Harold Mark Welch JR.

Does anyone know if Dr. Welch is still practicing? I have been trying to get a hold of his office and all numbers seem to be disconnected.

Great Dr who is dedicated to his patients wellbeing

I have learned so many things about myself and my conditions through Dr Welch. he is always made me feel very comfortable in regards to speaking freely. He never leaves me without answers to my many questions about my condition. he has been extremely helpful in my adult life by encouraging me, allowing growth and learning about the things that sometimes hinder me in my daily life do not have to Define me forever.

Dr. Welch has been my doctor since childhood. I have always found that the questions and tasks that he asks me to do always relate to looking at the symptoms that I have and how to proceed. He does not push medicine first, we always talk about how to handle my ADD in other ways. I find that very reassuring about him. I trust him and now I am bringing one of my children to him with some of my same symptoms and I know that she will be in good hands with Dr.Welch,

I have been a patient of Dr. Welch for almost 20 years, since I was in elementary school. He has always been great and easy to deal with, but beware---Dr. Welch has a system, and if you deviate or get outside the bounds of it, he is not very friendly. In fact, when I left him some envelopes to mail me my scripts, he sent me one but I didn't need one so I waited until I was almost out of my current meds. By that time, the prescription was expired one day, and he was out on vacation. Long story short, I ran out of meds and desperately tried to reach him the day he got back, which he did call me back, but proceeded to chastise me and insult me for "not paying attention" and then "not listening" when he was telling me he was waiting for a new order of prescription pads to come in (I was trying to come by later that day if he got them in). It's ironic he would criticize an ADD patient for not paying attention. Obviously... I had just run out of medication. That's what happens. Anyhow, I am transferring care because of this incident, sorry to say. Otherwise, as long as you stick rigidly to his system (he has a HANDBOOK he gives his patients), then this is probably the best doctor you can find to treat childhood and adult AD/HD.
