Dr. Terawaki is a very professional doctor: always friendly, explains treatments and never stops looking for answers. I would highly recommend her. She’s the best!!!!

Dr. Terawaki is superior in all that she does. She exemplifies all that a medical oncologist should be and more. She is also a very good listener and does not hear just what she wants to hear. She listens completely. Many doctors hear buzz words and use a one shoe fits all approach. That is not Dr. Terawaki.

Dr. Terawaki is excellent in knowledge, caring, and common sense. I highly recommend her.

Yesterday was my first appointment at the Sylva office to discuss issues about Lymphedema. Every one was friendly and professional. They listened to my concerns. Dr Terawaki listened to my long story about the problems I’ve been having over the past 12 years.

Dr. Terawaki has a relaxed, knowledgeable & soothing manner which i appreciated. She took her time informing me, answering my questions & exploring my overall well-being.

My wife was referred to Dr Terawaki for an elevated red blood count. Dr. Terawaki ordered a large number of test without anyone advising us that the bill would be over $5,000 just to then tell my wife that nothing was wrong. Strongly recommend getting cost of services first as you might have to cash in your life savings to pay for her services. She may be a good Dr. but we wouldn't return. Thorough, compassionate, very clear and patient with explanations she goes above and beyond.

Dr. Terawaki takes the time to call me back when I have a question and need to discuss my treatment. She takes time with me in her office when my daughter comes in with me and also has questions. I have been really pleased with her and I am glad I see her for my care.

Saw Dr Terewaki 6 months ago and after tests said I had no cancer. The pain was getting worse so ask my primary care doctor to get MRI which showed possible cancer in my bones. Further tests showed it was Lymphoma. Then after being told they were ordering a Pet-Ct, after 2 weeks I called doctors office and they had not ordered the scans have to wait another 2 weeks to get scans before they can start any treatment. Meanwhile I am in terrible pain and health declining rapidly. Understandably I am very disappointed with the level of care.

My husband and I moved to Asheville, NC in June of 2018 from Hershey, PA. Up until that time much of my care (chemo treatment and double mastectomy) had been completed at Penn State Medical Center, Hershey, PA. Dr. Terawaki embraced my case with an open mind and worked with my doctor at Penn State. Her professionalism, knowledge and communication skills were nothing less than outstanding! I would highly recommend Dr. Terawaki if you want 100% knowledge and care.
