Dr. Janet L Osborne

She was an excellent doctor from beginning to end. She was very concerned about my medical prognosis and she provided the time I needed for questions and concerns. Dr Osborne was very knowledgeable and professional when discussing my situation and outcome. I felt totally comfortable after my initial visit and knew she was who I wanted to care for me and my situation.

Dr. Osborne deserves much more than 5 stars. Being diagnosed with any cancer is quite frankly terrifying. She was forthcoming about everything, and had a plan when I went in the first time. She is honest, kind and caring as well as knowledgeable and very competent. I can't thank her and all the members of her office team and her surgery teams enough. I had two surgeries in just a little more than a month and they are all amazing! Thank you Dr. Osborne and thank you all her staff and the staff at Carilion! This is the first time going to this doctor and she is wonderful. She is very concerned with what is going on with you and deeply involved in your case to make sure you are cared for to the best of her ability. Dr Osborne staff is ver up to date on what is going on and very considerate to your needs in every aspect of this field. I have very good vibes about all of this. Had an irregular pap where they found 3 pre cancerous lesions so I was sent here. I was only in the waiting room 5-10 min before called back. The nurse was super nice the whole time. Waited 5-10 min when the doctor came in. She took her time talking to me and explaining what she was going to do. She recommended doing a biopsy so she could know more when it came time for surgery. She let me know what to expect and when she put the needle in and when she cut out some skin. She made me feel very at ease. she said if i had any questions or just needed to talk i could call the office any time. I highly recommend her for gyno and cancer issues. Has no bed side manners, never looks at your chart or information that you spent so much time on filling out.Even second appointment she never looked at chart to see what I was there for no way she could be a five star, sat over a hour with bottom off waiting not any one to say she a little behind, and when she feel like checking you she just does with out saying what’s she’s gonna do. Dr. Janet Osborne is awesome! She takes time to listen to me and tells me the facts in a way I can understand and what is best for my situation, and She is always up on the latest improvements. You won’t find a better doctor in our area! Dr. Osborne was exceptional from day one. She researched my case and had a plan before I stepped foot in her office. Her dedication to doing what is the BEST option for her patients is top notch! She doesn’t cut corners. She truly CARES about her patients. I was an unusual case, but ended up needing a complete hysterectomy which Dr. Osborne performed. I have only good things to say about her and her staff. During a very difficult time, they were a wealth of information and helped me and my family get through it all.

Dr. Osborne performed a complete hysterectomy on me in September of 2017.. The surgery was very complicated due to several other problems and she was wonderful!! She was very caring and considerate to my family as well! I feel blessed to have had her as my doctor!

A close family member has recently been a patient of Dr. Obsorne's. I've gone to several doctor's appointments with them as well as being there during the surgery and hospitalization. Through the whole thing, Dr. Osborne has been thoughtful, kind, and communicative. No one likes being a patient, particularly in a Gyn Oncology practice. Terrible bedside manner. Impatient, condescending, rude to nurses; not interested in answering questions. She should not be in oncology care. No follow-up on with chemo patients.

Not a doctor in my book. She performed a hysterectomy on my mother. doctor Osborne cut her intestines, my mother has never recovered form this surgery. Osborne acted like she had did a great surgery, she even told my mother that there was nothing she could do to her. She did nothing to correct the problem. My mother was left to try and figure this out on her own. She should be put under review.

She is very supportive, clear and helpful. Throughout my pregnancy and post-natal as well.
