Dr. Edward H. Becker III

I had a good experience with Dr. Becker. He is professional and takes time to explain things well. He does tend to use a lot of medical acronyms, so you may have to stop him and ask him to clarify. But he is professional and knowledgeable. The office runs like a well oiled machine. I didn't have to wait too long to go back and see the doctor and he was running about 10 minutes late (which in the world of medical offices, isn't that bad, imo). I plan to continue to see him for my hip issues.

He was very patient and explain things totally to my understanding and that's really hard to find these days that someone would be so personal with you and I do love his care and wish him much success

Very professional and concerned. His entire office is just as professional and well organized from the receptionists to the xray technician to the tech who splinted my finger.

The staff acted in a professional manner and answered all my questions.

Much thanks to Dr.Becker and staff for all the help over the years, and a big thank you to PA Lauren for going to extra lengths to figure out my latest issue and making sense of it all. Tampa OMG gets 5 stars from me.????

Always receive excellent care from all administrative & medical staff at OMG. Even after going through extensive arm surgery, I was fortunate to not need any prescribed pain medication. Tylenol & Advil worked fine, which tells me Dr. Becker did an outstanding job!

I've been to Dr. Becker a number of times and I'll continue to see him as he is knowledgeable and very thorough in explaining the situation and options. I agree with other reviews that front desk not the friendliest, and wait times were a little excessive.

Extremely long wait. His medical assistant wouldn’t even tell me how many more people were still ahead of me, when I clearly informed her that I had another appointment. I had to just leave. Didn’t see the doctor so can’t speak for my experience with me. Again, they are extremely slow with calling you back so be prepared.

Great service very timely and help full. This is the second time I have need Dr. Becker's services, have been happy with my office visits.

First ever experience with Dr Becker. Very A to B. Needed the screw from a precious surgery that hold the fracture to be taken out on my ankle. Super smooth an operation with Dr Becker, the actual surgery was like 15min. Just so pleasant, swift and simple of an experience with Dr Becker. Definitely 5 star from me.

Dr. Becker took the time to sit with me and explain my problem and what he will do to fix it. I had massive tears in the rotator cuff area and was really apprehensive about the surgery. This Doctor has a 4.5 star review as a Doctor who gets paid by private insurance or meficare. This Doctor is also a part time Worksmam Comp Dr and as of one, he is a 1 star. Today, July 19th of 2021 my Wife had a follow up with him 11 days after he performed her orthoscopic knee surgery. He today saw her for 2 minutesand 45 second as he ordered his Assistant to remove ny Wife's stitches and then ordered her to return to work tomorrow with sitting restrictions. He also told her to keep ice on the knee and keep it elevated. Now... Does that mean that tomorrow at work my wife can no longer put ice or elevarte her knee for 10 hours?. Is he, by returning my wife to work; allowing her to drive a vehicle after he prescribes for her Celebrex and other meds for her pain? What happens if my wife has an auto accident just because he put the interests of Worksman Comp, which is returning people to work as soon as possible, over the safety and well being 0f his patient. Beware of Doctors such as DR. EDWARD BECKER. He is the pocket of and on the Compensation end of what WORKSMAN COMPENSATION wants him to do. In my Wife's case was to send my Wife back to an unsafe work environment 11 days after surgery in order to keep his contract intact. because If he doesn't, Worksman Comp.will terminate his contract and find another puppet on a string Dr. who sells his ethical and medical morals over choosing what's best for his patients. He may be a good orthopedic DR. but if he sells himself to the wishes of his Worksman Comp part time empoyer, then he was today more a business man than a Dr. Today, my wife and i had a follow up appointment with Businessman Becker (not Dr. Becker). Let's pray to.God that his unethical decision to return my Wife to work prematurely through Worksman Comp does not backfire because if he jeopardizes my Wife's health over his own personal interests he should stop practicing medicine. Lastly, I called his office to express my concerns as a caring husband, to no avail. Dr Becker took the time to show me that I was incorrectly diagnosed, and that I had actually torn my ACL. Horrible horrible experience!!!!! I am making this review for my mother who is a patient there. She was seen by RONALD KUBUS, PA and she left there in tears. She made this appointment to be seen and be helped with her pain. Instead she left there $100 short and still in pain. Even after mentioning to the PA that it wasn’t fair that she just paid $100 dollars to be directed somewhere else, his response was, “ that’s not my problem talk to the front desk.” What kind of patient care is that???? I have never been to a doctor's office where every employee has genuine concern for their patients. I will definitely recommend your office for any orthopedic need.

Dr Becker has been excellent throughout my whole procedure with my shoulder and now the process of getting it back to physical therapy.

This was my second knee surgery with Dr. Becker. Everything went very smooth. I would recommend him and his great team.

The Doctor is a Super Star. Knowledgeable, experienced and willing to go the extra mile in any way that he can. A true asset to Orthopedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay. I'm glad that he was my doctor.

While the front desk staff wasn’t the friendliest, the doctor was fantastic. A great bedside manner and took the time to explain things in a way I would understand.

I had a massive tear on my right shoulder rotator cuff. Dr. Becker took the time to explain the injury and the procedure to repair it. He answered all of my questions and went out of his way to put my mind at ease and give me reassurance. After he completed the surgery he even took the time to talk to my husband who was in the waiting lounge to reassure him that the surgery went well and I was doing fine. Dr. Becker's entire staff is very professional and show their interest and willingness to go the extra mile to help their patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Becker and his entire staff to my friends or any one else needing Orthopedic medical care.

I had knee pain for 5 years before finally seeking medical help. Before seeing Dr. Becker, one doctor told me that I had a "runner's knee" and another gave me an awful customer experience. I was extremely happy once I found Dr. Becker because he was the only orthopedic doctor that truly helped me and was able to give me a correct diagnosis. When I finally had to undergo surgery, I felt comfortable knowing that he tried every option beforehand. He called as soon as he had biopsy results and answered any and all questions I had. I went to physical therapy, and now my knee is completely back to normal. Dr. Becker is an overall thorough, trustworthy, friendly, and dependable doctor. I would highly recommend anyone to see him.

Dr. Becker and his P.A. are excellent. They both took the time to explain every option to fix my problem. I went with the surgery pain is gone and no scar. Full use of my arm great job. Very friendly staff . Definitely would recommend. My wife and I are both patients.

Dr. Becker, is very intune with your body and can pinpoint what the issue is with no problem, he is all about the solution to end your pain without surgery unless that is really necessary, I will definitely recommend him and I will continue to come back he's a plus in my book!

I visited Orthopaedic Medical Group of Tampa Bay on May 23rd regarding a wrist issue I was having which was brought on by my pregnancy. I was advised to take Aleve and ice the area and if that was not successful to come back for a cortisone shot. I went back on July 9th for a follow up and to receive the cortisone shot bc the pain was worse. Upon being seen I was told they needed approval from my doctor that is was safe for me to receive the shot bc I was breastfeeding. In the interim I was given a brace to immobilize the area but it is impossible to care for my daughter while wearing it so I am only able to wear it to bed which is little help. I contacted my physican who informed me there were several types of cortisone shots and he needed to know which one before he could approve it. Trying to get in touch with anyone at OMG Tampa Bay is a joke. I left a message with their phone service per their policy for a doctor or PA bc you cannot call directly into the office to speak to ANYONE! Their website refrences a 48hr turn around time when you do call in to ask questions,etc. Fast forward two days and still no answer, still in pain and still unable to care for my 3.5 month old without feeling like my wrist is going to separate from my body. Perhaps this office should consider following up with patients and promoting positive health outcomes while focusing on the wellness of its clientele vs collecting co pays from the many people who walk through the office door. In closing, if you are interested in long wait times, no follow up and potentially being in pain for an extended period of time you should visit OMG of Tampa Bay. I can't share any bad experience because I had none they took x-rays and found out I had arthritis and a herniated disk sign me up for physical therapy which did help somewhat

Always full of energy, happy to see me each visit. He took the time to explain my pain and how we planned to get me back to working out.

Dr Becker operated on my shoulder and bicep over a year ago. I'm happy to report that I'm totally fixed, back to 100%. Dr Becker and his assisants were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

I visited Dr. Becker after a ski injury this past January. He diagnosed a dual ligament tear to both the ACL and MCL in my left leg. I'm overly active so I wanted this surgery to go well. Fast forward 6 months today, the MCL graft is fully healed, the ACL is coming along. I have nearly 130 degrees ROM, pain has been absent since the 9th day after surgery. I went to this office in May of last year, I waited on the phone for almost an hour and a half to schedule my appt. prior to the visit. On the day of my visit I was seen by an "associate specialist" whatever that means. And I didn't even get to see Dr. Becker even though he was in the office that day. I had to pay $30 for them to fill out two pieces of paper work for my job. And they gave me two casts for my wrists that were valued at $800 which they never gave me an option for a cheaper alternative. On my follow up there was some dicrepencys pertaining to my insurance that they messed up on and I had to retrieve some doctors notes from Dr. Beckers office to send to my place of work and they charged me an additional $30 for that. And even though Dr. Becker again was present, I did not get a chance to see him for a second time. So ultimately I never even meet the man. Now almost a year later my injurys still persist and one of my $400 casts has broke and I'm sure they would charge me another $400 for a new pair. Very unprofessional, So now I'm taking my business elsewhere and now I need to collect my x-rays and whatever else is pertinent and I'll probably have to pay them another $30 for them too. I've never been to such a greedy practice like this anywhere. So my advice if your injured and don't want to spend and arm and a leg for quaility care Dr. Beckers office would NOT be for you. Wonderful doctor. Great staff. I've been under his treatment for trigger fingers for 3 years now. He performed a trigger finger release on my left hand's index finger to great results. I need another finger operated on and am about to schedule with Dr. Becker once again. Highly recommended.

Dr. Becker is great!

I had my ACL surgery by another doctor and it failed after 2 years. Dr. Becker performed by revision ACL reconstruction and from Day 1 I knew I was going to do better. I am 2 years out now and back to full sports. I came back in for an ankle sprain and thought I would leave a thank you. THANK YOU!!!

On hold for 8 minutes for a terrible phone evaluation, asking nothing about my problems. tried to ask 3 different times how much x rays cost. you people need to not take advantage of folks in pain.

ZERO stars. Read before you go! This was a terrible experience! I read great reviews and chose dr Becker based on all the great things I had read. Maybe they were fakes. First off my husband was hurt. There was NO one else in the office waiting yet we were kept waiting and when we finally saw the dr, the exam was so quick and vague. He seemed to not care and blew off what we were saying. He had done an X-ray FIRST before even seeing my husband, yet didn't even mention the X-ray. He said we could get an MRI. This dr talked to us for less than 5 minutes. We spent more time trying to leave the office where the lady told us she would call us THE NEXT DAY with an MRI appointment. Fast forward.. during the next 2 weeks I had made several calls to the office asking "When is my husbands MRI?", to get a runaround and I ended up calling my insurance company and then another that gives the approval of the MRI , then call back the drs office to tell them that that didn't finish the request for approval. Me! I had to do the footwork. To tell them that they dropped the ball. Now thru papers that came in the mail I found that they coded it wrong and we were denied the first time. So finally we get the MRI done and then had to do it AGAIN the next day, because something wasn't done right there either. So we wait another 2 weeks for our results and when I called today to ask, I was told that they don't and won't call us and won't give results over the phone. "You were supposed to make another appointment , it's on the bottom of your paperwork." It's $200 out of pocket to see this dr. So it's going to cost me $200 to get my report read aloud to me? No thank you. I'm getting the report and finding some one who cares. Thanks for absolutely nothing but a really big bill! Thank GOD he doesn't have a life threatening injury, or maybe he does?
