Jay Barry Krasner

Dr.Krasner is wonderful! He listened to my concerns and didn't make me feel crazy when other doctors have in the past. He was informative, kind, proactive and referred me to a few specialists to seek some answers. I highly recommend him!!

In our three-generation experience w/Dr. Krasner he is an experienced family doctor, who makes things simple to understand, treats a variety of health concerns, listens well, seems to always find a solution, and truly cares.

Dr. Krasner seems well informed, gives sensible advice.

While the office staff is very nice as well as the MD hence the 2 stars. There are a few things you should be aware of. 1. I was a NEW PT and was never examined by the DR.just the Nurse /MA?. The Dr. did come in at the end and ask if i had any questions. None of my concerns were address thoroughly and I am still waiting for a call for my blood results. In my honest opinion I will not return and I cant recommend. As a primary care MD this was not great care. While the office staff is very nice as well as the MD hence the 2 stars. I have been a patient of Dr. Krasner for (probably) over 30 years. It's been so long I don't remember when I started seeing him but I have lived in Sudbury for 33 years. I have been relatively healthy during this time (Thanx, Doc!) and I have never had any issues or concerns with Dr. K or his staff. It's always a pleasure whenever I visit them. Office staff is polite and professional. Dr Krasner is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and just an overall great doctor.

I was able to get an appointment quickly. The staff was great; someone picked up the phone right away which is rare these days. The Dr was able to accommodate me and do the visit via telehealth which made me feel safe and comfortable. He was easy to talk to and I had a very pleasant experience with this practice.

Today was my first appointment with Dr. Krasner. It was a warm welcoming from everyone on staff, from the front desk, nurse to Dr Krasner himself. I had many things I wanted to speak to him about walked in with a list and looking for advice. He was very attentive to details and over exceeded my expectations. Dr. Krasner is professional, nice and kind. We absolutely like him! All other staff are awesome too. We are really glad that we have him as our PCP. He helped us a lot!

All you want in a primary provider. He is very knowledgeable and has outstanding analytical diagnosis skills. He also understands patients personal preferences. For me it is minimizing medications, I once had a potentially dangerous condition and he knew to come in saying I know you don't like meds but this is why you must take this med. Being sensitive to personal care preferences is so important. Finally on the rare time I need to visit for an issue, the office staff manages to make room in the busy schedule for important issues. My mom visited us and on her first day she had the problem with her leg. I called to the office and Dr. Jay Krasner immediately scheduled an appointment for us. My mom didn't speak an English, I was with her all the time. Dr. Jay Krasner examined her and prescribed the medication. He was careful, confident and explained everything very well. My mom said that he was the best doctor she ever saw. Right now she is doing very well thanks to Dr. Krasner.

My doctor for at least fifteen years. Couldn’t ask for a better one.

Dr Krasner has been my PCP for over 20 years now, he has not only seen me through the day to day sniffles, bumps and bruises but several major operations as well. He and his staff really go the extra mile to help and check up on you, get you right on track to feeling better. About 20 or so of my family members also see him and we would be lost without him. Ya just can't find a practice like this anymore

I was a happy patient until I was recently referred to a psychologist for suspected ADHD. 5 weeks & $125 of co-pays later, I learn that Dr. Krasner does not prescribe medication for this and neither does the psychologist they referred me to. So I am diagnosed, but no one can write a prescription -- essentially, I am supposed to now go see someone else to be re-diagnosed. To add insult to injury, when I called Dr, Krasner's office to find out how the details on why they would refer me to someone unable to treat me, there was nothing but deniability from Sharon and she even hung up on me. I am in sales and being hung up on does not faze me in the least, so I called back and she denied hanging up on me. That was extremely unprofessional and I am so infuriated by the entire experience that I will be switching my PCP. First Class family Doctor, has looked after me and the family since 1990.

I have been a patient of Dr Krasner for over 20 years. I am very happy with Dr Krasner and his excellent staff. Always have felt comfortable and welcome. Wonderful, very capable, caring family doctor!

This is the oldest primary care practice in Sudbury - over a quarter of a century. Despite that, they are graciously accommodating of newcomers to the community. What is most striking about this practice is that everyone from Doctor Jay on down is happy to be working there. Not only that, they seemto be working on your behalf, rather than a hospital or insurance company

I have NEVER had an experience like I just had with Dr. Krasner's office. I needed a prior authorization for a medication I take. Krasner's office first made me make all the phone calls, they failed to respond to requests for further info from my insurance provider. When I got to the bottom of this, I was told that the person who handles prior authorizations had "mommy's hours", I would have to wait 2 more days without medication and was told to "have a nice storm" and then they hung up.
