Awesome staff...Tooth extraction nightmare!! I'm actually not sure if this Doctor was using me as a test subject of pain study of an African American. The pain medication used "if" was proper medical was very insufficient. People just be careful with this Doctor....NO stars

Dr. Ruiz is an excellent dentist. Very friendly and caring of his patients. I've been going there for almost 10 years. 2 of my daughter's have gotten braces and now my son has them.

Front office staff is ALWAYS rude. Every single time I have to talk to them. It’s ridiculous really. They are the first people that you talk to. Customer service is literally key.

This review is specifically for Benita the front desk clerk. I am from another dental office and called for an X-ray 3 times in one day the first response was “well I don’t do that!” Second time I called was sure “the back staff will send it when they have time probably not today!” Third time I called she said the “computer was having problems” I simply asked well it’s just an email how is it having problems she then responded “WELL WHATEVER” I have been in the dental field for 11 years and I have never talked with a front desk person who has treated another office staff so badly! She should definitely not be the first person to answer your phone calls and deal with your patients! Looking at other reviews it seems I’m not the only person who has thought this way! The quality of my partial is poor.. the silver used in making them PEELED OFF within the first week and when I took them back I was told it was no big deal. I never had an actual partial only a temporary one that I'd used for years so I had nothing to compare it to... I've since seen how a good quality partial should look and I now realize that I wasted over $1800. Although, Dr. Ruiz and his staff were nice... needless to say I don't like the quality of my partial. This review is based solely on my experience with the office staff. I emailed a request on his site for a estimate for a bridge and then again I left a voicemail for the same reason. I have not had a reply. So the staff is the first impression the dentist receives from patients. I read his reviews and am sad to say I was not given the opportunity for him to provide me with a bridge. I guess I will have to go out of my way to Loyola when Dr. Ruiz is in such close proximity to me. Hope other people have had much better results with his staff. Dr. Ruiz's dental wizardry would be more fitting name. It isn't uncommon to see him perform seemingly impossible feats while working toward my Better oral hygiene. If you re reading this do yourself a favor and get down to dr. Ruiz's office and schedule an appointment. I've been to this dental office twice now for emergencies and once for scheduled cleaning. I am impressed at how cheerful everyone is! When you enter the door you hear laughing! They are so friendly!! And I don't have dental insurance they take that into consideration! So much less than the last dentist I went to for many, many years!! Wish I had known about Dr. Ruiz before, but I am now telling others about this great guy! Great work, great prices!! Can't beat that!!! Very professional. He has magical hands. He's also surrounded by very professional staff.

Incredible! I knocked a couple teeth out playing hockey and waited to long to set an appointment so Dr. Ruiz set me up with two new front chompers. I must say he did a wonderful job sizing and placing them in as well as matching the color to the rest of my stained teeth. Needless to say, I will be back to set up a whitening visit to correct that issue and taking care of a root canal. Dr. Ruiz has great payment options and payment plans for uninsured patient like my self. I am completely confident in the service i receive from Dr. Ruiz and his staff insuring I am receiving the best of care. what seemed like just minutes in his office saved me from all the pain I was in and he even assisted me with an antibiotic prescription before I saw him and a small script to ease my pain for work. Dr. Ruiz has been my dentist for nearly 20 years. His staff, from the ladies that answer the phone, to the technicians that clean my teeth are professional, kind, and very reassuring. Dr. Ruiz himself is very thorough, friendly, and he makes me feel like he has all the time in the world to address my questions and fears. I highly recommend this dental practice.
