When a spinal tap confirmed my father had CNS involvement from lymphoma Dr Guzman ordered an MRI that had close to zero value --- MRI shows something or not was irrelevant at that point. When asked why he ordered it, he said he wanted to provide more information. My dad only had days left at that point, but during the MRI his heart stopped. Dr Guzman was also totally unfamiliar with MRIs that had been taken only a couple of weeks earlier. In this case Dr Guzman's decisions might have only shortened my dad's life by a few days (and added to Medicare billing by a few thousand dollars), but I recommend you seek treatment from other doctors if you or a loved one has lymphoma.
