Dr. Faiz Ehsan Niaz

Dr. Niaz was arrogant and defensive at this, my first, visit. He was not empathetic at all and seemed uninterested in my concerns. He did not have complete records of my previous tests and complained to us about it, saying it was not his fault. We came to have my MRI interpreted and he didn’t have a disc reader for his computer. He wanted a written report which was not requested or forwarded to him. He interrupted me several times when I expressed my concerns and was not receptive to questions. He was extremely rude. When my husband complained to the lady at the desk about incomplete records, Dr. Niaz came out of the exam room, slapped my records down on the desk and said he would not treat me.

Very smart doctor who cares about getting the diagnosis right! Very glad we have him in Woodstock, not sure what I would do without him. He has been a lifesaver for my migraines and neuropathy

I started writing this review with tears of madnesses, feeling helpless and robbed. I went to this Doctor because he was the only one available of many doctors I called. Out of desperation I scheduled an appointment I was charged $374 for a 30 minute conversation. I left his practice the same with a lot of unanswered questions. I was scheduled for a 2 week follow up because he didn’t receive my MRI. If I wouldn’t of called and asked if they have received my test they wouldn’t of bothered to follow up. Morning of my appointment they still had not received it only reason I knew was because I called and followed up. I asked for Dr.Niaz to call me I expressed my frustration. He nonchalantly said you can call and request them. At that point I stated that I worked at a Doctors office and that if a patient needed info requested we were on it right away. He didn’t care he tried cutting me off many times without listening to me. Please, Please avoid this practice he is a thief I’m a self paying patient and these doctors take advantage of that. I’m out $374 I requested a refund and he said No because it was for the consultation fee. I guess a 30 minute conversation is a consultation. Dr. Naiz is not nice! After 30 seconds of meeting him asked what did I want? After giving him my background information he announced to me that we are not a good fit because HE DOESNT TAKE ANY PATIENT WHO Has had an ACCIDENT. He was SO PROUD of this he announced he has NEVER had an accident patient in his entire career. Here I am just trying to find a neuro to help with my symptoms desperate for answers and help and I was degraded, humiliated and discriminated against on the grounds that I had an accident. I have half a mind to call and get a peer review on you for your nasty tactics and treatment. I'm sure I'm not the only one. I left your office in tears that day as I had lost all hope. Poor business practices. We had a documented problem with our insurance company who reversed all payments for a six month period because of a systems error. It took another six months to resolve. After this doctor received payment from the insurance company, with an explanation from the insurance company, they still charged a collection fee. I called on several occasions to explain the situation. Neither the doctor nor the accounting person had the decency to speak with me personally. They had the ability to waive the collection fee but chose not to. Please find a doctor with a higher moral standard that this one. Poor business practices. After 3 visits, 3 different prescriptions. The office looks like a forgotten home project and unprofessional he could not figure out the cause of my headaches and suggested i visit an ENT. I would reccommend you go somewhere else. I went for a 2nd opinion to Sakib Qureshi, M.D. in midtown and he spent time with me and figured it out after one visit. Worth the drive check him out! Dr. Niaz takes the time to listen to you and tries to get to the root of the issues. He has been quick at returning calls and even calling to check on me during non office hours. Staff is extremely nice as well.

Dr. Niaz has been taking care of my mother for some time now. He has been very thorough with testing and very good about spending time with her explaining the results. His medical advice and treatment has been very helpful thus far. Thankful for his care.

I was referred to Doctor Niaz by my family physician in Blue Ridge. After experiencing a fairly rapid decline in my memory and cognitive abilities, I was afraid that I had Alzheimer’s. I was at a point where I could not concentrate or focus on the tasks my job required. Additionally, I had developed severe tremors in my hands. Fortunately, my employer was understanding and compassionate and gave me the time and support I needed to get help and keep my job. I have been seeing Dr. Niaz for almost 3 years abs he is the best neurologist I’ve ever had. He listens, he is patient and he remembers details from visit to visit. He always asks about my kids and how my life is going beyond my migraines. He is happy to work with my psychiatrist to make sure all of my medication works together. Dr. Niaz has been a life saver for me! I have always suffered with migraines and insomnia, but the last year and a half they became brutal. My migraines with nausea became nonstop and couldn’t work, eat, or barely get out of bed. I went from a very active person to basically bed-ridden overnight. I went to many doctors, emergency rooms, speciialists, had tests performed, tried literally about 50 different prescriptions....and ended up over a year later $50,000 in medical debt with NO relief. I literally thought I was dying. All on my own, I googled “neurologist near me”...and Thank God, Dr. Niaz was about 3 miles from my home, had an open appointment, and my life was changed! All of my appointments have been during the quarantine, so I can say that his office takes all precautions to protect everyone. From the 1st moment I met Dr. Niaz, he has been wonderful. He's helped me to decrease frequency and severity of my migraines, which I've been dealing with for 40 years. He takes the time to get to know his patients, and his staff is always pleasant and professional.

Dr. Niaz has been fantastic. After battling occasional migraines my entire life which have increased in recent years, one day last spring I developed a headache that lasted for almost 3 months. It wasn't a full blown migraine but there wasn't a day that I did not have severe pain in my head. Every neurologist I called, and even my primary care dr. called, said it would be 6-8 months before they could get me an appointment. Then they called Dr. Niaz's office. Even though his office is an hour drive from my house that didn't matter, I just needed relief. He and his staff were the only ones who didn't care that I wasn't an established patient. All they knew is that no one should have to wait that long for an appointment when they are suffering. They worked me in the very next day. Since that very first appointment he has always actively listened to problems I might be having and asks questions to ensure I am receiving the best care. If I can give rate less than 1 to this practice starting from the MA who whispered to the doctor in front of the patient to the unprofessional MD as well , I would . The MA was asked me about reason of the visit , and I told her what I went all through for the last month. Dr , writing down on my visit summary that I lie that I don’t have COVID -19 . Unprofessional doctor of course , even his visit summary also had a lot of grammatical errors and untrue facts. For sure , avoid this practice . I been effected with COVID -19 month ago not recently. For sure , I have the side effect from the virus not sick with COVID. Even I have a lot of allergies , MA wrote NKDA.

Very disappointing. Had several visits and multiple tests and then never heard anything. Was dismissive and annoyed if I had a concern or question. Took his test to another Neurologist and was able to get a diagnosis and treatment plan.

I am in tears. The medication you prescribed me, the same medication that I've been taking for years, was not enough. You literally did not prescribe me enough of my medication to last me until I could schedule another appointment. You gave me a weeks worth of medicine. 7 days for something I take once a day. 4 capsules at night. You gave me 30 pills. I had just enough pills to last 7 days, with 2 extra pills left over. This is the only proven medicine I've taken that's been shown to stop my seizures and yet you refuse to listen and then you don't even give me a enough of one medicine, but you will of my second medication I take?? What kind of doctor does this?? Not to mention the incredibly rude staff; "Hey, you!" Is not an acceptable form of inquiry. Nor is stating when the patient will be back without asking for their input. Nor should the first words out of your mouth to a patient be "Well, since you're going to be my patient, you're going to do xxxx," and expect them go along with it. Another thing that shouldn't happen? If a patient has to undergo something that requires some technology on their head, then the person operating the machine needs to have background working on the machine. In no way should you send someone who has never in their life operated a machine that goes on a persons head to do your job and I should have never heard the words "Do I know what I'm doing? Kinda?" If I schedule something on a certain day and ask that if it's at your main office and your clerks says yes and that appointment day comes and all of a sudden I get a call saying I have to go to your new office in Woodstock, during the time I work, how am I supposed to get there? The wait time is kind of ridiculous at his office. Every time I had seen the Dr. he treats me like I am an inconvenience. Anytime I have asked any questions, I’ve been treated like I am stupid or annoying. Overall, it’s a terrible experience every time I have an appointment.

Rude, incomplete, offers no help and lacks any compassion that might me customary for a physician. Survives on referrals from primary care physicians. If you are a primary care physician, spare yourself the loss of credibility and DO NOT refer any patient you value to this man.

Absolutely the best neurologist I have used. He was able to cut my migraines down from constant to only once a month. I have unknowingly suffered from sleep apnea for years and just accepted it but following his guidance I sleep like a baby. He just recently opened on office in Woodstock, Ga as well. Not impressed with their follow up with patients, got my results on 12/18 was scheduled for 12/10 but they cancelled it, and still don't have a CPAC machine. Can't talk to anybody and get a straight answer, of when I will get one. I called the office at 770-345-0070 recording says please call during office hours, I called at 3:30 on a Monday?, left a message and no one calls back. Dr. Niaz indicated I had a very severe condition of sleep apnea , would think they would be more pro-active.

Glad I did not "listen" to the other reviews! Selected doctor based on his education and years of practice. Front desk was friendly and efficient. Back office assistant was cheerful and did my preliminary check quickly. Dr Niaz listened to my symptoms, did a very through exam, and TOGETHER we mapped out a plan for further testing and follow up. Very pleased on all accounts. I was an RN for 36 years and have seen alot of uncaring doctors. Dr Niaz is definitely one of the good ones

He was rude, showed no compassion or apathy and most of all left him feeling hopeless and helpless. He needs to remember his physicians oath " First do no harm". Dr. Niaz has been a tremendous help and resource. From sleep management to managing migraine I have been so happy to have found him. I would recommend him and his office to anyone. Appointments are easy to make, phone calls promptly answered and most importantly he LISTENS to your concerns or problems!

I found Dr. Niaz and his staff to be rude, abrupt and uninterested or too busy to review my records, labs etc.. only interested in ordering more of what’s already recently been done. Worst bedside manner that I’ve seen in a physician in years, and I’m a nurse! Do yourself a favor and travel further to find a caring neurologist, he isn’t it.

Worst doctor experience i have ever had. Ran many tests...didn't explain why. Never got explanation of results. Schedules each test on different days. You have to keep going back and paying office copay. Won't send me copy of my reports. If i could give no stars, I would. Was yelling at his staff in front of me at one point. Not good. Actually spent very little time with the doc. Spent more time with technicians who can't answer questions.
