes but hes worth the wait

Dr Tucker cares for his patients as if they were family. His bedside manner is the best you'll find. There's not a more caring physician.

Dr. Tucker is top notch and has went well above and beyond in my primary care and an inpatient as well. I would recommend him to anyone in need of a true family, primary physician!

I've been a patient of Dr. Tucker's for over ten years. He has been nothing but helpful towards me and my family, however his nurses have been an absolute nightmare to talk to. I was actually told once that my medication (Citalopram HBA, an antidepressant) was a schedule 1 restricted drug (it's not, a basic Google search tells you that on the first page) in order to not have to refill it. They are scatterbrained and it takes the effort of moving a damn elephant to get them to do anything. I've been a patient of Dr. Tucker's for over ten years. I consider him a friend and honest confidant for my health and well being. He genuinely cares in an insightful way. Great bedside manner.

Follow up to previous comment I left: After speaking with Tammy in the office, my issue was resolved. She immediately made phone calls and my mother was able to see the doctor she needed to see. I am very pleased with the quick action that was taken for my mother's best interest.

None can compare to the kindness and compassion of this Dr. When it comes to actually CARING, for patients, Dr Tucker's the best.

My mother and dad work for a living and can't take off from work when they are sick because of bills they have to pay so when trying to get an appointment for my mother after she gets off from work is hard. Because of rules at a doctors orders. Doctors need to remember they took a creed to take care of people. And also respect others who work as well. When a person can't take off from work to see a doctor due to the fact that THEY HAVE BILLS TO PAY. Then maybe a doctor should realize that as well. CAUSE in FACT they are part of those bills. So what is a person suppose to do when a doctor won't see them after they are off from work. Maybe the doctor needs to pay his patients bills and see how far his "RULES" go then. And the secretaries are rude as all get out.
