Louis Dale Zegarelli

Dr Z, is a great doctors. Been his patient for over 20 years. He love his patient, great listener, your overall health is very important to him.

Dr. Louis Zegarelli has been my Dr. for over 30 years and hope to keep seeing him as long as I can. His bed side manners are great and will listen to everything I have to say and will explain everything very simple to me. I hope he doesn't retire any time soon.

Dr. Zegarelli is fantastic, but the office staff are probably the worst in all of medicine. It is just a race to see who is the most lazy and ignorant.

Best doctor I’ve ever been to.

I’ve enjoyed talking with him about COVID, and other health issues. He seems to be on top of everything.

I just called as a new patient and asked if I needed to schedule an appointment or if they just did walk-ins. In response, the receptionist said with a very rude attitude, “Well... this is a doctors office, so yes, you would need to schedule an appointment.” This could have been said without the attitude considering some dr. offices do accept walk ins. Not sure what I did to upset this woman but I’m sure the doctor would like to know she’s turning new patients away by making them feel uncomfortable. I love Dr Z and his staff. They are all very professional and care about their patients. Dr Z is easy to talk to, will help in every way he can and is a great listener too. Susan, Casandra, Nicole, and the little lady at the window when paying, mind has gone blank on her name, but they are all wonderful! I miss going to see them

Wait time means nothing. My first time I waited so long 1h that I was at the door when he finally showed up. Next appointment was st 8am, waited 1/2 hour asked if he was there. The office personnel could not tell me when he will be there. Now waiting in parking lot to try to get a new appointment. Say office open at 8, but it is 8:06 and the door is closed....

Dr. Zegarelli is the best PCP I have ever had, however his office staff are as handy as a hat rack in a moose farm.

What a shame. You expect to be treated with some kind of decency instead, you feel like you are just another stamp that they put on their paycard. I felt like I was at the county hospital, that opened with less than the allotted funds. My Appointment was at 12:25 and I got there at at 12:15. I walked out of the dr. office at 3:10, still without seeing the dr. That was a waste of 3 hours. Let us be 15 mins late and they be ready to reschedule us...... I was referred to Dr. Zegarelli by a friend who is a patient. It was fairly easy to get a new patient appointment without an extended wait. I was scheduled for 12:30 and arrived a few minutes early to deal with paperwork. I was not called back until almost 2 and then it was another 45 minutes before I saw the doctor. Apparently the last "morning patient" is scheduled at 11:30 and the first "afternoon patient" is not see until 2:00. Someone messed up scheduling. I really like Dr. Z but have had multiple problems with the clinic. At my first visit, he told me I need an at home sleep study due to multiple medical conditions and symptoms pointing to sleep apnea. He said the nurse would arrange it and someone would call me to set it up. I had a follow up two months later during which I told him no one had called about the sleep study. He pulled out a big red pen and made the note in huge letters then circled it and used a sharpie to draw an arrow pointing to it. My next follow up was scheduled for 4 months with labs prior to check levels of newly prescribed medicines. I fasted and went in for the labs. There were no orders. I called and had to leave a msg for nurse who never called back. Multiple calls with no call back, talked to front desk who put me on hold while she took care of it. She gave me the name of the doctor referred for sleep study and said nurse was sending lab orders right then and would call me as soon as it went through. I've since fasted two more times only to get there and find no orders. The sleep study doctor turned out to not only be out of my insurance network, but is a pediatrician who would definitely not see a 52 year old patient. I've called for 3 straight hours only to keep getting the voicemail during regular office hours. I feel like the nursing staff is incompetent and that is not acceptable, no matter how good the doctor is. I’ve been a patient for over five years, seeing him monthly. So everyone at the clinic is like family. I’ve received the best care and treatment of my life. Everyone is so polite, professional and friendly. I would recommend anyone.

Great doctor that truly cares

Have been seeing Dr. Z for over 5 years. Love the doc and the staff. Constantly working on making the flow of his practice more streamlined for the patient.

I just have to say this is, unfortunately, one of the worst Dr’s offices I have ever encountered. Of course, I never saw Dr. Zegarelli and cannot comment on him, but I had a regular physical in October. That was the only visit my insurance would cover. They assured me that they’d call after my blood work results would come in. I gave them two weeks. I’ve been calling since the 2nd week of November. I was tossed and tossed between people I was supposed to get my results from. Finally first week of December, we narrowed down the person I was supposed to reach. It took me two weeks to reach her. After we finally got online she said my blood work was lost, but not to fear I wasn’t charged for it by the lab I would just need to come and get it done again. I wasn’t excited. To add to that, I found a charge from the lab in my paperwork. I had to call the lab myself when I received it because this Dr’s Office didn’t give them my insurance. I had to do that. So I called her yesterday and told her that I was charged for the blood work that was supposedly lost and never made it to the lab. That was in the morning. She said she’d call me back right away. She never did. Instead, I called leaving multiple messages. I called again this morning. Left another message. When she finally called me back, guess what she said?! She found my blood work. There is only one problem. She cannot go over it with me. The person who can is not in the office and will call me back. You gotta me kidding me???!!!!! I am traveling out of the country tonight. I don’t know if the new right person will ever reach me. I’m just speechless I just have to say this is, unfortunately, one of the worst Dr’s offices I have ever encountered. While I like Dr Zegarelli appointment times mean nothing. Wait times of an hour past the appointment time are normal and 3 hours past are not uncommon.

Dr. Zegarelli is one of the best doctors in this area. I would refer him to anyone! He's kind, caring, and he listens to his patients. You never feel rushed when you see him.

Dr Z is an AMAZING doctor. Unfortunately it's impossible to get seen in a timely fashion. I can have the first appointment of the day and it still takes an hour to be seen. Once I waited 3 hours past my appointment time. His office staff are very nice but not very good at handling anything that deviates from their normal paperwork routine and are not good problem solvers if you need something out of the ordinary. It's a shame because both the doctor as well as his NP, phlebotomist, etc are very good at what they do, attentive, responsive, exactly what you want in a doc. Exceptional staff, and possibly the most caring doctor I have ever been to.

The office staff are very nice. Reena is awesome and very attentive, I visited there Arlington office for the first time 11/18/15. Was given a referral marked "Stat" to a specialist. My wife followed up today and not only had it not been processed, the lady who processes referrals was not even aware a referral even existed. Mistakes happen I know, so we will move forward and follow up more frequently with processes. The office staff are very nice. The NP has been superb! Professional, knowledgable, and compassionate.

Dr. Z cares about patient's need with his knowledge and passion.

In the last 5 years i had been very ill and had seen several doctors and even had to move out of state and as soon as i came back to Texas Dr Zegarelli is the best doctor i have every been to I cant wait to get back in to see him, I refuse to see any other doctor

I've been a patient of Dr Z since 2003...I've never had a bad experience. He's so understanding, and kind. I wouldn't trade him for another Dr!!!
