Dr. Dustin G Child

Dr child is a fantastic listener. We appreciate his knowledge and guidance for our entire family. Many times, he has went above and beyond what is expected of a doctor to do when trying to find the right information and guidance we need. As a mom, I especially liked when he gave our 16 year old advice on weight lifting, wrestling and the use of creatine before age 18. It was very helpful. Additionally, his easygoing personality makes doctor's appointments a much better experience than we've had in the past.

Quick checkin process with a friendly staff and when I got called back I had an efficient nurse and the she was thorough, along with great care from the Dr.

Good visit. 3 months ago my white blood cells were low. Came in and they had gone up. So glad that Dr Child was concerned and had me come back in 3 months. A very concerning Doctor to look after his patients. Takes time to talk with you at each visit. Goes over your medication at each visit to make sure you have no concerns.

Dr Child has always been able to get me in immediately if need be. Thorough and empathetic to your condition. Never have had a bad experience.

Dr. Child and the Tanner Clinic Kaysville office took care of me quickly, conveniently, and with excellent thoughtful care when I was feeling at my worst. He and his staff also gave me important medical documentation I needed quickly. Lastly, the Main Tanner Clinic Appointments set me up with a TeleDoc appointment and answered all my complicated questions so I didn’t have to be out of the house any longer than I needed so I could get much needed rest. So thankful and appreciated their level of care!!

I've been going to Dr. Child for years now. He's been very kind, patient, and has been a fantastic listener/problem-solver. He hasn't dismissed my concerns or made me wait to solve an issue in order to "be sure." My visits tend to be really short with him too. Dr Child is a great Doctor. Caring, Compassionate, Listens and always make you feel like you are very important to him. His nurse Dawn is always helpful and goes the extra mile to do what see can for you. I would recommend him to family and friends.

Tanner Clinic has been a very positive experience over the past 3 years and with Dr. Dustin Child as well. Dr. Child is very personable as well as knowledgeable on any of my treatment issues. Came here because he had decent reviews, boy that must have been his family. This doctor gave me an I dont care about you vibe the moment he walked in. Was out of there so fast. Said he would get the nurse to do labs. An HOUR AND A HALF later the nurse stumbled into the room completely unaware I was waiting. Apparently he forgot to tell her. Even worse, I was the only patient there. I also had to reach out to the lab to get my results several times. When my lab results came back with several things wrong I never even got a follow up call from the doctor. Even worse I reached out several times to the doctors office to let them know my experience and I got a whole lot of we will call you back, never got a call and of course no follow up EVER. Honestly probably the worst experience I've ever had at the doctor's. I would be ashamed to be the doctor or associated with him.

The doctor had an I don't really care attitude when speaking with me. Said I needed labs done and he would get the nurse an HOUR AND A HALF later the nurse stumbled into the room completely unaware I was waiting, said the doctor forgot to tell her. Didn't get my lab results until I reached out to the clinic even after several of my results were concerning, the doctor never followed up. Dr. Childs Always goes above and beyond, great physician. He makes sure all my concerns are taken care of , fast on refill of medication and appointments are pretty accessable.

Dr. Child and his staff are very patient in helping me deal with my health issues. They were especially patient this week with my difficulty in making the telehealth appointment work for the first time. Now maybe I can do that with my little "greats." I am a retired hospital medical transcriptionist having worked out of my home office for 15 years, long before the pandemic made it necessary. In those days doctors dictated reports. I don't know why I have avoided the use of internet camera devices. I miss my work and enjoy the time I spend with Dr. Child and his staff in person!

I was able to get in quickly. The doctor didn’t seem comfortable talking about women issues or questions about sexual health or women’s health. He was rushing out of the room before answering my questions and referred me to a specialist. If you can’t talk to your doctor about this stuff who do you talk to? We pay them to listen hoping for answers. I would not recommend him as your MD.

I have been a patient of Dr. Child’s for about two years and in those two years, each appointment has felt like it was the first and that is unfortunate. With each appointment, he makes me feel as though I am a ‘new patient’. A patient that he has not cared whatsoever to build any rapport with. He doesn’t ever seem to recall who I am, why I see him regularly or why I am on a specific treatment plan. I find myself having to reacquaint myself in each visit - explaining who, why, reasons for this or that. Having had to do this repeatedly and knowing that most of my responses are already noted on the screen (try and take the time to remember, just read) in front of him has made my opinion of him as my doctor less than ideal. Trying to engage in conversations with him, in attempts to humanize myself to him is a struggle and awkward. For now, I have accepted that it is what it is. Get treated. Get out. But get better? Good doctor but always running late

We have had Dr. Child as our family doctor for years and really like him and trust him. Our biggest gripe is with staff. Slow to get back to us on all different kinds of matters. Even got a blood test order mixed up.

Clean and nice people at the clinic. I always feel like I'm rushed with the doctor.

He genuinely seemed to care about my problems and helped me figure out my medication. The wait time was a little long, but it is a doctors office, so I kind of guessed it would happen. He was very professional.
