Dr. Gary T Brush

I've gone to Dr Brush since I was a sophomore in highschool. I'm now 41 years old & although I did visit a few other places over the years, I was more than happy to return to Dr Brush again & will continue for the future!! His office is hands down the best all the way around in my opinion!! Thanks for excellent service!!

I travel across the bridge from Paducah to use dr. Brush. Worth an extremely short drive since he is located a mile left off fist exit of I-24 in Illinois. No traffic, which suits me just fine. Staff smiling, engaged, and efficient. I had my noshow glasses customized for my larger head(lack of a better description). Dr brush customized the bottom reading portion of my glasses for a wider field of vision to accommodate the way I use my cell phone, which is normally farther away from my face than if I’m reading a book or papers. He measured me. He ask a lot of questions about how I use my eyes on a day to day basis. Refreshing to have that scale of personal attention when it came to the fit and finish. Apparently there are standard measurements associated with bifocals that really never worked for me because my cell phone is my primary source of reading these days and I don’t use it while stuck up close to my nose. Having glaucoma at age 43 after having perfect vision most of my life is terrifying. Dr. Brush explains everything so well to me and had made this much less scary. His wife and his entire staff there at his office are so helpful, professional and kind. Very happy with the service and care I received every time.

I was very pleased with Dr. Brush and his team. The waiting and sales areas are bright, clean, and attractive. Dr. Brush was very thorough and professional in doing my exam, and explained in detail the various options that I had for selecting lenses. (I hardly need a prescription so my options are distance only, reading only, bifocals, or do nothing.) Linda was extremely helpful in sorting out what is covered by my vision insurance and took the time to make a couple of phone calls to the insurance company to make sure I was getting full use of my benefits. They have what looks to be a good selection of frames, although in my case I had an existing frame that I wanted to use, and my insurance requires that the lenses be made in a lab specified by the insurance company, so I wasn't able to take advantage of Dr. Brush's on-site lens service. Linda took care of sending my frames off to that lab. My only complaint is that there is a television receiver playing in the waiting area. This is a widespread practice and I wish businesses would stop it. I don't need to be assaulted by talking heads or lame reruns outdated sitcoms, and am quite capable of reading or simply getting lost in my own thoughts, planning my day, working through problems, etc. I was very pleased with Dr. Brush and his team. Staff is awesome... Dr. Brush is awesome...he takes time with you explaining every detail and the ladies really go to extremes finding the right pair of glasses for you and has the utmost patience and all while smiling. I have been to see Dr. Brush twice in the past year and he is a top notch doctor. They only sold me what I needed and wanted. The whole staff is super nice. I drive an hour one way just to see him.

Really knows his stuff. Extremely friendly and has a great team of people with him. I recommend doc to everyone who needs to have eyes looked at for anything.

I am very impressed with Brush Optical. Dr. Gary Brush is very knowledgeable and extremely thorough with the eye exams. There is an endless selection of glasses frames. The staff is professional, very friendly and treat every patient with care. Brush optical is the very best optical business I have ever been to.

Been going to Dr Brush for yrs! Now my granddaughter who is 8 is going here. She had eye surgery when she was 2 and been wearing glasses ever sense. They were with coke bottle lens. Dr Brush was able to fit her with contacts! It has made such a difference in her life!
