Thorough and knowledgeable

I'm the summer of 2019, I went to see Dr. Harris due to monthly rectal bleeding and chronic pain that started in 2018. He told me I was healthy and just looking for a reason as to why I gained weight and was being too lazy to lose it. He told me he would perform a colonoscopy to prove it to me. My colonoscopy was normal and he told me rectal bleeding was normal. Well, after two years of debilitating pain and losing my career and myself, turns out my bleeding was not normal. I have stage 4 endometriosis on my sigmoid colon and now I need bowel resection surgery. Dr. Harris is one of those doctors that gives doctors a bad name.

I just completed my 4th colonoscopy with Dr. Harris, and my only regret is that I can’t give him and his wonderful staff 10 stars!! Dr Harris is exceptional! Once you walk through the doors of his office you KNOW you’re in good hands. Everyone takes time to explain things and they help in anyway possible to make things go smoothly. No one likes a colonoscopy, but it can be a lifesaving procedure…. A great professional makes all the difference… and eliminates any excuses. Just do it! A visit to Dr Harris was lifesaving for my son!

My primary care physician referred me to Dr. Harris because I was bleeding and have GI issues. In my first appointment he told me there was nothing wrong with me and I was just looking for an excuse as to why I have gained weight. He told me he would do a colonoscopy just in case. He told my colonoscopy was clean and told my mom and I bleeding from your rectum is normal. A year later, I need surgery because they found endometriosis in my bowel and I had to have a hysterectomy due to adenomyosis and cysts all over. I lost a year of my life due to him. His staff was wonderful though.

It truly amazes me when I read some of these negative reviews. I absolutely adore Dr Harris. He is genuine, caring and I’m extremely comfortable with him. I’ve been seeing Dr Harris for over 30 years. I will be very sad when he decides to retire someday. As for the negative reviews I don’t know these patients conditions or what really occurred during their visits. Nor do I care. There are two sides to everything, As long as I think the world of Dr Harris that is all that matters to me.

Terrible experience, Dr. Harris was rude and had zero patient care and consideration. Waited almost an hour after colonoscopy for him to come in, stare at me uncomfortably in silence, act like I had a day to live and then diagnose me. After diagnosing, he explained nothing. Then he proceeded to say there is nothing I can do to help it and he doesn't treat the disease so I'll be seeing someone else, get the referral from his assistant. See a different doctor, sorry for anyone that has had him.

Was told by Dr Harris at my 1st visit a scope didn't seem necessary but to be safe lets do it. With all his years of practice he felt confident enough to identify malignancy in polyps during scopes. After my scope I was told of a polyp and tumor was found. Biopsy was done on the polyp but not the tumor. Called multiple times to only be told that they were in, but hadn't been looked at by the doctor. Ended up getting my results from the recommended surgeons nurses. Still havent spoken to him.

He is the most thorough, professioNl, best doctor I have ever been privileged to know.

This doctor refused to listen to me. He took one look at me, and, without checking my medical records, decided that he knew exactly what my problem was and approached me in a very unprofessional way. He ordered a bunch of unnecessary tests which did not relate to the condition/symptoms I described. He spent the entire visit berating me until I left in tears. I would never go back to this practice again.

Fantastic physician! Dr. Harris is a caring and thorough doctor. I was extremely satisfied with every aspect of care I received. I highly recommend him to anyone having a gastrointestinal issue!

Went in for 3 procedures-dilation, endoscopy, and colonoscopy. Because of an apparent mess up on the part of a staff member, only 2 were performed. I was given full sedation rather than relaxation I was told to expect. Dr. Harris' communication after the procedure was brusque to the point of rudeness.
