Irfan Hameed

I have seen Dr. Hameed a few times and he is taking very good care of me.

1st and 2nd visit Dr. Hameed took personal calls during my visit. He apologized the first time only. Front office staff take your vitals, not s nurse. No return call from their billing department. I had to call my insurance to find out what service being charged.

Not concerned with helping patients. Horrible communication with him his staff and office.

I am thankful to have a Doctor like Dr. Hameed. His no nonsense, to the point top rate care is excellent. Regarding his support staff - as with all businesses, some personnel are great - some are just awful. I simply tell myself that the Cardiologist is the one who will save my life so I'll just put up with the front desk personnel's faults.

I would not recommend going here if you want a cardiologist practice to rely on when it comes time for pacemaker replacement. My father has been going here for 2 years, he had an appointment in mid October for pacemaker beeping signaling low battery life. Determined battery had 3 months left. Also determined his home monitoring service was no longer active by Excel. All beeping alerts turned off on pacemaker and was told would schedule for replacement. Returned to the clinic mid November for another appointment and reminded that surgery still was not scheduled. I called the office prior to Thanksgiving to remind again no surgery scheduled. Never received any return calls. Called again first week in December to remind no surgery scheduled. No returned phone calls. Called office again to remind again no surgery scheduled and alerts turned off on pacemaker and they are neglecting their patient at this point. Was finally given a surgery date but only to receive a call 3 days prior to surgery that the doctor couldn’t do it. Was given multiple excuses to surgery schedule full, couldn’t perform in Decatur and another Cardiologist had booked all surgery spots at the other hospital. After multiple calls was told Excel would contact another cardiologist to perform??? Received appointment at Advanced Heart Care to see doctor and schedule replacement??? Went their today and was very pleased. If you have to go to another cardiologist when it comes time for a procedure why would you even use Excel. I also spoke with office manager at Excel yesterday about my concerns and she was not apologetic or even willing to help. I let her know please send all records to Advanced Heart Care and cancel all future appointments for my father and mother as we would not be returning. I honestly hope Dr Hameed can get his office staff in order to prevent this happening to other patients.

Dr. Hameed is great! His office crew leaves alot to be desired....
