Doctor Volfson is very informative, compassionate, and professional. The staff is equally caring and informative.

I was impressed by the efficiency of the new patient intake. For such a busy practice the staff were coolly professional, knowledgeable and helpful.

Very thorough examination, Dr Volfson explained things clearly and was very helpful, a wonderful doctor. The staff were courteous and willing to help. Will definitely return as necessary and highly recommend Dr Volfson. Thank you Dr, nurses staff and front desk.

They were friendly, timely, and informative. Staff explained each activity I was involved with and their follow up was great. Just had a surgical procedure and the care I received was just as good as past experiences.

Surgery 3 weeks ago. On discharge I was told to schedule a follow up appt since I came home with a nephrostomy tube in my back. Called scheduling, transferred to post op scheduler. He said he’d call back to set up the appt. Never did. I tried again another day. Was transferred to post op scheduler, went to voicemail which said they’d call back to set up, never did. My home health nurse tried a few days later to advocate for me and get an appt, no luck. My PCP tried to get me an appt while I was at that visit, sat on hold for 15 minutes and gave up, recommended a different urologist and suggested I move on. GI surgeon attempted to set something up for me, was told they’d call me right away. I finally got a phone call from Volfson’s office: a girl wanted to put me on hold to check if everything was “ok” for me to have an appt. I insisted she set it up without putting me on hold. She said I need to transfer you to the one who can actually set it up. You guessed it: Voicemail. Moving on.

Has the best interests of his patients at heart but can get frustrated at questions he feels he's already answered, listen carefully.

Most visits with Dr. Volfson were very quick like he was always in rush, which kind of gives you impression that its all about traffic of people and getting those copays as many as they can in a day. Today's visit was beyond disappointing. First time in my life I was rejected a service and it was by Mr. Volfson himself. He refused the service due to my previous visits to a different urologist, which was caused by Mr. Volfsons's unavailability at the time. I was honestly shocked that grown up person can act up like a little kid with hurt feelings. I'm sure they can choose to refuse their service to anyone, but I explained situation in a very polite way and gave no reason for such a reaction. Hippocratic oath should mean something in his profession, and such a behavior should not be tolerated. Very pleased with the services provided. Day and night versus the first urologist I had. Would highly recommend Dr Volfson after my first visit.

I had my first consultation with the provider. The office staff was very polite & professional. I was impressed with the provider. He was patient & knowledgeable. He addressed all of my concerns & ordered the appropriate testing to further evaluate my symptoms. I am actually returning today & I am excited to learn the results of those tests, as so that I can move towards feeling better. Highly recommend. I had my first consultation with the provider. Came in sat down, sped read thru my details on his computer for a minute or so, didn't look at me, gave a speech, got very agitated at my questions, got up and walked out,

My own experience at Dr Volfson's office is very positive. His staff is knowledgeable and professional. He sets a great example for them and lives up to his reputation as a highly-rated urologist.

Terrible. Brushed me off, so he could move on. Lost for words. I feel so disrespected and like I was bothering him for not feeling well. I read all the bad reviews and still went to appointment. If you see this before visiting, don’t even waste your time.

Volfson is the rudest dr I have ever been to. I've had 70yrs of doctor visit experiences. He always seems rushed.   At my last visit I explained why I'm now taking water pills. I wanted to know how that effects my kidneys.  In his very condescending manner and in a louder than needed voice he stated "I am not a heart dr, I am not a ?? dr, I am not a ?? dr.  I was sitting there in somewhat of a shocked state after being spoken to like that.  No one should be treated like that under any circumstance.  I was glad to get out of there.

All the staff are very friendly and helpful, which helps a great deal in high stress situations. Front desk is a pleasure to deal with, and the medical staff are extremely efficient and willing to talk about any issues that may come up. Doctor Volfson is also a pleasure to deal with - very knowledgeable, and very straight-forward when discussing conditions, treatment options, prognoses etc. All round a great experience - even if you don't want to be there in the first place. Excellent work and service.

Dr. Volfson takes his time when consulting with patients and listens and explains any concerns I have in laymens terms.

Ashley is always great. When I hear she is taking MA call I am so so relieved. So easy to work out issues with her. Also so nice and professional… Laura

I’ve been to Dr. Volfson three times. Each and every time I was rushed out of the office with very little of an explanation as to what my ailment could be. This last visit, I was concerned about a recurring issue I’m having. I specifically asked for my urine to be tested to rule out anything UTI related, to which he flat out refused to even acknowledge. I filled a test cup at the recommendation of one of the assistants, only to be told that it’s pointless to send for culturing. If a patient requests a test to be done, what kind of doctor refuses to oblige? Even if what I am dealing with is not serious, I’d like to err on the side of caution because this is my HEALTH we are talking about. For a doctor to just say “call and schedule another appointment if it starts to hurt again,” AFTER TELLING HIM I’VE BEEN IN PAIN FOR DAYS, is significant enough to tell me this doctor doesn’t care about his patients. I’ve already scheduled another appointment elsewhere. Never coming back here again.

This Dr is Rude and is only interested in how much money he can make.

I found Dr Volfson to be very aloof and rushed in his exam appointments. I developed surgery complications and his follow up on the problems were kept to the minimum. Dr Volfson was terrible at providing recovery recommendations. This was an experience that I hope no one else goes through. A cancer diagnosis is life changing and your doctors should be there with educated reassuring warmth, Volfson has none.

Office Staff- Ray Rd. They're demeanor has no concern nor accountability. If they only knew they are a direct reflection of ASU Urologists. Specifically, MA Lisa. The Office visit waits are at least an hour long & disorganized(I've had at least 6 visits). Last but not least, an "additional" Surgeon was used to assist in my surgery. However, he wasn't part of my Insurance Group? I was never disclosed & was billed $2,300 specifically by his Office. *Thanks Billing Office for "not"catching this prior. Office Staff- Ray Rd. Caring, thorough and efficient

I have been a patient with Dr. Volfson for over three years. I.have received excellent medical care from him and his staff. I make this recommendation without reservations.

This is a very efficient, organized and professional office. The staff and Dr Volfson have both been very easy to work with scheduling appointments, etc. The care I have been given to date has been excellent!

Doctor Volfson is the best Urologist. I would highly recommend him. Thank you for listening to my concerns and doing everything possible to resolve my issue. Your medical team is amazing too!

The practice as a whole is easy to work with. Calls answered quickly & can get an appt quit easily too. Dr. Volfson was great with my son. He’s had to be referred back multiple times for an ongoing issue. Other family members have seen Dr. Bryns too. Would highly recommend this urology practice!!

I have been a patient of Dr. Volfson at ASUI for a few years now. It's been a pleasure. He and the staff are friendly and professional. And I have received excellent care throughout. My treatment, my surgery, and my aftercare have been first class. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend ASUI.

Dr. Volfson has poor people skills! He has potential to be an amazing doctor however his lack of empathy supersedes his quality of work. Rushing and interrupting patients through questions without providing complete explanations makes him HIGHLY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE & CARELESS. Dr. Volfson has very little understanding and practically no compassion towards his patients.

Pushy, non personable and just didn't like him at all. Didn't take care of things as we discussed and required further treatment / procedure AGAIN that really made me feel pressured and uncertain. I was in a more pain after the lipotripsy than before. HORRIBLE experience!

After telling volfson that I couldn't afford an expensive surgery, he had me take another X-ray and verify I still had a kidney stone. I could feel the stone so obviously it was still there. We met for him to look at the x ray. The visit was literally 5 minutes and I was charged almost 300 dollars. He could have looked at it and called. He also told me that my kidney may have taken a serious hit. I had to have a different surgeon take my stint out 1.5 weeks later than it was scheduled to come out because volfson wasn't taking appointments. The new doctor told me my kidney would not be damaged at my age and I had nothing to worry about. My stint was disgusting because it was left in too long. This asshole his heartless and money hungry. He put me through psychological and financial stress for NO REASON. Go to Dr. K instead. he is a good man that cares about other human beings.

Between him, the front end office staff, and the medical assistant with the deceptive name ("Hope" as in "There is no") I could not recommend any less because negative stars aren't an option. Cold employees whose humanity and warmth has died are more suited for work at an abattoir than a medical facility. Incompetence delayed my recovery by weeks.

Horrible doctor. He was irritated when my family and I had questions regarding the procedure, did not provide any additional options. Later informed me if I didn't follow his suggestion I would end up back in the ER. No bedside manner or any care of his patients. Very narcissistic.

Not likely to recommend. Very rushed. Didn't answer questions fully. Not very personable. Seemed competent but I would still search for another Dr.

Incompetent staff. Volfson was rushed and impersonal. All he had to do was prescribe some antibiotics. But he prescribed a minimal amount (I assume so he could get paid for extra office visits ?) rather than enough to. Lear up the infection. Disappointing

Absolutely the most arrogant, cold doctor I have ever seen. All my records had been sent to him (CT scan, blood tests, urinalysis) prior to my app't. He said he didn't have them. In fact, he did. He was not interested in anything in the past, including current medical issues, medications, drug allergies. He prescribed a medication to help pass a kidney stone, ignoring all of the above. My reaction was severe, requiring a friend to come stay with me. Erratic heart rate, severe itching, nausea.

the best Doctor I could have picked for my procedure. I went strictly off the reviews in this website and definitely were correct. Dr.Volfson shows empathy for your issues/stress/concerns and is very professional and straight forward. couldn't have picked a better doctor. Adult circumcision was my procedure.. staff needs a little work, but at the end of the day, I'm happy with Dr.Volfson.

Had 2 emergency procedures this week. Dr. Volfson and everyone involved with my care at Banner Desert were amazing. I highly recommend Dr. Volfson and this facility. Thank you!

Horrible experience. Misinformation. Must have been reading the chart of another patient. Recommended an expensive diagnostic test based on incorrect info. Would not return calls to clarify info. Mysteriously, notes entered in portal record were altered after I questioned. Still no response from "qualified" provider. No response from office staff. Would never recommend practice that will not be accountable.

GREAT TEAM, Dr. Ilya Volfson and his nurses very kind and get you through what surgery you are to be scheduled for and the Male Nurse was Great extremely comforting. Front Desk associates are people that you feel comfortable and so relaxed right away with. Other than that, the staff seriously knows what they're doing . I'm so thankful for Dr. Volfson taking the time to take care of me thru this whole ordeal He is a very good Doctor. Thank You
