Waited an hour after my appointment time

Going to the dentist always makes me nervous but Dr Wendt and his team really put me at ease. He recommended a conservative treatment for my issue which made me feel better as I was expecting the worst. Super happy my dentist referred me to this office. I would recommend this practice to my friends and family!

I wish I could give a 100 star rating. Dr. Wendt and his entire staff went over and beyond. I was a new patient and in pain. Initially I was told that the soonest Dr. Wendt could see me was mid-August. However, Connie spoke with Dr. Wendt last evening and they came into the office early this morning to see me. To the entire office staff and Dr. Wendt, I cannot express to you enough my heartfelt appreciation and kindness that you extended to me. Dr. Wendt was so kind and caring. Facility does not honor patient time. Setup cleaning appt. While I showed up on time, first 17 minutes there was no action. Approached staff, and they had setup two appointments one with Dr Wendt and another apointment an hour later for cleaning. Staff projects its the 'law' to see Dr before cleaning appt. Extra billing maybe? Dr Shows up 28 minutes into appt saying I had been rude to his staff. Asked him how exactly, and he could not answer. Excellent care from all the staff. Very organized and friendly office, and Dr. Wendt is fabulous!

Dr. Wendt is a great dentist. He took care of skin grafts that I needed in the roof of my mouth. His work is very professional.

Exceptional chair side manner. Dr. Wendt presents information in a non-condescending and understandable way. Highly recommend!!

Beware!!! This review is about Dr. Wendt's untrustworthy hiring practices. I do not know if he is a good dentist or not. You will have to decide that for yourself. But if you are looking for a job in this office think twice before accepting anything. I recently applied for a front office position as an Insurance Coordinator and was offered the job right away. I was first contacted by Cheryl Henry who is a practice Consultant for Dr. Wendt. She seemed really sweet and genuine and was not concerned that I was moving to the Tampa area from out of state. She was aware of this and so was the Doctor. After an hour long phone interview she stated that she thought I was a perfect fit for the Insurance Coordinator position as I have five years experience doing just that at other offices. She set up a video interview with her, Dr. Wendt and myself. It went really well and to my surprise barely two hours later I received a text from her offering me the position. I asked for time to consider it and two days later I accepted it. Over the course of the next week I received many emails, texts and phone calls from Cheryl answering my questions about the office and giving me both an offer letter and other details I needed to know about starting the job. At our last phone conversation we set an official start date and everything seemed good. I was told that both she and Dr. Wendt were excited for me to start and were looking forward to meeting me in person. Based on her assurances that I actually had a job, we moved ahead with our plans to move to Tampa and even got our house ready to sell! I also had other job offers that I turned down for these people! Then suddenly without ANY warning OR explanation a week later I get a short very coldly worded message saying Dr. Wendt has RESCINDED the offer of employment!! Can you imagine my Shock?? When I responded asking for a reason why, I was again given a short unfeeling response saying that the Dr. had made his decision and there was NOTHING to discuss!! I still cannot figure out why this complete 180 degree change happened. I called my references and asked if they had ever been contacted and was told that they had not! A whole week and no one was contacted what is that all about?? Also I know for a fact that there is nothing negative in my background that could have changed the Dr.'s mind this drastically so I can only conclude that they were playing with me and never planned to hire me in the first place!! Either that or Cheryl was really the only one who wanted to hire me and the Dr. never did but she went ahead with it on her own only to later be told by Dr. Wendt that he said No! Other than that I cannot come up with any good reason why this happened as neither of them had the decency to respond with an answer to my questions. As it is I would NOT recommend trying to work for someone who treats people this badly before they ever step foot in the door. Cheryl was the worst actually because she acted so friendly and nice even recommending places to look for apartments when last we spoke. And then she didn't even have the guts to speak to me on the phone and explain what had happened or even be sympathetic about it. All she did was hide behind emails and text messages telling me to get lost but not in so many words. Either way after this experience I would not work for someone like this no matter how much they offered to pay. I'm just glad they told me before I got down there and then showed up to work only to find out that I never had a job after all. SO BEWARE IF YOU ARE A PROSPECTIVE EMPLOYEE!!! Doctor Wendt is great and the staffs are very friendly. Highly recommend the office.

Dr. Wendt is a wonderful Doctor. I'm so glad our orthodontist referred us here.

Douglas Wendt is an incredible caring and professional dentist with a lot of experience and knowledge in his expertise! Thank you doctor for all the advices you gave how to best take care of my gums and my teeth!

I was there for a deep cleaning, Candice took care of me, I must admit I was really anxious , but all went better than expected .

If you need a periodontist or an implant then DR Wendt is the man to see. I had a molar that needed to come out, my regular dentist wanted to put in a bridge (ugh). Dr Wendt put in an implant and now I'm good to go. Great staff as well.

Was referred to this office by my dentist, and was quite apprehensive about the whole thing. Just walking into this practice seemed to lower my anxiety, thanks to the kindness and professionalism that was shown, starting with the greeting from the front desk employee, to the calm, knowledgeable and reassuring dental assistant, to the wonderful care I received from Dr. Wendt. Hoping not to need additional periodontal treatment, but when the time comes for any further procedures, I am glad to know where to go! HIGHLY recommended! Dr Wendt broke the implant putting it in. I had a terrible experience with this office. Implant didn’t take, he had no explanation why also was told by his staff they would pay back the insurance company. I understood my portion was lost but they went back on there word to pay back the insurance company. When asked for my implant o was told they had to destroy it. Only go to an oral surgeon for inplants. Had so much pain and infection with this guy

I was very impressed by Dr. Wendt's knowledge, so I am not surprised that my procedure did not have any complications and everything healed properly. He talked through every step as he was doing it, which was helpful to know what was happening and coming up next. He helped all my fears subside. I am glad he was recommended by my dentist who said he was "the best in all of Tampa Bay" and he was definitely right! Simply amazing. It's obvious that Dr. Wendt is at the top of his game. I found Dr. Wendt to be very good, patient, very nice. However, I have an infection in bone around implants that Florida Blue dental will pay nothing and they don't care about my health. Just to clean out the infection is $1,300. The woman in the office does not have patience for people that do not have the money. I did tell her that I opened a care credit accout of $800 and she never got back with me. Shame on them!!! They sent me on my wsy, too bad for you!!!
