Fadi S Bashour

Dr. Bashour was the on call Dr. for the birth of my first child. He cut me to the point of a 4th degree episiotomy and then failed to wait for swelling to go down to repair it properly, leaving internal tissue outside of my body after suturing. After 3 surgeries over the course of a year to correct his negligence I am left with lifelong issues and injury 16 years later.

Excellent surgeon, good bedside manner, Highly recommend. You’re in good hands.

Been going to him for the past 2 years and not that I'm pregnant I continue to go to him. He delivered my son and have nothing wrong to say about him. He only takes a few minutes everytime and I'm ok with it. He took really good care of me as a surgeon. I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND HIM.

I'm writing this to save any woman the absolutely abhorrent experience I had with Dr. Bashour. I went in needing his help and left in tears. I went in for an IUD removal and was already very nervous. As soon as he walked in, I was talked over the whole time as I was trying to explain my situation. He didn't explain anything he was doing once the procedure began, just saying "Don't focus on what I'm doing," as he asked me very difficult, extremely personal questions in an uncaring tone. Any gyn appointment is unpleasant, but I never felt as panicked as I did in this situation and started crying. He pulled the IUD out without any warning and continued to drill questions as I'm trying to get myself together from the panic and from the pain. He asked what kind contraceptive I will be using for now on, and I requested my old birth control pill brand because I knew how it affected me. He straight up said "No, all the women I've worked with hated it. I suggest [insert brand name here]" and we actually went back and forth for a minute about it, as I'm trying so hard not to cry. I also expected to bleed after the IUD removal and he left without offering me a pad. I ran out of that office so fast and just cried in my car. A humiliating, disrespectful, horrendous experience. I’ve been seeing Dr Bashour for 12 years - always asks if I have any questions - if I need anything - always call him - never felt like a bother - always takes the time to answer questions - delivered my first child will be delivering my twins in a few weeks - feel 100% comfortable with his opinions: recommendations

Honestly a terrible experience and will not go back. I have a genetic bleeding disorder and have been consulting a hematologist to solve the issue and this doctor wouldn’t listen to a word I said and literally said to me that I have no idea what I’m talking about and only what he was saying was facts. Spent less than 5 minutes in my room and just shoved a pamphlet in my face halfway out the door. Don’t see this doctor. Save yourself the anger and disappointment. Went to this doctor and felt nothing but judged the moment I walked through the door. For months of doctors visits I had with him I tested positive for E Coli in my urine. I would dread going to each appointment, near tears every time, because of the subtle insinuations that it was my fault the results kept coming back positive for E Coli and the staff thinking I was contaminating my urine. I was surprised on my last visit when I was informed I would have to have a catheter urine extraction done but was compliant. Again, my results came back that I had a UTI. At my 18 week ultrasound it was explained to me that my unborn baby was having kidney issues passing fluid, which I’m sure now looking back was a result of the untreated UTI. He never called to inform me of the results after the catheter extraction and upon reaching out to him I was finally put on antibiotics yesterday. So I had an untreated UTI for 4 months when I had just miscarried my last child in April and didn’t have anything come back in my urine then. As a first time mom I thought all the discomfort and pain in my side and lower back was normal when in fact it was probably just the infection spreading to my kidney. So now at 25 weeks I’ve switched OBGYNs and I feel such a sense of relief. He put myself and my unborn baby at risk. Spare yourself the pain and lack of empathy. Do not see this doctor. Dr Afaneh!!! She is the best! She never rushes her appointments and is very patient. She responds promptly to emails. My wife very happy she has amazing OBGYN If you are looking for a competent, campassionate, and caring doctor she is your Dr.

Everyone at this office are very professional and a pleasure to speak to. Also DR Afaneh she is so professional and delicate. What I liked about DR Afaneh she pay attention even for small detail. Trust me once you on her visit you never want leave. We are thrilled to have highly skilled doctor in our neighborhood. Highly recommend.

He definitely skipped the class on "bedside manner". He was very short, sweet and to the point. No pleasantries, no small talk, very few questions and very little explanation. He offered three options, the first being "wait and see". The other two, including surgery, were given with no explanation of pros and cons. No explanation of anything to avoid to keep the condition from getting worse, if there is anything. I couldn't even ask questions because I had no idea what to even ask. I will now do my research and find a different doctor for future visits. I waited 40 minutes for a less than 5 minute consult. The only thing I gained was to have my suspicion of what it was confirmed. Nothing more.

I went to this doctor as a teen due to chronic bleeding issues. I was put on a birth control that resolved the issue. A few years later he told me he had free samples from a drug rep and was switching me to a new birth control. He said all birth control was the same and it was fine to switch. For years after that I was having issues with chronic bleeding again once I was switched. He kept saying this was normal to have break through bleeding until one day I became escalated and told him it was not normal to bleed non stop for years. He said I must have an endocrine problem and to go to a specialist. I spent $5,000 on medical testing and ever test came back normal. I drained my savings account to pay for these tests and was broke. I stopped going to him after that. I went to a new doctor and got back on the type of birth control I was originally on and all of my bleeding issues went away almost immediately. I needless suffered for years because this doctor wanted to give me free samples. I was on this medication for a specific reason and I don’t think he ever looked at my chart before making this life altering decision for me. My quality of life was destroyed for years. I have been a patient of his for 15 years now. He has been my OB for all 3 of my children and is always very patient, empathetic and never makes me feel like I am irritating. I'm honestly shocked at the bad reviews.

I will never see this doctor again. Came in because I'm having almost constant bleeding and he told me that even though I've lost over 100 lbs I'm still overweight and that the bleeding was "normal". Never see this doctor. I will be seeking a second opinion.

Horrible bedside manner. Treated me as if he didn’t have the time for me & when I came to him after his surgery & explained I was still in pain, he told me that it wasn’t him. He didn’t even examine me. Because of him, I am not having to have a hysterectomy 6 months later. Do yourself a favor & never see this dr.

He only sits 5 mins with you. Doesn't care to listen carefully the reason why your visiting. The nurse seemed like she didn't take a shower for weeks.. Front desk was nice. I will not go back to this Dr.

To have a surgery is a good Dr. but to deliver a baby he's not there for you. His assistant left me pices of placenta for my both labors a week later they have too do me surgery for both labors and I'm still not feeling well.

I have given Dr. Bashour the benefit of the doubt and time and time again he has failed me. He doesn't seem to care about his patients at all and his bedside manner is cold at best. I have been a patient of his for years he has delivered 1 of my children and performed my tubal ligation. Recently he walked into the exam room to talk to me about a issue i was having and he had no clue about who i was or my medical history. I would not suggest seeing him for any reason. Dr. Bashour is very professional and gets straight to the point. I trust his judgement and competency to perform procedures. His nurse assistant never smiles and isn’t very friendly but I trust he is a good doctor. I had two procedures done by him and he explained everything and answered my questions

Dr. Bashour offered great service during my first pregnancy, but as I was pregnant with the second and third his care suffered. He seemed very annoyed with any questions and regardless of what you were asking him, he lacked concern and always stated that it’s normal. He preferred csections over vaginal delivery and was always pushing for a csection. I would not recommend him to anyone, his performance has really suffered throughout the years.

Dr. Bashour seemed rather annoyed by questions, and demonstrated a very low level of empathy. My husband took me to a visit for a follow-up from an EAR visit, and he actually addressed my husband to respond to my question. The 3 times I saw him, his characteristics and beside manner were consistent. If you want a Dr. to talk to you and tell you how you feel because they are the Dr., he is for you. If you want a Dr. who listens, choose someone else.

The staff here are very nice and always helpful! Sue is also great at what she does. She always makes me feel comfortable and explains things in a way I understand.

I would definitely recommend Dr. Bashour to my family and friends. He is always prepared to answer any questions or concerns I may have and carefully listens. Very courteous and friendly approachable.
