One of the worst doctors we've had.

Vance misdiagnosed my mother’s broken thumb injury as gout to cover up for Cypress Meadows Post Acute staff, even after reading an X-ray. Mom’s primary Dr. and 3 care nurses concurred it was a break.He should have his license taken away - he’s a dishonest, immoral quack!

Went to Dr V with a lot of back and leg pain. He ordered PT and an MRI. Had the MRI weeks ago and the front office will not give me an return appointment and instead said they will call if they get a cancellation- STILL WAITING. Since then the pain is so bad I am barely able to walk and fell. The PT he sent me to gave me a list of exercises to do at home and told me to ice and use ibuprofen...NOT HELPING!!! What kind of Dr. Office never answers the phone? On a Wednesday at 12:30 (NOT a holiday) and the recording says I have called "outside of business hours." I tried again at 3:30 pm only to get ANOTHER recording prompting me to "leave a message." This has happened several times over the past two years. I get a machine more often than a person. It's not like he's doing surgery or delivering babies. What kind of Dr. Office never answers the phone? Dr. Vance listens and really tries to help. I have stayed with him because he has really helped me. That being said, (most of, there were very helpful staff too) his previous office staff were some of the rudest people I have ever interacted with. His current location in Chico is a breath of fresh air. The staff have been incredibly helpful and kind. I was very close to finding a new doctor but I am hopeful his office with continue with a more professional staff with some bedside manner. Dr. Vance listens and really tries to help. Considering that one never truly wants to be in a position to go to a Dr's office, I can say it has been a pleasant experience each time I have had to.

Dr. Vance is one of the best family practice doctors I have ever met. Very knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend him.

Pompous and arrogant. Office was horribly disorganized. Stepped on his "Holy Ground" upon assessment of his office many years ago. Hoping it has improved dramatically!!!

My experience here has always been great. The communication is refreshing. Staff is very kind and want you comfortable. It’s nice to finally GP that listens and cares.
